LUX* Grand Gaube

We had such an amazing stay at LUX* Grand Gaube, and what really made it memorable were the people. Everyone was warm, friendly, thoughtful and genuinely kind. The resort really does feel like paradise, especially the walk towards check-in. You cannot help but be drawn towards the ocean in front of you. The resort is beautifully decorated complimenting the Islands’ own natural serene tropical beauty. We booked the Junior suite on what we named ‘The Cresent’. Giany, it takes a particular kind of manager to make guests feel so genuinely welcome and heard, and this was honestly one of the best examples ever experienced. We really appreciated the way you and your team made sure our special anniversary was beautifully looked after. We also really enjoyed our impromptu conversations whenever bumping into you around the resort. Those genuine honest moments added a very personal touch to our stay and it was always a pleasure to come across you during our walks. Giany, a personal and special thanks from my wife for the most beautiful velvety red roses. We will always remember the moment staff walked into our room with them, we were genuinely blown away. Thank you! Thank you for arranging our anniversary meal at INTI, it was a real highlight, memorable for all the right reasons and a special thanks to Pedro and Yasser for making it so personal and more than just dinner. The Ceviche was exquisite and perfectly prepared. The food and choice at the Palm restaurant was of such amazing quality, fresh and plentiful, and we especially enjoyed the Indian station, and the amazing selection of deserts. My wife who is usually indifferent to the delights of a chicken tikka, ended up having them almost every night, if that isn't a testament to the chef's skill, I don't know what is. Her only regret was not asking for the recipe! Thank you so much Singh, for making the most delicious Keema for us on request and for your colleague (sorry I didn’t get his name) for making fresh tandoori naans on demand. Our evenings post indulgence consisted of a very pleasant walk around the resort and relaxing on our porch listening to the chirping of most beautiful birds and the sounds of the crashing of waves creating a complete sense of tranquillity. If we had one small suggestion is that the beautiful oversized porch chairs deserve footstools. After all, when you are sitting in paradise, your feet deserve a holiday too. We also want to thank the beach team, especially Liam for the strawberry mocktails, his generosity and attention to detail did not go unnoticed and Reedo for looking after us so well and carving out the heart on the beach on the morning of our anniversary. We must learn to jump higher and in tandem before our next visit. Thank you to The Palm restaurant team especially Jason who seemed to have made it his mission to make sure we were okay, also Sophie, Sandiven, Noorani, Alia, Ranjeeta, Sita and Rishi. We promise Chef, to return to taste your Biryani, such a lovely gesture to try and make it for lunch on the day of our departure. Thanks also to Sunny and the housekeeping team for whom nothing was too much trouble, the special messages on the bed and beautiful towel swans really put a smile on our faces. Henna, your handmade ice-creams were a treat, including the vermicelli pudding! We had dinner at Bodrum Blue, the food was delicious, especially the Meze and the chicken, significantly better than what we experienced in Istanbul! Staff were so attentive, thank you Durgesh. We cannot end this review without a very special mention to the Café LUX* team; Tisha for our daily ritual of collecting four empty cups for our self-made tea to enjoy on the beach. Looking back, we suspect we may have been solely responsible for a noticeable portion of the resort's cup budget during our two-week stay! The resort really had a way of making time slow down, allowing you to simply enjoy the moment. In fact, if it wasn’t for the metal plaque at the entrance telling us the day of the week, we would have completely lost track of time, which is probably the greatest compliment we can give the resort and all those who make it so special. The beauty of the resort is clearly not accidental. Credit to the gardening team for keeping the grounds looking exceptional throughout our stay. A special mention to Gobin, whose friendly morning greeting seemed to reflect the pride the team takes in maintaining such beautiful surroundings. Thank you to everyone who helped make our anniversary holiday feel personal, relaxed and full of lovely memories. One thing we hadn't fully appreciated before arriving was just how much there is to do, with activities ranging from paddleboarding and tennis, padel to yoga, a gym with instructor and wellness masterclasses, meaning there really is something for everyone. So be sure to pack your kit. The Island itself is beautiful, and we really enjoyed our trips outside of the resort also, so make sure you have enough time to explore both. Thank you Yusra and the meet and greet team for such a lovely goodbye and keeping us hydrated on our day trips. If you’re wondering whether to go, our advice is simple, go! Picture the ocean, imagine the sounds of the waves, exceptional food and service and you’ll understand why we can’t wait to return. Thank you to the whole team and hope to see you all again soon.

