Cleopatra Palace

I had a fantastic stay at the Cleopatra Hotel. The location is a real highlight — it’s right on the seafront, so beach access is literally just a few steps away. The breakfast was excellent, with a very good selection of food and drinks to choose from. One thing I really appreciated was that there are no sun‑bed wars. There’s no need for an early‑morning dash to reserve a spot - sun beds are easy to get throughout the day, which makes relaxing by the pool much more enjoyable. There isn’t much available for children, and ball games or inflatables aren’t allowed in the pool, so families might find the activities a bit limited. The rooms are small and a little dated, and there aren’t many plug sockets, so bringing an extension lead is definitely recommended. What truly makes this hotel stand out is the staff. They are amazing — friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. Despite a few minor drawbacks, I would definitely return. The atmosphere, service, and beachfront location make it a great place to stay.

You can absolutely tell that back in its day this hotel has been stunning, but now it’s dated and in need of an upgrade. Let me start by saying all staff were lovely and on arrival we were escorted to our room and concierge explained, lifts, floors, key cards and towel cars, and how to work the safe, this was all very helpful. On check out access to the spa showers for those with late flights. Was quite disappointed with our room , stained wall in bathroom, plug surround falling off and others loose around the room, and tiles on floor chipped, the furniture is old but does the job, bed was comfy and roomed cleaned daily. We were facing out to the path, side of the hotel, So noise from bars and restaurants until late evening which is to be expected as in main area of bars and restaurants, Pool area is nice and was quite peaceful, but again some of the sun-beds and pool towels have seen better days, pool was fine but jacuzzi had one spout that actually worked, A lot of hotels these days have water and ice stations to access for free but once breakfast area was closed you could not fill up water bottle unless you returned to your room to get water from mimi bar. I wasn’t that impressed with breakfast either , this is a 4 star hotel after staying at the Bougainville last year the comparison of choice and produce was worlds apart, someone playing piano in the morning does not constitute a good breakfast. Our stay was fine but would be unlikely to return as it not value for the cost in my opinion.

So fancy, like in a movie. Lovely staff. Clean and nice buffet brekfast.

Huge hotel resort in the heart of las americas. Its striking and improving design makes it stand out from the neighbouring hotels, the theme runs throughout the building and grounds. The rooms range from basic to suites but you will enjoy the same facilities no matter the room you chose. On this occasion I opted for a top floor double, with balcony plunge pool. This is ideal if you’re wanting a more private holiday and will make the most of sunbathing on the terrace during the daytime and drinking / enjoying the views on the evening. I booked just a few weeks in advance which proved excellent value for money. There are plenty of staff around the hotel who can help with any questions or requests, all seemed very response and smiley. The hotel was thoroughly clean throughout - I can’t fault it. When in the room I couldn't hear any noice from outside. When on the balcony, there was some noice from neighbouring venues, but very much background noice, with no noice after 11pm. Breakfast was very good quality and with a wide ranging spread and plenty of tables I could always get a sunbed without having to reserve one - lots of areas free.
