Alua Suites Fuerteventura

It was our first time staying at Alua Suites and it was fantastic! We went with our 15 and 11 year olds and all had a brilliant time. The staff are all friendly and welcoming, the entertainment team are wonderful and there is always something to do (if you want to!). With 6 pools, there are options for most tastes; some have music, some are busier, some are aimed at families etc. The on-site shop isn’t too expensive and every area was clean. We were offered a room upgrade on arrival, so had a Superior Junior Suite, which had a partition between the (huge!) adult bed and the kids’ sofa beds (which were pretty much normal beds and had enough space between them to accommodate our older children comfortably). There was plenty of variety at the buffet each night and the food was always fresh. Good choice of local and international food. The snack bar is a good option for during the day, if you fancy a change of scenery. The hotel is a great base to explore; it’s on the edge of the resort but can walk to the dunes or in to the centre. We walked to the water park (about 20 mins), the music square (about 30 mins) and for drinks on the beach (about 15 mins). We chose to walk everywhere but heard that taxis are really cheap! We would definitely recommend Alua Suites and Corralejo 😊

Lovely place and junior suite was very nice. Only downside, sockets in inconvenient places and cleaner wasn’t very thorough. Pools were lovely and clean, drinks good apart from pre made cocktails. If you wanted a decent one, you had to pay. Food varied and good. Coffee and tea not so good. Even took my own teabags but still tasted bad. Worse thing was the entertainment in the evening. Same singer over 3 nights and hall was like a canteen, very hard to get a seat and big queues at the bar. Overall, lovely place to stay.

Lovely hotel with friendly staff and great location, food could be better and more variety. Rooms are clean and spacious. Overall enjoyed our stay .

Most staff were generally okay but no real enthusiasm and seemed like they didn’t want to be there. Sophia who works in the restaurant was extremely rude. My 2 year old daughter had dropped food on the floor (which I cleaned up after every visit) she called me a F****** idiot and a C*** and got into an argument with my girlfriend in the middle of the Restaurant. Visited Alua in 2024 and our experience was really good but there now seems to be a lot of cost cutting measures by the management and the staff are miserable (except for cleaners, who were very pleasant and did an amazing job) would not stay again!
