Papillon Lagoon Reef

We loved our stay being a second time there. Their delicacies keep you wanting for more..the waiters do an amazing job whether at the restaurant or bar, kudos! The chefs are clearly outdoing themselves Security team and the support staff too are professional. I loved how they kept our evenings engaged in lots of entertainment, the 6 member boyz. Guys at the reception need to improve as the face of the hotel. They're kinda unmotivated, sound disengaged. The Family room... out of the 4 beds, 2 beds are really BAD and especially for that price. Improve on that

I loved my stay here at Papillion. Great location with beautiful scenery. Animation team are lovely and not too pushy. Thoya in particular was amazing, very friendly and approachable. The food here is so good and staff could not be friendlier. I hope I get to return

Our stay at Papillon Lagoon Reef Hotel was an absolute disaster—easily the worst experience we’ve had in Kenya. We booked a family room and walked into a complete mess. The air conditioning didn’t work at all, making the room unbearably hot. The bathroom was filthy and stinking, and the flush barely worked. Basic hygiene and comfort were completely missing. To make things worse, there was a baby crying nonstop the entire night in a nearby room. We reported it, and the staff did absolutely nothing. No concern, no action—just total indifference. Customer service was equally terrible. The receptionist was dismissive, unhelpful, and showed zero interest in resolving anything. We even asked to speak to the manager and were told to wait. We were kept waiting the entire day—from 10am onwards—with no proper response or accountability. Completely unacceptable and highly unprofessional. This hotel is completely misleading. What they advertise is nothing like the reality. It honestly feels like a rip-off. Save yourself the frustration—do not waste your money here. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.
