Couples Negril

Couples Negril, let me count the ways that I LOVE THEE!! My husband decided for our anniversary to try a Couples all-inclusive and as always, I am proud of him for his selection. The food was second to NONE, the staff was EXCELLENT and I must call out the names of some of the folks that ensured we were taken care of, BIG NORTH CAROLINA LOVE to Lincoln, Shanae, Kevaughn, Dishane, KeKe, Iyesha, Domaine and Jahvon, I do not recall wonderful ladies that provided housekeeping HOWEVER, they were excellent as well!! If you're considering Couples Negril, stop the mental gymnastics and book your room and flight TODAY!! Thank You to the ENTIRE STAFF OF COUPLES, NEGRIL!! YOU ARE APPRECIATED!!

We were looking for an amazing destination to obtain our PADI Open Water diver certification, this resort was PERFECT! We were in building 1, room 1203 which is classified as a beach front suite which provided gorgeous beach views. It was close to everything so when you needed something, it was just a second to run back to the room. The food was amazing, the sunsets were spectacular, the water was crystal clear and smooth as glass which was perfect for water skiing. This quickly became our favorite resort in the Caribbean! The only remotely negative thing I can come up with is the tv didn't have a timer... we couldn't get to sleep our last evening and thought we'd turn on the tv and set the timer for for a set duration, but ther was no timer setting to be found.

First, let me begin by saying that this was not our first time at Couples Negril. This was actually our 3rd time. While all of our old "favs" had moved on, we had the opportunity to meet some wonderful staff. First, I must give kudos to the SWIM UP BAR STAFF: (Please excuse if I butcher their names.) Shonda, Adreese, Movada and Orielle. These are some wonderful human beings! We looked forward to seeing their bright smiles and experiencing their exemplary customer service every day. They never missed an opportunity to come up to us and greet us and converse. As a matter of fact, the entire staff, from the front desk to the dining staff to the entertainment staff, to the housekeeping staff, went above and beyond to ensure that we had a great experience. Our room was refreshed daily without fail. We enjoyed every meal that was provided to us. Honestly, Couples Negril owes us nothing. We had the time of our lives. We shall RETURN!!

Having stayed at Couples swept away before we were excited to try couples negril this time but oh my what a difference we found. Firstly if you are not Jamaican you were pretty much ignored, No one came to ask if we wanted coffee or water at breakfast or lunch,no one offered us a drink during the very limited entertainment in the evening. Lots of staff, 3 tables watching the reggae band, but no one at any point came to our table and offered drinks but were happy to dance together behind us. When we asked for drinks we got eye rolls. Nothing really to do after dinner, no customer service and the red flag on the beach to alert a sever that you would like a drink is a joke as no one came to the beach at all to take orders . Coupled with this our rep did not turn up so staff had to call and promised to be back the next day and did not come or contact us. We asked to move to Couples swept Away and the rep and manager was going to inform us if this was doable but we had to chase them again. Finally we had the go ahead to move but at no point did anyone from the hotel ask why we wanted to move it check if they could do anything to help. We know Jamaica is laid back but to be ignored if you are not Jamaican is not ok. Transfer was 5 minutes down the road and we had a whole different experience from the moment we stepped into the hotel with excellent customer service throughout, fabulous food and made to feel welcome and special, they could not do enough for us and every other guest. The entertainment was so good and everyone worked hard and was super friendly, you would never know this is the same chain. If you are trying to decide which hotel to go to bypass Couples Negril, they simply cannot be bothered and go straight to Couples Swept Away where they know your name and what your drink preferences are within the first 24 hours and will willingly chat and laugh with you wherever it is in the beach, around the resort or in one of their restaurants. You will definitely feel the love and attention in Swept Away, top marks to you from the management downwards, no complaints at all.

Desprecian 100 millones de turistas al año, solo de América latina, Parece que no entienden lo que el latino y español viajan al caribe, para mi es primera y última vez Couples Negril The buffet food was very poor. Breakfast included only one cold cut, almost no cheese, and very little fruit—very meager and not in line with the price. The room was cleaned between 5 and 6 pm. Even the TV had its settings and translation functions disabled. Coffee was only available in one cafeteria; none of the restaurants offered it. At the buffet in the evening, it was impossible to eat due to the loud live bands; it was unpleasant and impossible to have a conversation Of the many 5-star hotels we visited, this one had the worst cuisine. The beaches were the only good thing, but it wasn't enough. Never again. There was a total lack of respect for Spanish speakers. Nobody spoke a single word of Spanish, not even in the hotel offices or at the airport. Undoubtedly, if you speak Spanish, this hotel, and even Jamaica, is not for us. You should definitely go to the Dominican Republic; it's a different standard. They disregard 100 million tourists a year, just from Latin America. It seems they don't understand that Latin Americans and Spaniards travel to the Caribbean. For me, this is the first and last time.
