Summer Island Maldives

We had an amazing 5-day honeymoon at Summer Island Maldives. The service was excellent, and we would definitely recommend the resort to our friends and people in Egypt planning to visit the Maldives. Special thanks to Dawae at Samuga Restaurant for her amazing service and kindness. ❤️ Unfortunately, the only thing that really disappointed us was being charged $200 for life jackets for just 10 minutes. Since my wife and I cannot swim, we only needed them for safety, and we believe life jackets should be provided free of charge as basic safety equipment. This experience was very disappointing and affected our overall impression of the resort. Also, the Wi-Fi in the room could be much better. Overall, a beautiful resort with excellent service, but we really hope they reconsider the life jacket policy.

It was our second time coming to Summer Island, the first time was amazing, in 2023. This year I have to say I was shocked with the amount of plastic found on the island, everyday we went around picking up full bags of plastic from the beach. Unfortunately we cannot do much with the amount of plastic we consume, but my concern is that I don’t understand why locals don’t try to keep it clean? A lot of plastic comes to the island from the ocean, but most of it comes from their imports. Something else we’ve noticed is that this year the sea had weird patches of foam, which could still be related to pollution but we are not sure. Everything else was good, we are just shocked regarding this drastic change The photo uploaded is just a little bit of plastic that we found in the 6 days we were here

This is our 4th time visiting summer island. Rooms were nice and clean and food was great. Also kudos to the Launch crew who were always smiling and helpful. But unlike our previous trips this time our welcome was not as welcoming as our previous trips , no wet towel and the drinks came late. We encountered a very annoying bangladeshi waiter during breakfast on our last day who realising we were local decided to talk to us in butchered dhivehi spoken by most bangladeshi expats. There is a fine line between trying to be helpful and down right annoying. Also need to have more safety personnel around the water sports area and around the right side of the water villas

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Summer Island 🏝️ this year. The entire team went above and beyond to make our stay truly unforgettable, hospitality at its very best! Parvez at the bar always had an interesting story and a big smile to share. Tamil made sure our room was spotless every day, and Laxmi took such great care of us during dinner. A special mention goes to Chef Mohit and his amazing team 👨‍🍳❤️. They truly made our stay extra special with delicious, fresh and beautifully prepared food every single day. You could really taste the passion and care they put into every dish. We looked forward to every meal, and Chef Mohit deserves a huge thank you for making our dining experience so memorable! We also had the best treatments at the Spa, where Rani and her wonderful team made sure we could completely relax and leave all our stress behind. 💆‍♀️💆‍♂️ If you’re looking for a place where your worries simply disappear, with warm and genuine hospitality, delicious food, and gorgeous beaches, we can highly recommend Summer Island. 🏝️ It’s the perfect place to slow down, relax and enjoy the ultimate worry- and stress-free island escape. ❤️🌴
