Papillon Lagoon Reef

Good location and staff were fantastic. Seamless check in process with the nicest staff and even allowed us to check in early as we arrived earlier than expected. The resort has alot to work on in terms of modernizing or atleast maintaining the rooms. Bathroom was terrible, very old and not well set up. Cocktails weren't great and food variety at buffets were limited. This hotel could be outstanding if changes are made, they already have the most wonderful staff and they are the true highlight staying here

We stayed here for four nights as a family. Overall, the service was okay, although meals could sometimes take a while and the many trainees would benefit from a little more supervision and training. Our biggest disappointment was our interaction with the Front Office Manager, Mr. Isaiah. We simply asked to see the room allocated to us before making payment, but this resulted in almost 30 minutes of back-and-forth, with company policy being repeatedly cited. We understand and respect policies, but we also believe there should be room for empathy, flexibility and good customer service. The rest of our stay was fine, but unfortunately this interaction left a lasting negative impression. We share this feedback constructively, as we believe a more customer-focused approach would make the experience much better.

What an amazing place! The staff, food, entertainment, room and pool were all top notch. Just be mindful of going on to the beach as you do get overcrowded with beach boys just be polite and move on and the monkeys do like to be a bit cheeky!

Honestly, our stay at Papillon Lagoon Reef was one of the best we have ever had. The food is incredible! It was always fresh and delicious. The staff in the hotel were very welcoming and friendly. The entertainment was especialy very good. There was always an exciting activity to do from water polo to beach volleyball it was an absolute blast! The rooms were quite comfortable and very clean. The hotel is also located on a sublime part of the beachfront providing an exceptional view. The beach was amazing. There were so many activities to do like swimming,waveriding, camel riding, jetskiing, snorkelling and even kitesurfing. Our stay at Papillon Laggon Reef has to have been one of if not the best hotel experiences we have had.

This hotel for us just wasn’t our cup of tea! It’s big. Our superior double was very dark with huge trees in front so very oppressive and just couldn’t sit on balcony rooms 226/7 other times didn’t have the trees. Rooms were quiet though. It’s not quite the all inclusive that we are used to not everything is all inclusive seems only cocktails at night and only choice of a few. Others you have to pay for and were not very good. Food was quite samey every night however the beef wellington one night was fab. We chose to eat elsewhere on other nights! We were happy to do that just for a change and Ubers cheap do doable! Most of the Staff were lovely.
