We had a fantastic time at the hotel. The location is slightly remote but the beach is within walking distance and it's worth the walk. The hotel is lovely and relaxed. The food and drink on offer was great. I read a lot of reviews before coming here and wasn't sure what to expect. I didn't need to worry as everything was as we wanted our family holiday to be. Rooms were cleaned daily, everyone is really friendly. It's perfect for a family to enjoy. The pools are perfect for small children with the kids pool and even the big pool they were able to use. We would definitely recommend a visit. I would ignore the negative reviews, this was not experienced on our trip at all.

We have just spent a lovely 11 nights at Hotel Drago Park, last week in August, first week in September. We are a family of 4 (kids aged 3 and 6) we arrived quite late (11pm), a quick and easy check in. AI is open til midnight so we were able to drop off our cases and grab a quick drink before bed and starting our holiday. Rooms are spacious and clean with a large balcony. We had 2 large single beds pushed together as a double and a double sofa bed . The bed was comfortable, the sofa bed wasnt the comfiest but the kids slept well on it. The bathroom is a decent size, with a powerful shower, hairdryer and toiletries provided. Just be aware that if the shower is at an angle it can leak out onto the floor making it slippy. The pool is large in the shape of a 'fidget spinner' with the circles being shallower (90cm) and middle deeper 130cm, perfect for swimming but also knowing the kids can stand up too. There is a separate paddling pool at 30cm. Inflatables are allowed in both pools and a life guard is present throughout the day. We had no problem getting a sunbed. The entertainment team are fantastic, so happy, friendly and energetic. They will ask you to join in with activities but wont push you if you dont want to. My daughter and I loved the aqua dance/gym and pool noodle relaxation whilst my husband enjoyed the darts, ping pong and shuffle board. There is a mini disco 6 nights out of 7 and this is also fantastic. They play a range of songs from different nationalities so all children feel included. The girls don't just lead the dances but really interact with the kids. We were lucky that the pool party was still happening on the first week of our trip, a foam party at night on the pool. What an experience for the kids. I think it was their highlight. Unfortunately it didnt happen on our second week as it was classed as out of season. The all inclusive drinks were lovely, proper branded soft drinks, the beer was san Miguel. You could help yourself to beer, soft drinks, hot drinks, water, wine and fruit juices but had to queue at the bar for slushes, cocktails and other drinks. The slushes were delicious and they never ran out. The hot chocolate was really nice, the coffee was an acquired taste but the cappuccino was drinkable. Food wise, there wasn't as much as at some all inclusive but I found this better as didnt over face myself. There was always a chicken, pork, beef or fish dish, plain pasta/spaghetti (great idea as if you wanted sauce you could add it or if you are like me who doesnt like sauces could have it plain). The seasoned potato wedges were delicious. There were chips, burgers, hotdogs, pizzas and occasionally chciken nuggets for the kids with a massive ketchup pump that my two loved. Dessert was lovely - cakes, icecream, mousse. Breakfast was your typical ai breakfast - fry up, pastries, fruit, yogurt... top - the fruit juices from inside the restaurant were stronger than the outside machine. The restaurant was never overly busy, We sat outside rather than in so was quieter. All in all a fantastic holiday. Missing it already We'd definitely return .

Unfortunately, this hotel is not a 4-star place — maybe by local standards, but definitely not by mine. It badly needs refurbishment, and the elevators look like they’re from the mid-90s. We arrived after midnight, around 00:45, and asked for some drinks. Unfortunately, everything had to be paid for, and there was barely any food left. Not even water was available with the late evening meal! I understand charging for alcoholic drinks, but soft drinks or water? This really put me off. The next morning, coffee was another surprise. It’s advertised as all-inclusive, but coffee is only available from an automatic machine. If you want proper coffee, you have to pay extra. Other drinks are also available for an additional charge. I’m not really interested in paying extra for mid-range whisky such as Jack Daniel’s. The cleaner did an OK job, although on two occasions the glasses weren’t cleaned and the bins weren’t emptied, so I had to call reception. The same happened with the body wash and conditioner — I had to contact reception twice. Overall, the hotel is quite noisy. Every movement of a chair or bed in the neighbouring room can wake you up in the evening. The doors also need better seals, as the wind makes quite an annoying noise. Cocktails are very sweet and taste different from bar to bar. The pool bar bartender deserves a big shout-out, though — he served us perfectly every time. Also, the big fella from the entertainment/party area deserves a mention. We spent nearly two weeks here, and without exploring the island and having access to a car, this holiday would not have been enjoyable. The food is quite repetitive, with not a huge choice. However, the soups, stews, desserts and fish were lovely. You could say the food is prepared more for locals, which I actually appreciated. The entertainment was quite good. I believe the staff do what the budget allows them to do. We had one pool party that was fantastic; the rest of the evening entertainment was OK, but nothing spectacular. Overall, I don’t think I can recommend this hotel, and I definitely wouldn’t come back.
