St. Gregory Park

We have just arrived home after a week stay. We booked an easy jet package holiday. The hotel definitely exceeded our expectations especially a room upgrade from a small double to a triple (not asked for). This gave us extra room for suitcases and a large balcony. Room - there is a kettle and a mini fridge. Take your own mugs if you don’t want to use paper cups. The cleaner was great, every day we had a change of bedding and plenty of towels. There is a safe in the wardrobe. It was a pity there wasn’t any English TV channels like BBC world news but we didn’t stay in the room a great deal. Good air conditioning. Comfortable bed and quiet at night, we slept well. There is a water fountain on each floor, still, cold and sparkling. A large glass water jug is in the room to use. Swimming pool - plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas when we were there. A separate jacuzzi. No small pool for younger children. Breakfast - was very good, staff were helpful and will make fresh cappuccinos rather than out of the machines if you ask. Massage chairs - 2 massage chairs in the lobby were lovely to use, free of charge. Area - it is in the quieter end of the main drag of Rimini, it is a 25 minute walk to the old town. 20 minute walk to the bus and train stations. There is a little passenger boat that goes across the inlet over to the main promenade, 1.5 euro each one way cash only. It does stop for the winter from this Sunday - 13th September. Lots of restaurants. We really liked Prua (see separate review) Blue restaurant was ok and Laura as well. A small public beach 5 minutes walk away plus separate pay for beach areas. A nice walk along the seashore to the next inlet takes about 25 minutes. Supermarket over the road which had everything we needed. We did 2 day trips - bus to San Marino. Book online, had to select time of travel. Very busy coming back and we couldn’t get on an early bus. Absolutely stunning views. And a train trip to Ravenna - there was an early train about 9am but then no direct train until 12.40 but plenty coming back later in the day. Amazing mosaics in 4 sights - we brought the 4 monument ticket from the ticket office there, 2 sights were timed entry (as they are in a small building) but the ticket person just booked the time slots for us. Both trips took about an hour to get there. So for us the hotel was in an excellent position and helpful staff. Gave us everything we needed. We would recommend it if you are looking for a relaxing but also a sightseeing holiday. Just perfect.

The room was small (which we had booked) but neat and well kept. Hotel facilities were good, the pool was good. The location is excellent, half an hour walk to town and train station, 2 minutes to the beach and plenty of places to eat nearby. Staff were very friendly and there was always a nice atmosphere. Overall excellent value Breakfast spread was great although the coffee machines were a little temperamental.

This hotel is fantastic. Excellent location for anyone going to Rimini. Restaurants right across the street or a ramble up the road. A 20 minute ramble into the old town for loads more amazing restaurants. The Marina is right across the street from you which is lovely to walk around in the evening. The Beach is directly across the street too or you have the pool to chill out at. Great spot for kids with the pool or playground on site. Wheelchair accessible. Staff excellent. Amazing place.

Lovely hotel, staff extremely helpful and friendly especially the young blonde lady on reception. Close to beach and restaurants but still very relaxing and peaceful. Couldn't recommend enough, so good we are going back again in September.
