We went to Kenya Bay for my Birthday late june for 2 weeks, when we arrived we were greated and checked in very fast by a lady on reception who I didn't get her name but she was very pleasant. Taken to our rooms which was not up to our standard it was overlooking a building site, workers digging out a new pool. Which when it's finished should be really nice. We then went to the beach side of the hotel to get bombarded by the beach boys who just won't take no for an answer until you get a bit sharp with them. Throuout the holiday it's impossible to go on the beach without getting a lot of hassle That afternoon we upgraded to all inclusive and asked to be moved which we did the next day to a superior room which was OK, but the shower was not good with water pressure. We was on the ground floor in the gardens which was lovely we had regular visits from the monkeys who entertained us every evening. We booked a two day Safari with Tui which was Amazing to the salt lick lodge. It was everything and more. The dive school guys were great my daughter and friend did a dive and we went snorkeling would recomend this. I did book a hotel in diani beach for a night too. Back to the hotel. The main pool wasn't in great condition but Patrick the pool boy kept it clean and was always there in a morning with a big smile and towels for your bed. Antony kept us all hydrated at the all inclusive bar He worked very hard and is a credit to the hotel. All the girls in the dining area was very friendly and always had time for a chat. All the staff work very hard abd are a credit to the hotel. This is a small and friendly hotel. We made the most of the entertainment something every night. Thank you.
Amazing 👏 🤩 rooms very clean friendly staff Very good bar options
Excellent Stay! I had a wonderful 6-day stay and truly enjoyed every moment. The food was amazing, the rooms were spacious, beautifully furnished, and very comfortable. The restaurant and buffet had a lovely ambience, making every meal enjoyable. The sea-facing sunbeds were perfectly positioned . Overall, an excellent experience—I would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to coming back!
We spent a few nights at Kenya Bay with our family and it was genuinely one of the best coastal stays we’ve had in Kenya. The rooms are exceptionally well appointed — you can tell serious thought and planning went into every detail. The beach is beautiful, the pool is great, and the food quality was impressive throughout. What stood out most was the service — consistently warm, attentive, and professional from every member of the team. Harbinder was a gracious host and made our stay very special.
We booked this hotel through TUI. I think TUI should not be sending anyone to a hotel they are aware has a number of significant issues. So much so I know we were not the only people who Tuo agreed to move to a different hotel over recent weeks. After 3 days of battling with hotel management and the TUI rep it was agreed we could move to a different hotel but by then we had lost three days of our holiday that could have been avoided by TUI not sending anyone to a hotel that wasn't what was advertised.. To be fair the TUI rep he agreed that the hotel safety and facilities were not of an appropriate standard and not what was advertised in their brochure. Due to this a previous guests having to be moved I fail to understand why TUI continue to use the hotel. The pool was very unsafe with at least 33% of the tiles missing making it extremely sharp underfoot and not safe to use. They had tried to cover some larger areas where tiles were missing with black mats but this resulted in cleanliness issues. As someone who has diabetes, being told the chef is too busy to cook anything after waiting 45 minutes after ordering and there being nowhere else in the hotel serving food at that time put me at danger. Luckily I had some nuts in the bedroom and drank some original cola to bring my sugar levels up. The food when it was available in the buffet restaurant was adequate but often not punished. One evening my granddaughter went to get some pudding at 8.30pm, considering the restaurant was supposed to serve dinner until 9.30pm to be told all the puddings were finished. The line waiting for drinks at the one bar A/I guest can use often resulted in anything between a 25-40 minute wait to be served. Another day they had no limes, lemons, mint, orange pineapple, or mango juice so it was spirit and coke as the only option. We were only there 3 days. l'm Sorry l have nothing positive to say about this hotel but I am more disgusted that TUI continues to send guests there when they know of these types of issues.
