Atlantica Eleon Grand Resort

After having such a great time last year we came back for a second year and were really happy that we had another fantastic experience. We came further into the school holidays this year but the hotel still didn't seem crowded and there were no issues getting a sunbed in the beautiful olive groves. We arrived at the hotel about 10pm and were so happy to hear they had kept some hot food plated up for us. A lovely touch over the sandwiches left in a room we've had in other places. After not using our sea view room balcony much last year this time we opted for a garden room. We were placed in block 400 which was situated between the main building and the entertainment area, this worked really well for us but if you need you can call reception for a golf cart to the main building. The food, bar service, pool areas and staff were all as excellent as last year and it was nice to see some familiar faces. The hotel had made some upgrades to some of the communal areas and it would be nice to see some upgrades to the rooms in future, the bathroom in our room was looking a little tired, but the rooms are well equipped and cleaned to a really high standard. For the second time we had a wonderful, relaxing family holiday and are very likely to make it a hat-trick in 2027.

We had an excellent stay at Atlantica Eleon in Zakynthos, and the overall experience was truly outstanding. The quality of the service was exceptional — every single member of staff was always welcoming and ready to help, and what really stood out was that everyone responded with a smile. From the housekeeping staff taking care of our room to every waiter and member of the restaurant and bar teams, the friendliness and positive attitude were consistent throughout the entire hotel. Our sea-view room was very comfy, with a beautiful view and everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. One of the things we enjoyed most was the wonderful garden area, especially the beautiful olive trees. Sitting in their shade with the sound of the cicadas was incredibly relaxing. The hotel’s location also provided a lovely natural breeze, which made the warm temperatures much more comfortable, both on the beach and around the Olivia Bar, where the evening events took place. The entertainment was another highlight. During the day there were plenty of activities, including stretching, aqua fit and various games, live concerts around the pool area while the evenings offered great entertainment (exception made for the Greek night. That was the only failure; it did last just 30min cause everybody left not liking it. Sometimes it can happen to get underperforming external partners, it didn’t influence at all our experience and feedback). A special shoot-out to the B-Brothers from Tanzania and their amazing Acrobatic shows, which enlightened especially the kids, hosting them as part of the show. There was always something going on, but the atmosphere remained relaxed, enjoyable and never overwhelming. Regarding the sea access, it is worth mentioning that the two entry points are relatively small, so they are more like little seaside spots than traditional beaches — one is sandy, while the other is more rocky/pebbly. However, the sea is shallow at the beginning and offers surprisingly enjoyable snorkeling. It is easy and accessible for everyone, even beginners, and was particularly great entertainment for children who are just getting started with snorkeling and using masks. It is a simple but really enjoyable way to spend time in the water and discover some marine life. The food experience was another standout feature. The buffet restaurant offered excellent food, with a couple of live cooking stations and an impressive level of cleanliness and attention to detail. The staff were incredibly attentive, keeping every counter spotless and cleaning up immediately whenever anything got messy. Drinks were served directly at the table, while the tables were constantly cleared and cleaned — they were always incredibly vigilant. We also loved the à la carte restaurant right by the sea, which offered a beautiful view and a wonderful, relaxing atmosphere — a perfect setting for a meal. Overall, Atlantica Eleon is a fantastic choice for a relaxing family holiday in Zakynthos. Not overwhelming, not too crowded, not noisy, excellent service, genuinely friendly staff, beautiful surroundings, great entertainment and enjoyable sea access made our stay truly memorable. We would definitely come back!

We stayed at Atlantica Eleon for 7 nights with the family, and we were genuinely very pleased with our experience. The first thing that really impressed us was the quality of the food. It was truly excellent: a wide variety of dishes, beautifully prepared, with high-quality ingredients. It is not easy to find such a varied and well-curated dining experience at a resort like this. Another absolute highlight was the beach and the sea, especially in the morning. Quite and clear. We also really appreciated the cleanliness and the overall organisation . The staff were consistently kind, helpful and friendly, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The resort is also very well organised, with plenty of activities and things to do during the day and night For a family holiday, it was the good choice for us. The combination of a beautiful sea, outstanding food, excellent service and the staff makes Atlantica Eleon a place where you could enjoy your holiday! Super recommanded, especially for families!

