Coral Azur Beach Resort

I visited Coral Azur Hotel with my family for lunch on 6 September. We paid Rs. 1,500 per person for the buffet, and unfortunately, we did not feel that the experience was good value for money. The buffet included one glass of water per person. For the main course, there was mine frite, chicken, turkey, sausage, rice and fish. While there was a reasonable selection, the overall quality and presentation did not justify the price of Rs. 1,500 per person. We believe that better food can be found elsewhere for the same amount. One of our biggest concerns was the hygiene of the cold section. There were plenty of mosquitoes around the salad and cold food, which we immediately reported to the staff. The chicken was also served on an uncovered white plate, and we noticed mosquitoes landing on it. This was particularly concerning from a hygiene and food-safety perspective. There was also some confusion regarding the drinks included in our package. At reception, we were informed that our package included one glass of water and one soft drink. We took the soft drinks based on this information. However, a lady in the restaurant later informed us that we had to pay for them. We went back to reception to clarify the matter, but unfortunately, we received a different explanation. We are not complaining about having to pay for a soft drink. The amount itself is not the issue. We simply wanted to clarify the information and provide feedback so that the communication between reception and the restaurant can be improved. Unfortunately, when we spoke with Sunil, instead of addressing our concern professionally, he told us that we were lying and mentioned that he had many years of experience in hospitality. We found this response very unprofessional and disappointing. As customers, we expected our concern to be listened to and handled respectfully. On a positive note, we really enjoyed the welcome cocktail, which was very good. We would also like to give special thanks to the entertainment team. They were friendly, welcoming and did a great job of making our day more enjoyable. Overall, our experience was mixed. The entertainment team and welcome cocktail were excellent, but the food quality, hygiene issues, communication regarding the drinks, and the way our concern was handled left us disappointed. At Rs. 1,500 per person, we expected a much better overall experience and better value for money. I hope the management takes this feedback constructively and uses it to improve the buffet, hygiene standards and customer service.

I was worried about finding a good hotel for my mother on her first visit to Mauritius. And I found this beautiful, beachfront hotel with a pleasant and peaceful atmosphere—perfect for a sunny getaway. The staff’s service is outstanding. My mom was also the first Cuban to visit this resort, and everyone was very kind to her. Especially Neermal, who is very helpful and makes towel figures that brightened her days. We’re grateful and happy. I would gladly visit this place myself and my mother would definitely stay again. Thanks

Service was terrible, front disk Sanjeev promos things they can’t hold and charge you 100 euro for it, disaster, most of the staff is sweet. But never ever again not for me and not for recommendation.!

Our stay was excellent and we had the best staff looking after us. The hotel was absolutely gorgeous, the food was excellent and the whole experience was so good. From the manager, Jennifer to the whole team, thanks so much for your warmth and love. A very special mention to the kids club team and the animation team, Joanna, Mireille, Emmanuella, Rooney, Elodie, Emmanuel, Victoria, Oceanne and the whole entire team. We had a fine stay and many of the things, food included, were pretty good, but the spa needs a revamp whilst customer service could surely be better. A great property on the whole, nonetheless.
