TRH Taoro Garden

It was a short trip to recharge the batteries and the hotel was spot on. Good food, gym facilities and pool area in a great area.

We recently returned from a holiday at TRH Taoro Garden, and unfortunately, we regret booking it. While the hotel has a lovely pool area and nice gardens, that is truly where the positives end. It is lacking the quality and service you expect from a genuine 4-star resort.The room itself was very disappointing. It felt small and shabby, with two single beds simply pushed together instead of a proper double layout. The beds are on wheels and with a fake laminate Lino floor they move around. The air conditioning was practically useless, we couldn't get the room cool, and we have since heard a rumour that the hotel centrally restricts the system from dropping below 22 degrees. The fridge provided is tiny, it can only hold a few small items and ours for some reason continually leaked water all over the floor. We don’t go on holiday to watch TV but only one English Channel (BBC News) out of approx 50 seemed insufficient, especially considering the number of German channels available. While the hotel grounds are relaxing, the overall vibe is incredibly dull, uninspiring, and isolating. There is absolutely no atmosphere in or around the property. The evening entertainment was dreadful and felt very dated. I actually found it comical. We were also highly disappointed by the hotel shuttle bus. It isn't a dedicated hotel service like they imply; it is a shared coach that stops at multiple hotels. It only runs a few times a day, seats are not guaranteed, and the last bus back from the town center leaves at 6:00 PM weekdays and 1:00 PM on a Saturday . If you miss it or it's full, you are stranded at the bottom of the hill. There is no shuttle bus on a Sunday. We also experienced not being able to get on the bus from the hotel as not enough free seats were available. The only option is to wait for the next bus, a taxi at your own cost or walk. It’s technically possible to walk up to the hotel but I would not recommend it, it’s incredibly steep Between the sterile atmosphere, the run-down rooms, and a series of frustrating customer service errors at checkout, we will definitely not be returning. If you are looking for a vibrant, quality 4-star experience in Tenerife, look elsewhere.

Lovely hotel. Fabulous staff and all the food was delicious except breakfast was a bit lacking. No bacon cooked. Had to queue for that along with people queuing for omelettes and eggs. No mushrooms. Courgettes instead. Christian, Douglas and Isabelle were amazing staff. Sadly Eugenio was rude and unhelpful. The evening entertainment was a bit too low key and no tribute acts as advertised. If you want something a bit lively then this is not the hotel for you. If you just want quiet and delicious food then would recommend.

Staff were amazing , hotel and gardens were great , if its piece and quiet you want with no stress and not wanting bars and karaoke this is the place for you. It is a walk to the town but its 20min and steep so be warned . Doesn't detract from this hotel being excellent , food and drinks a plenty and all adults. Lots of space around the pool , Jessica in the pool bar was amazing

Location is lovely, hotel is very chilled and quiet. Average age probs 35-65 and there is little to do in the day so bring a book! Or your walking shoes! Lovely walks just very hilly! Nice 25 mins walk down hill to the town but steep on way back! Food is average and will do but likely to come again id do breakfast only and leave the hotel More as the lunch is very sparse and evening entertainment is awful - just a man playing keyboard inside and it’s hot with no aircon insside The staff are amazing, Erica the animation team is amazing. The air con is set to 21.8 for the whole hotel so doesn’t feel cold or feel like working - if you ask the hotel they will give you a fan Sadly the north is very cloudy so weather was bad but we didn’t leave the hotel as we were all inclusive and spent a lot - wish we hadn’t done this and left more But overall amazing quiet chilled hotel and relaxing holiday