We travelled as a family group of 10, including children, some of whom are neurodiverse. Before travelling, we emailed the hotel several times requesting that our four rooms were located close together and received confirmation that our request had been noted, so we were extremely disappointed with what happened on arrival. When we checked in, only two of our rooms were together, while the other two were scattered around completely different areas of the hotel. We explained the situation at reception but were told there was nothing they could do until the following morning and that a manager would contact us. Unfortunately, no manager ever contacted us. We had to repeatedly return to reception ourselves and it took two days before we were finally given rooms in the same area. This meant we couldn’t properly unpack or settle into our holiday because we had no idea whether we would be moving rooms. In the end, our friends actually had to downgrade their room in order for us to be accommodated closer together. For a hotel advertised as 5-star, the restaurant was also disappointing. The queues at times were ridiculous and certainly not what I would expect from a 5-star hotel. There was a reasonable choice of food and it was OK, but the restaurant itself looked tired and neither the food nor the overall experience felt 5-star. There were also lots of smaller things that added to the disappointment. One morning I went to the main reception bar and asked for an English breakfast tea. After being shown different tea bags, I was then simply told they had “finished”. We also found the cocktails quite unpleasant. The service at the pool bar could be frustrating too. On more than one occasion staff continued their own conversations while customers were waiting. I’m not talking about waiting a few seconds — there could be a queue and staff would continue chatting for several minutes before serving anyone. Sunbeds were fine at the beginning of our stay, but towards the end it became increasingly difficult to find one and there didn’t seem to be anyone around trying to help guests find spare beds. Another major frustration was our final day. The day before, we asked if we could keep just one room anywhere in the hotel for our group. We were told this wasn’t possible and that there was no courtesy room. I left my number and asked if someone could double-check and let me know, but again nobody contacted me. I went back that evening and was told a manager would be coming in and it could be checked. The following morning I went back again, only to be told there were no rooms and that the manager hadn’t actually been in, so it hadn’t been checked. We were told to leave our luggage in a storage area, but it didn’t feel particularly secure and there was a large sign stating that the hotel accepted no responsibility for loss or damage. When I questioned who was actually responsible for our belongings the gentleman said the hotel i pointed out the sign and the member of staff agreed that the communication had been extremely poor. After going back yet again, suddenly a room was available for us to keep. I was grateful we eventually got one, but it shouldn’t have taken that amount of chasing. There were positives. The rooms were clean, although again I wouldn’t personally describe them as 5-star standard. The entertainment team worked really hard and were genuinely lovely people. The pools were warm and the children absolutely loved the slides, which was probably one of the highlights for them. Overall, we still managed to enjoy our family holiday and I wouldn’t say the hotel was terrible — it was OK. However, it didn’t live up to the 5-star rating for us. The biggest issue wasn’t any one individual problem, it was the constant lack of communication and having to repeatedly chase reception to get anything resolved. With better organisation, communication and customer service, our experience could have been completely different. Would we return? Probably not.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Atlantica Eleon Grand Resort in Zakynthos with my wife and our children on August . From the moment we arrived, we felt very welcome. The resort is beautiful, very family-friendly, and the kindness and professionalism of the staff made our holiday especially enjoyable. A big thank you to the entire hotel team, including General Manager John, for his kindness and for arranging our accommodation so well. We really appreciated the personal attention and hospitality. Our most special and heartfelt thanks go to Ms. Kalliroy, Head of Guest Relations. She was absolutely amazing throughout our stay and truly made our holiday a wonderful experience. Whatever request we had—whether it was helping us with arrangements, reservations, or anything else—she somehow managed to make it happen with her “magic hands.” Nothing ever seemed too much trouble for her. Kalliroy combines genuine warmth, kindness, professionalism, and an exceptional ability to take care of her guests. She made us and our children feel very special and looked after us in a way we will always remember. She is a true star of the resort and a wonderful example of what outstanding hospitality should be.
