I'm not one to normally come online and complain or leave bad reviews but this place was terrible from start to finish. The trouble started when we arrived at the hotel at around 4am after travelling through the night with my young children, us and another family arrived at the hotel at the same time they checked in 1st to find there was another family fast asleep in there room! After the reception staff was made aware of that he went to check in there was anyone in our room before checking us in and guess what there was! So then we was told by reception the room isn't ready and it would be ready by 3pm that's 11 hours after arriving from a night flight. At around 9am the hotels customer service manager came to us where we was all sat in reception still waiting for our room. I explained that this wasn't good enough we have a 3 month old baby and we need the room ASAP for feeding ect and her attitude was horrible. Her words was " what do you expect me to do, it's your fault for arriving so early have you never stayed in a hotel before" We've stayed in many hotels around the world and never experienced this especially when booking a package holiday with TUI. The food The food isn't too bad as long as you don't mind eating the same meals everyday for your entire stay there is very little veriaty and it's the same thing day in day out. My other kids really struggled as their kids section is terrible with only 3 items and to be honest I wouldn't feed it my day. The rooms We booked a swim up deluxe suit what was nice but rather small nowhere for suitcase ect and 2 small wardrobes for us all to share so was very cluttered especially with a cott in there for the baby. The only issue we had with our room was one of our clean towels left by the cleaner was absolutely smothered in human poo what's absolutely disgusting so we refused to use the hotels towels again as they clearly are not washed properly. I know it's advertised as a 5 star hotel but in other country's it would be lucky to get 3 star. Glad to be home and wouldn't recommend or stay again.

Food is repetitive,not the best food,pools and rooms are dirty,however,the servers,barmen,and front desk are the most amazing people

Coeliac disease - the only reason I have scored a 3 rather than 4. Currently staying here for 2 weeks and they are clueless when it comes to coeliac disease and cross contamination. They said they can make gluten free pancakes and they do it on a separate hob to what they do the usual pancakes on but when it came to the chocolate spread I was told that the chocolate spread that was labelled as having gluten in it was gluten free and they told my son to try it . She went to check and said yes it’s gluten free and bought out a bowl of it for my son which he was about to tuck into so I said can I see the ingredients … I translated it and the first thing that comes up WHEAT ! No - not gluten free . I had also messaged the hotel in advance asking if they have gluten free chocolate spread to which they said yes so I asked if they are able to get some in (other hotels I have stayed at have done this ) and it was a flat NO! - not helpful . Even the ketchup also states it has been in a facility that produces wheat. They are clueless. They do make pizza and pasta on request and have a gluten free corner with bread and horrible tasting muffins and rice cakes, cereal , breadsticks and cookies sometimes but everything else has to be out of the buffet which does have labels on so I have been selecting things from the back with my own fork to reduce the risk of cross contamination . Obviously food is a massive thing when you have coeliac disease and you have to be very careful. I have been to hotels that are a lot better in this department to be honest so although you would manage and find things to eat I wouldn’t recommend it for someone with coeliac disease when your spending all that money to be all inclusive- we have had to go out and buy our own supplies - chocolate spread , ketchup , snacks. They have gluten free bread but no gluten free toaster available. Other than that all is ok. Drinks ok , food is good . Entertainment - ok(ish) air conditioning- the lowest it is set to go is 19 degrees which for us British people is obviously still very hot and they only provide a duvet at night so have had to sleep naked on top of the covers and still been sweating hot - may feel ok for the Greeks who are used to the heat but us British people - can’t sleep properly it’s so hot. Not good enough compared to other places we have stayed where we are able to set the temperature to what we feel is a good temperature for us. All in all our 2 week stay (family of 11) has been ok but have been to much better with staff who will do things to help us out and get in gluten free ingredients etc so in comparison this hotel is not very accommodating and we won’t be returning next year unfortunately. Edit - it is our last day and money has gone missing from 3 out of 4 of our family rooms . One - 10 euros from a child’s purse (this was 100% in there in the morning as my partner tidied up , put the purse on the side and took the room key out of her purse noticing she still had 10 euros in there to spend that evening . When she went to get it out to spend it it had gone . Another room - 3 euros missing from the side (yes I know it’s only 3 euros but still missing) Another room - 6 euros missing from bedside table. My mum also heard a man a few days ago talking to the cleaner saying his camera was missing from his room. Management have obviously stuck up for it’s staff and said nothing has ever been reported missing form anyone else so if you go here be careful with your money . All phones , iPads etc have been left out no problem, just money has gone missing

Wonderful hotel. Stayed at the Aqua Bay suites last year and both hotels are very similar. We had a swim up room which was amazing. Just a shame about the very loud, disruptive big family next door with no respect for other guests. The best part is the water park with slides and lazy river. Didn't have long queues either, so even better. The staff were very friendly especially Ionna in reception, Natasha, Katerina and Graciela in the restaurant. Lovely food and plenty of tables in the restaurant. Thank you to the lovely maids Maria and Barda who made some pretty towel art in our room! 😊 Clean towels twice a day and pool towels provided. Only a short walk to beach and shops. Zante airport was over crowded and chaotic, massive queues for check in, security and passport control. Overall a wonderful family holiday. Thank you to all at Aqua Bay. We will return again definitely. 😊

Booked late and booked with TUI following our family booking the Aqua Bay Suites. Currently here and enjoying the hotel. Pleasantly surprised with the hotel. It’s intimate, has a nice ambience which makes it relaxed. Multiple smaller pools assist with this and whilst there have been noisy families at the pool nearest, the “main” pool and the one close by has been very serene but active. The bar staff at the Helios bar alongside those in reception have been very customer service friendly. We can’t fault them. The restaurant food at the Bay Hotel is plentiful, albeit samey each day, no feature night to break up the monotony of the same foods. It is a little chaotic at times dependent upon the time you eat, especially at breakfast for the juice (kids like playing with the buttons to fill the bottles and adults just standing around waiting - probably the wrong location for the juice). Snacks around the pool - Whilst the snacks aren’t buffet style, it suits. Limited menu that the restaurant make and they’re of decent quality. Burgers are questionable (the patty - think it’s a mix between pork and vegetarian 🤷 (same at the waterpark so assume they’re mass produced)) but it’s cooked to order. Hot dogs are tinned, buns dwarf it but again little things that don’t really affect the situation. Pasta options are huge and wraps have been a huge hit with the kids. The waterpark is a bit hit and miss - mainly down to longevity. Not many slides but never a long wait. Cocktail bar pool has dyed white shorts a yellow colour (chlorine?) and wraps the size of a hot dog from a tin that’s been wrapped in cling film and became soggy is the downside - NOT the same as the Aqua Bay Suites wraps that are superior. Some TLC of the showers wouldn’t go a miss and expansion of the slides would assist with the longevity aspect but can’t complain. Biggest downside has been the organised entertainment. Below par and have had more banter / fun with the bar staff who are really engaging and friendly. TBH but overall a nice family holiday so far, transfer was a bit long due to the high season but overall a solid 4/5 if you’re looking for cleanliness, calmness and a stones through away from restaurants. We have visited Micriacropoli and food was fantastic 👍
