Villa Park Sun Island

We visited Villa park last August and had such an amazing experience we decided to return this August and it was just as lovely as last year. My partner proposed last year so it holds a very special place in our heart and after returning this year, we are even more fond of it after another beautiful experience. All the staff at Villa Park are so helpful, warm and welcoming but there are some particular staff members we would like to thank. I mentioned Alam, in my review last year and this year he was just as hospitable again. He made sure he went above and beyond to make our dining experiences the best and he was so friendly and welcoming. Every meal time he made sure we had everything we needed and on our last night he and the other restaurant staff decorated our table and made our final night special. Alam was a big part of why we had such a positive experience at Villa Park and made both our holidays so memorable. We also spent a lot of time in the golf bar and both Kamrul and Vedant were excellent. They made us a delicious range of drinks and were always welcoming and friendly. We don’t drink alcohol but Villa Park has such an amazing variety of non alcoholic beverages which were all yummy. We also spent time at the coffee bar and all the staff there were also very friendly and helpful. Pandi was especially accommodating and remembered our regular orders and room number. He introduced himself to us the first day and always gave us great service with a smile. Our room was cleaned twice a day to a very high standard by the room attendant Arun. He was also very efficient restocking our mini bar and giving us our preference of soft drinks. He was very friendly and when I locked myself out of the room he promptly helprd me get back in. He was so patient and helpful. My partner spent quite a lot of time diving both years we visited and I always felt safe and at home on the resort when I was by myself. It is such a calm, peaceful and beautiful place to stay. It has amazing fresh food, lovely beaches and plenty of different places to relax. I would highly recommend anyone who is thinking of visiting the Maldives to book Villa Park! Thank you for making both of our visits so enjoyable. Rachael

What an experience, from the time of arrival at the airport to the sea plane to the resort the experience is mind blowing... It was my daughter's 16 th birthday and could not have asked for anything better. The Hospitallity is amazing they upgraded our room to sunset Beach villa with a pool knowing this is our first time and my daughter's birthday, lovely. The view of the beach near the bar is simply breathtaking specially during sunset. Tamarian was our host and they way he treated me i will never forget, what a guy, amazing amazing amazing.

Villa Park offers a good value, relaxing and spacious Maldives holiday experience, particularly for families. I’d consider it 4 star, rather than 5, but more than sufficient with its ‘5 star moments’ (particularly the Spa and Zero restaurant). Travelling from the UK, Emirates flights were excellent and the local transfer was reasonable if a rather long wait at Male airport. Our room was a Deluxe Sunset Beach Villa which was comfortable, clean and quiet. Compliments to the hard working housekeeping team who do a superb job servicing rooms twice a day and also the grounds staff who keep the beaches and gardens looking beautiful. The range of food options and activities is excellent and the excursions are good fun. If you want to take full advantage of the resort consider upgrading to the Infinity Plan, at least for your last 5 days (you can’t do it for 5 days at the start or middle of your holiday). Dining - the à la carte restaurants offer a much better menu and service than the rather average and repetitive buffet. We found the Thai restaurant, Zero and Vani Coffee Shop (really another restaurant) to be some of the best places to eat and the staff at both were excellent, but beware prices are outrageous if not on the Infinity Plan! We were particularly impressed with the service from Pratik, Pandor and Vishal at Vani and also a mention for Anwar and the chef who looked after us really well at Zero restaurant where we enjoyed a first class lunch! Staff are generally excellent but we found some of the front desk team to have a poor grasp of English and the detail of the Infinity plan. Fortunately our host Nizam was very knowledgeable and helpful as was Faisal the manager who resolved a few issues for us. The watersports team were great fun and Sunny, Mohammed and Rafhaan at the Dive Center led brilliant Discover Scuba and Snorkelling excursions. We swam with Turtles, Manta Rays and the more elusive Whale Shark - all were amazing experiences and provided special memories. With the Infinity Plan we made good use of the Spa which was great - Yola was excellent but so were all the staff - each a professional in their field. Overall, a wonderful holiday with many special memories made. The large team of Staff are always helpful and do their very best to ensure you have a memorable holiday. My only complaint? As a Coventry City fan, having a holiday at ‘Villa Park’ was a difficult one to get over…..but we did! 🤣

This was my third visit to Villa Park, and it was nice to come back and see some of the changes at the resort. Villa Park is a large and lively island with a very relaxed atmosphere and plenty to do. There is a wide choice of accommodation, and I especially liked the area with the new two-storey family residences. The beach on this side of the island is quite nice, with fewer corals and a more comfortable entrance into the water. The food is simple but varied, with plenty of choice for different tastes. The evening stingray and shark feeding is still one of those experiences that makes Villa Park special and is always fun to watch. But what I would really like to highlight from this stay is the wonderful service from Victoria at reception. She is such a warm, kind and genuinely caring person. She was always ready to help, attentive to every request and made us feel very welcome. It is often the people who make the biggest difference during a hotel stay, and Victoria is definitely one of those people. Thank you, Victoria, for taking such good care of us. Your warmth and hospitality made our stay even better, and I hope to see you again on my next visit!

We don’t normally leave reviews but feel this place deserves one. Our 10 days in Villa Park Sun Island was the most amazing holiday ever 😍 We visited the island 22 years ago for our honeymoon and returned in May this year for our 22nd Anniversary. Villa Park was even better than we remembered. The island, the views, the marine life, the activities, the Spa and the Italian restaurant, were absolutely amazing but what made it extra special were THE STAFF!! Every single staff member worked so incredibly hard. We would love to thank them all but there are way too many to mention but we need to say a Special Thank You to GAFUR the buggy driver, VISHAL & KARAN in the coffee shop & ASWAR & TEAM in the restaurant….THANK YOU SO SO MUCH for making our holiday unforgettable 😍 Love Paul & Donna Black x
