Arona Gran & Spa

First time at this hotel , let's start with the good bits . As you walk in the hotel is absolutely beautiful. We also was on ground floor , which is another positive. The room was good . The breakfast was great with everything you needed . Am not really a breakfast person ( hubby is ) . The pools are fantastic, sun beds are comfy. The aqua aerobics was good , the entertainment staff are very nice . The waiters and waitress work extremely hard . Now for the negatives, the cleaner I found was pretty lazy cleaning room. Couple of times I tidied myself , woke up at 7 and there was already towels on sunbeds . Which to me was pretty sad and I did laugh. To think you want that sunbed so bad you get up early to do it. There is plenty of sunbeds . What I did like is one of the lifeguards/ towels person . He would go round and take towels off beds if they Wasn't occupied . Which left people with a sour taste in mouth . I thought was great what he did. Ok I understand if you have a disability I feel you should have first call on this . Now the evening food , gala night is great I have to say . After 2 weeks of being here the food got bit much , very similar each evening . Couple nights I never hardly eat , the desserts was amazing. Now the entertainment oh my , I just found alot of singers , sang the same songs . If I hear one night long , think I scream. Was so similar all the time . I did really like the guy on guitar. He was like a warm up act before main act . It's the same every night , why not have a comedian , something different . There was all different ages here . Would I come back , if price was right and only for a week . Could not do 2 weeks . I do think they should look at better entertainer's, and maybe do theme dinner nights . Also can I say the paella, and other food . How much salt ???

We had a good experience at Arona Gran hotel. We stayed at this hotel for 10 nights which we felt was the right amount of time. We went half board. The food was impressive for a buffet-style restaurant and also featured a gala night on Wednesday which was a nice surprise. On the whole staff were very friendly. The nights we stayed in the hotel to watch the entertainment were good. The queen tribute was great! Service when waiting to get drinks was quite slow and was a struggle to get a drink after having one. The poolside entertainment was engaging and there was always some activities to take part in. We were really impressed with the room on the 6th floor. The views were incredible and the beds were comfy and clean. The noise level was okay but as someone who lays in you can hear the maids in the morning. The floor was a bit cracked and our bathroom door didn't shut properly however all else was good. The decor of the hotel was amazing to look at and it felt like you were in 5 star hotel when in the reception area. The hotel is a 15 minute walk to the main town. We would recommend this hotel to others.

We have just spent 2 weeks at the Arona Gran and couldn’t speak highly enough about the entertainment team. Gloria, Virginia and Miguel had great personalities, were very knowledgeable and excellent at delivering the activities and classes throughout the day. These classes and activities made our holiday much more enjoyable. The classes/activities were very inclusive no matter your ability or age and delivered in several languages. The activities were very varied and lots of fun and the competitive activities even had rewards such as free cocktails!! We particularly enjoyed the pool party on the Friday afternoon. There was also various entertainment each evening until 11:15pm. The staff were mostly very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and the air conditioning was the best we have experienced. The lady who cleaned our room (403 and 404) was lovely and excellent at her job. However, the rooms look dated compared to other hotels of this standard that we have stayed in. The floor was damaged in both of our rooms. The food was excellent with lots of choice and as we were half board we also got to enjoy the gala night on the Wednesday evening. The restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a luggage room and there are shower facilities available if your transfer is later in the day after you have checked out. There is a shop directly across the road and a pharmacy next to the hotel which was very useful. We certainly hope to return to Arona Gran in the future.

We have stayed at this hotel several times Feb & Sept the staff but came I August different vibe the staff are exceptional We book the UP as service from Anthony Stephanie & Beatrice and Sophie exceptional ! We have stayed at most of the cannery islands and the hotels but the Arona Gran is the best on the island . The food especially the deserts look like a work of art ! I must mention the staff in restaurant Esperanza she is so welcoming and special mention to Sophie ( Up) thank you for making our stay so enjoyable and taking care of my sister who required a wheelchair and you sorted it ! 🙏 we hope to see you again in March

I am staying at the Arona Gran for a third time and are currently still here. I have given 3 stars due to the following: The rooms need a bit of an update and I have a floor board up in my room that if you caught it you would have an injury. The food at dinner apart from the cooking stations is only warm which may put a few people off. There are a lot of pigeons at night flying around the outside bar seating area and landing on tables and chairs doing their business (the staff are constantly cleaning up the best they can). The sound system in the evening for entertainment is not working properly (I thought the team would have fixed this after 4 days of issues). Some of the issues above have been raised before on reviews but it seems the reply’s from the Arona Gran are just lip service and no action came. Come on Arona Gran you can do better. I am out again in 4 weeks time but unsure if I will stop at this hotel again.
