Summer Island Maldives

What an amazing island just like paradise. We stayed the first two weeks in September we stayed in 377 beach bungalow absolutely beautiful right on the beach about 20 steps to the waters edge, the water was crystal clear and so warm. Our bungalow was a good size with a fantastic bathroom partially outside,it was wonderful to go from the cool aircon to the heat of the bathroom. The staff on the island are wonderful every single one of them you are always greeted with a smile and they can’t do enough for you they are a credit to the island. The buffet restaurant is lovely you walk on sand which is great,the food was amazing so much choice everything was well cooked and the taste superb there is show cook morning lunch and evening meals everything is so fresh. The bar area is excellent inside and out right on the beach, beautiful sunsets,and in the evening live entertainment which is a bonus great singers. To walk round the island is a dream it truly looks like paradise. The snorkelling is fantastic so much to see if you swim through the rocks to the other side of the bay the there are amazing so many colourful fish and reef sharks it is mind blowing we just loved it morning and afternoon we snorkelled. Thank you Summer island for a fantastic holiday.

DONT STAY AT THIS RESORT. The speedboat pickup left me waiting at the airport for 4 hours and picked me up 6 hours before my flight. Total 10 hours of my trip was at the airport. I booked all inclusive and its not "all inclusive" as what is included is below par everything else is a charge, its half board at best. The manager HUSSAIN HANEEF is extremely rude. The hot water for a shower never worked.And last but not least you tip the staff on every bill but they do not recieve any tip unless you hand them the money.

We had an amazing 5-day honeymoon at Summer Island Maldives. The service was excellent, and we would definitely recommend the resort to our friends and people in Egypt planning to visit the Maldives. Special thanks to Dawae at Samuga Restaurant for her amazing service and kindness. ❤️ Unfortunately, the only thing that really disappointed us was being charged $200 for life jackets for just 10 minutes. Since my wife and I cannot swim, we only needed them for safety, and we believe life jackets should be provided free of charge as basic safety equipment. This experience was very disappointing and affected our overall impression of the resort. Also, the Wi-Fi in the room could be much better. Overall, a beautiful resort with excellent service, but we really hope they reconsider the life jacket policy.

It was our second time coming to Summer Island, the first time was amazing, in 2023. This year I have to say I was shocked with the amount of plastic found on the island, everyday we went around picking up full bags of plastic from the beach. Unfortunately we cannot do much with the amount of plastic we consume, but my concern is that I don’t understand why locals don’t try to keep it clean? A lot of plastic comes to the island from the ocean, but most of it comes from their imports. Something else we’ve noticed is that this year the sea had weird patches of foam, which could still be related to pollution but we are not sure. Everything else was good, we are just shocked regarding this drastic change The photo uploaded is just a little bit of plastic that we found in the 6 days we were here

This is our 4th time visiting summer island. Rooms were nice and clean and food was great. Also kudos to the Launch crew who were always smiling and helpful. But unlike our previous trips this time our welcome was not as welcoming as our previous trips , no wet towel and the drinks came late. We encountered a very annoying bangladeshi waiter during breakfast on our last day who realising we were local decided to talk to us in butchered dhivehi spoken by most bangladeshi expats. There is a fine line between trying to be helpful and down right annoying. Also need to have more safety personnel around the water sports area and around the right side of the water villas
