Hotel Riu Palace Jandia

We have somehow become 70 year olds. We have been staying at this hotel quite regularly over the past 12 years or so. In that time it has stayed civilised, spotlessly clean and has superb food, with an epic breakfast and evening buffet. Since it was refurbished a few years ago it has become really top class. We particularly enjoy the pool area which is well designed with clever sunshades and tropical planting. The pool is saltwater (which improves my swimming!) at a temperature of 28deg, the same as the sea and a perfect temperature to just walk in and cool down. There are always sun beds available. There is stage entertainment every evening at least in the summer. We always pay for a sea view - the rooms and balcony feel like one is staying on a cruise ship. The bathrooms are well sized with very large shower enclosures. There are views of the beautiful beach which extends for miles. The town of Morro Jable is a 10 minute walk away along a traffic free promenade adjacent to the beach.

Excellent hotel and the service from the staff was excellent. The family had a great time enjoying the sun!

Our third visit to this hotel, we love it! The staff are so friendly and accommodating, it is immaculately clean, the food is good and the setting overlooking the beach is perfect! We will be back and thank you for looking after us.

We had a very enjoyable week at Riu Palace Jandia in July 2026. The hotel offered what we had been looking for - delicioua cousine, no hustle or towel wars at the swimming pool and friendly, hospitable staff. It was a first week of three we have spent on the island, and the 2nd hotel we went was not even close to the quality bar the RIU Palace had raised.

Could not fault this hotel. Yes the majority of clients are German, but we find the best hotels in the Canary Islands usually are & we have no problem with this, as they are sociable & most speak impeccable English (which puts us Brits to shame!). Reading some reviews that say the hotel prioritised & caters only for the Germans is pure rubbish.. .Everyone is treated in the same courteous, friendly manner & the service everywhere in the hotel is excellent. We were well looked after by all staff..but a special thank you to Delores & Ben in the restaurant, for their warmth & service… & Eli who was always cheerful & smiling. The food served in the restaurants & snack bar is very good & beautifully fresh, with a really nice selection at breakfast & dinner, so there’s always something delicious to eat. From reception to housekeeping, this hotel deserves its 5* rating.
