Rio and Pedro were honestly two of the nicest people we met during our holiday. 🥰 They were always incredibly friendly, respectful and helpful, and they were always there for us whenever we needed help at the club. Both of them are very professional, attentive and always in a great mood. What we especially loved was the way they motivate and encourage everyone to join in with the activities. They really have a talent for getting people involved and creating such a fun and positive atmosphere. You simply want to join in when they are around! Their positive and welcoming personalities definitely made our holiday and our time at the club even more enjoyable. Thank you so much for all the great moments, your help and your amazing energy! We would absolutely recommend them and would be very happy to see you both again on our next holiday. ❤️

We had an amazing stay, it was a great location with amazing weather. The atmosphere around the main pool and the Marrakesh were next to non. The room and entertainment were definatly worth the value and was clean when we arrived. We had a room on the front of the hotel with a lovely but distant view of the sea and the noise level was practically non existent. We had great service from the animation team especially Rio who made sure our time was a happy, fun and enjoyable. He worked incredibly hard to get us involved in all the activities especially his fire show where he picked us up and looked after us on the night out to the club. He definitely was a massive positive contribution to our much needed holiday. Massive thanks to Rio and the rest of the animation team for their hard work.

Overall, Venezia is absolutely worthy of its 4-star rating. It's a lovely, friendly resort with fantastic staff, great facilities, and a relaxed atmosphere. There were only two aspects that left us disappointed, but everything else was excellent and I would highly recommend the hotel to families. Smoking The biggest negative for us was the smoking policy. Guests seemed to be allowed to smoke wherever they liked, including around the pool, at the bar, in the snack bar, and even during the evening entertainment. It was unpleasant at times, especially when some guests showed little consideration for others by smoking close to children and families. A designated smoking area would greatly improve the experience for non-smokers. Entertainment The entertainment team leaders, Nino and Marrieta, were fantastic. They were friendly, fun, and excellent hosts every evening. The Mr & Mrs competition, Bingo, and Music Night were particularly enjoyable, and the kids loved the mini disco. Rio was also great. He ran the water polo and water basketball sessions, performed his own show one evening, and drew caricatures for guests who wanted them. That said, I felt some of the external evening acts could have been much better and were quite underwhelming. Daytime Entertainment Unfortunately, the daytime entertainment was somewhat inconsistent. In comparison to other hotels very poor. Some days there would be water polo, some days water basketball, and occasionally water aerobics. However, the advertised schedule was rarely followed, which disappointed many guests. We never really knew what activities would be taking place each day. The activities board advertised events such as table tennis tournaments and darts competitions, but these never seemed to happen despite plenty of guests wanting to take part. The highlight of the week was definitely the afternoon foam party led by Rio and DJ Nino. It was an incredible event and enjoyed by everyone. A Concerning Incident This leads to my second negative point. During our stay, the fourth member of the entertainment team, was dismissed. Throughout his time at the hotel, he was frequently seen drinking alcohol and smoking in front of guests. He was intoxocated and stoned. His behaviour became increasingly inappropriate and unprofessional especially to children, making a number of guests uncomfortable. Several guests raised concerns with management, who took the matter seriously and, following a meeting, dismissed him. Credit to the hotel for acting quickly and addressing the situation appropriately. Food & Drink Main Restaurant Breakfast offered the usual selection of hot and cold items. The only thing I found missing was hash browns. Lunch and dinner featured different themed cuisines each evening, while always providing familiar options such as chicken and pork. There was also a wide selection of fresh fruit, salads, and desserts. Drinks in the restaurant were self-service and included soft drinks, juices, beer, and wine. Despite the hotel being busy, there was always a table available and we never had to wait. Snack Bar The snack bar served pizza, hot dogs, gyros, and chips throughout the day, along with self-service drinks. The two ladies working in the kitchen were incredibly friendly, cheerful, and hardworking. The food was simple but very enjoyable. Pool Bar Maria looked after the main pool bar during the day and was excellent. The cocktail selection was quite limited, but you could mix any spirit with a soft drink. The children's cocktails were particularly popular. Service was generous and friendly, and there never seemed to be restrictions on the number of drinks ordered. The evening bar staff were equally friendly and hardworking. Rooms Our room was on the smaller side, but it had a lovely sea view and was very close to the main pool. I wasn't particularly keen on the children sleeping in bunk beds, but we knew this before booking so it wasn't a surprise. Rooms were cleaned daily, towels were changed regularly, and the balcony was equipped with a table and chairs. There is also a safe available in the room for approximately €2 per day, payable at reception. Pools As we were travelling with children, we didn't use the Marrakesh pool. Instead, we spent our time between the main pool, the snack bar pool, and the splash park. One thing that worried me before arrival was that the pools looked quite small in the photos online, but this wasn't the case at all. Snack Bar Pool This pool was the smallest and felt slightly more crowded. The water wasn't quite as clear as in the other pools, but it was still pleasant. There is also a small children's pool next to it. There were always sunbeds available, no matter what time of day we arrived. Main Pool The main pool was excellent and understandably the most popular. Even during peak season it never felt overcrowded, apart from during the foam party. There was always plenty of space to swim, play, and relax. The pool is located next to the bar, and most daytime activities and music take place there. What surprised us most was how uncrowded it felt despite the size of the hotel. One unusual rule is that the pools remain locked until 10am. Personally, I think this is a little late, but it does prevent the early-morning rush to reserve sunbeds. The upside is that there were always spare loungers available throughout the day, sometimes even right beside the pool. Unlike many resorts, the sunbeds weren't packed tightly together, meaning you could enjoy your own space. There is no life guard at this pool. Maria at the bar is a qualified lifeguard but in reality she is too busy to watch the pool and isn't sighted on it at all. Splash Park The splash park was fantastic. There is a dedicated area for younger children with smaller slides, plus a separate section featuring three larger water slides suitable for both children and adults. The queues were minimal, with the longest wait being around 30 seconds. The lifeguards here were particularly attentive, and there were plenty of sunbeds available nearby. Pool towels are available for a small deposit and can be exchanged daily. Faliraki Faliraki is now much more of a family resort than the party destination it once was. There are plenty of souvenir shops to browse, and the hotel provides a free shuttle bus service into town five times per day. Alternatively, a taxi costs around €10. The beach is sandy, clean, and has beautiful clear water. I'd recommend bringing water shoes, as there are stones for the first few metres when entering the sea. Once past that, it's perfect. Other Facilities The hotel shop next to reception stocks snacks and essentials. There is also a games room with pool tables and claw machines, although the pool cues could definitely do with replacing! A useful bonus is that the snack bar pool has an electric pump available for inflating inflatables in seconds. Final Thoughts With the exception of the smoking issue and the concerns regarding one member of the entertainment team, our stay at Venezia was fantastic. The hotel was clean, the food was plentiful, the pools were excellent, and the staff throughout the resort were friendly, helpful, and hardworking. For families looking for a good-value all-inclusive hotel in Faliraki, I would happily recommend Venezia and would certainly consider returning.
