Couples Negril

My wife and I have been repeat guest of Couples Negril for over a decade. We have also had the pleasure of being a guest at Couples Tower Isle in Ocho Rios. Of their four locations, two in Negril and two in Ocho Rios, Couples Negril is the smallest and this is the very reason that it is our favorite. You can't go wrong with any of the four Couples resorts, it simply comes down to which fits you best. All four locations offer amenities that are typically a separate offering at other resorts. The cost to stay at a Couples locations is a bit more than other resorts but it is so worth any extra cost. Water sports such as snorkling and scuba diving are included in the cost of your stay. Catamaran and glass bottom boat excursions are included in your stay, and there are other water activities such as paddle boats that are included as well. Tipping staff at the four locations is not allowed. Documenting your experience via the provided survey at the end of your stay is how Couples rewards their staff. Couples does not formally promote their resorts. No advertising, strictly word of mouth and reviews. If you are a frequent traveler, you most likely have your favorites regarding vacation resorts. For my wife and I, Couples Negri is number 1 and we don't see any other resort moving them out of that position anytime soon.

We had a great time! The Jamaican people were the highlight of the trip! The food was amazing, we had a great time snorkeling, and as everyone says, the catamaran ride is a must. Our room was always clean and the whole vibe was very relaxed. We did the trading places where we got to go to Couples Swept Away, loved that day too! I would advise maybe going to the orientation though because there were a few things I didn’t know (but didn’t ask anyone) until the end of our trip that I wished I had but we skipped the orientation, whoops! We read some online complaints before our trip about bay traffic but we saw no traffic other than the water sports boats for our resort…..we read some other complaints about it being run down that almost had me choosing a different spot…in our opinion, there was nothing run down here. Is it the newest/modern place, no, but it was all functional, all clean, and all beautiful chill island vibes. No complaints here, we will for sure visit Jamaica again!

This was our eighth trip in nine years. (Covid prevented 2020). We keep returning because you can’t beat perfection. The beach is perfect. No rocks or seaweed. The food is delicious! The staff are friendly and helpful.

This really is a great place, this was our second year in a row coming, friendly people amazing beach and water. Food was good. Weather was perfect, rooms were clean and comfortable. There is no negatives in my opinion.