We spent three wonderful nights at LUX* Grand Gaube with my husband and our 18-month-old little one, and honestly, we had such a beautiful experience. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm, joyful and welcoming. Our room was lovely, the food was fantastic and of excellent quality, and the restaurant staff were always kind, attentive and welcoming. Everyone had such a happy and positive vibe, which made our stay even more special. A special mention to Miss Deepa at the Kids Club, who became very special to our little one. She absolutely adored her and became so fond of her during our stay. It was heartwarming to see the bond they developed. The other Kids Club staffs were also incredibly joyful, caring and welcoming. Thank you again Miss Deepa :) Another very special mention to the Senior Chef Deepak, who went above and beyond to prepare meals for our toddler according to her taste. As parents, this meant so much to us and made our stay much easier and more enjoyable. At the buffet restaurant, all the staffs were exceptionally welcoming and kind. Mr Thierry deserves a special mention for always greeting us with a smile and making us feel so welcome. Mr Noorani bonded so beautifully with our little one, which we truly appreciated. And at Bodrum Restaurant, Mr Doorgesh was always checking on us and making sure we were having a good time. Miss Aditi, Miss Cheshna, Yasser and Mrs Madhvi also deserve some appreciation for always being there whenever needed. We were supposed to be there for just two nights. Despite the huge amount of bookings during our stay, Mrs Elena managed to find another night for us to make it even more memorable for us. These little personal touches made our stay feel much more than just a hotel stay, they made us feel genuinely cared for. It was the most amazing stay and friendliest staff. Beautiful view and the rooms where top notch and always clean. The evening entertainment was lovey with the most friendliest staff, great value for money as i was all inclusive. They went out of their way to accommodate a family of 15 people! Over all so lovely. Special mention to Viresh our beach waiter who always made sure we had our drinks and food on time.

And a special thank you to Mrs Elena at the Reception, who went out of her way to make it possible for us to extend our stay at the very last minute. We really appreciated her help and kindness. All these little personal touches made our stay feel much more than just a hotel stay. They made us feel genuinely cared for and welcomed as a family. From the moment we arrived, we felt like we were amongst family. We simply cannot praise the staff enough. Giany and the whole team were absolutely magnificent. They looked after us as though we were their own family, and the warmth and genuine care we received was something very special. Every staff member we bumped into around the hotel greeted us with a smile, acknowledged us, and was always happy to point us in the right direction or help in any way they could. Nothing was ever too much trouble. We felt so welcomed and cared for throughout our stay. We were genuinely teary on our last day when we had to leave. We were only there for two days and honestly wished we could have stayed so much longer! A special mention has to go to Giany he is one of the best hotel managers we have ever come across. He is so on the ball, knows exactly what is happening throughout the hotel and somehow manages to make everything look effortless. There were so many members of the team who made our stay special — Kaviraj, Ashwin, Gevine Ramesh Suchita, Thierry, Romario, Anik, Dinesh Digesh just to name a few, there were many more. Every one of them made us feel so welcome and looked after us incredibly well. And then there are all the little quirky and thoughtful touches around the hotel that make it feel so unique. There are activities for the whole family, and we even played pool and carom after years — something we really enjoyed! The music and atmosphere were fantastic too. The food was wonderful. We had some fantastic meals at Creole and Bodrum, and both were amazing places to eat. We were on half board, which worked well for us, but if you really enjoy your food and drinks, I would probably recommend going all-inclusive. The ice cream is incredible, especially the coconut and pistachio — definitely try them! And the almond and chocolate croissants are absolutely delicious. There are so many little things that make this hotel special, but ultimately it is the people who make the experience unforgettable. We genuinely didn’t have enough time. Two days simply wasn’t enough! We highly recommend LUX Grand Gaube and cannot wait to return. ❤️* Thank you to the entire team for making our short stay so incredibly memorable.
