Sunrise Attitude

This was our second time in this majestic hotel, and like always, we were absolutely BLOWN AWAY! 😍😍😍 We absolutely LOVED our stay. We were there to celebrate the birthday of my girlfriend, and we were so happy to be staying in the same private villa, Villa 3007, that we had during our last visit. Our villa was PERFECT, just like the first time we came. 🥹 Everything was very well taken care of, and once again, we felt so comfortable and at home. We would love to give a very heartfelt THANK YOU to Mrs. REENA, as she was just THE BEST! ❤️🥹 She went above and beyond just to be able to book the villa of our choice, Villa 3007, and she made sure everything was PERFECT! 😍 Right from the very start, before we had even come to the hotel, and throughout our stay, she was such an angel. ❤️ She was always there to respond with such warmth and kindness.🥹 She made sure we got all that we requested for, and we are very grateful for that. Mrs. REENA, you truly went above and beyond for us, and we want you to know that every single effort you made was deeply appreciated. You made everything so much easier for us and made sure that our experience was exactly what we wanted. You were honestly the best manager ever, and it was such a pleasure to meet with you again. Thank you so much for ALL YOUR EFFORTS, for your kindness, your patience, your availability, and for always making sure that everything was taken care of. 😍🥹❤️ Another person we would like to thank from the bottom of our heart was Mr. AVI. You were just INCREDIBLE! ❤️ Thank you so much for the welcome. We were greatly touched that you remembered us and greeted us with such warmth. You were such a kind-hearted person who was always checking up on us whenever you saw us, and you always made sure that everything was going well. You made sure everything was seamless, and thank you for personally helping us out it was greatly appreciated. We truly appreciated the way you went out of your way to make sure that we were comfortable and that everything was going smoothly. Both Mr. AVI and Mrs. REENA were the BEST MANAGERS WE’VE EVER MET in the hospitality industry, and your work deserves GREAT RECOGNITION. Your dedication, professionalism, kindness, and genuine care for your guests are truly admirable. It was so nice seeing you guys again, and we really appreciated your friendliness, your service, and the wonderful atmosphere you always created for us. ❤️ We were also very happy to meet with Mrs. SARITA again. You were so kind and attentive, and you made sure that everything went smoothly for us whenever we came to the restaurant. 🥺❤️ Your kindness and attention did not go unnoticed, and we truly appreciated the way you took care of us. Thank you so much for always making us feel so welcome and for making our restaurant experiences even more enjoyable. We loved the eggs that Mrs. PRATIMA made for us during breakfast. 🍳😍 They were so yummy and honestly the BEST WE EVER HAD! 😍 Thank you so much for preparing them for us and for making our breakfasts even more enjoyable. During our stay, we had dinner at Kot Nou, which was absolutely DELICIOUS! We enjoyed each and every meal we had there, and it was such a lovely experience. I would definitely recommend Kot Nou if ever you are staying at Sunrise Attitude. A special thank you to SANDESH, who assisted us during that night. You did a good job and made sure that we were well taken care of. 😊 Thank you for your assistance and for helping make our evening such a pleasant one. I cannot rave about the staff at this hotel enough! I stayed here for 10 days in September with my husband, parents & brother, and we all had the most amazing time. I was nearly 6 months pregnant, it was my 30th birthday, and I genuinely couldn’t have felt more special or looked after. We stayed all inclusive and had swim up rooms, which I would highly recommend. The weather: The weather in September was a bit up and down. We had some beautiful, clear and warm days, as well as cloudier days with lovely warm winds and a few bursts of rain. Temperatures were around 24–26°C on average. Exceptional staff & gluten free food: The staff here are phenomenal. The service we received throughout our stay was outstanding, and honestly, the hospitality is the main reason I would recommend this hotel. I have coeliac disease, so I need a strict gluten free diet. On our first night, we met with Subash, the manager, and explained my allergies and dietary requirements. From day two onwards, pretty much every chef and member of the waiting staff knew us, knew about my coeliac disease and went out of their way to help. A huge shout out to Kavy (Kitchen Coordinator), Soobam (Chef), Sarita (Waiting Staff) and Ravi (Junior Sous Chef), who supported with the majority of my meals. Another shout out to Avinesh who is the guest experience manager. He was extremely accommodating and went over and above to cascade any information for us to the wider team. I can’t thank the staff enough! The chefs made me delicious and safe meals every day at Social House, The Market and Kot Nou, including some amazing gluten free desserts. We even were given a private cooking class at Kot Nou so I didn’t need to worry about cross contamination! I felt incredibly well looked after and, after the first day, I didn’t have to worry about cross contamination at all. On my 30th birthday, Ravi went above and beyond and made me delicious food that wasn’t even on the menu, as well as a wonderful gluten free birthday cake. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made my birthday feel really special. Coeliacs considering Mauritius- go to Sunrise Attitude! I felt genuinely cared for here, and the staff deserve so much credit. One important note for anyone with allergies: on our first day, I asked at the Taba-J food cart which options were gluten free. I was told the chicken and rice stir-fry was gluten-free, but before eating it I could smell a strong soy sauce smell. It turned out the staff member didn’t realise that the soy sauce contained gluten. Thankfully, I spotted it before eating it, as it could have made me extremely unwell for several days. We spoke to the manager about this, and after that one hiccup, we had no further food-related issues whatsoever. My husband also has a nut allergy, and we noticed that the buffet wasn’t always labelled with nut allergens. For example, the butter chicken contained nuts but this wasn’t clearly indicated. So, if you have a serious allergy, I would recommend speaking directly to a chef rather than relying solely on the buffet labels. Pools & activities: The pool areas were lovely and never felt too busy. We always managed to get a sunbed, even on days when we spent the morning relaxing in our swim-up room and only headed to the pool after lunch. The Social House pool was somewhat heated, which was particularly nice on the cooler days. The cocktails and mocktails were great, and there were loads of activities available around the Social House pool, including water Zumba, water polo and table tennis tournaments. We also enjoyed a complimentary glass-bottom boat trip, with the option to go snorkelling, which was also free. We did a pottery class and coconut bowling too, both of which were so much fun. There was also a pool table, board games, checkers and plenty of other things to keep you entertained. Spa: The spa is small but lovely. I had a pregnancy massage during our stay, and it was incredibly relaxing — exactly what I needed! The room: Our swim-up room was amazing and I would definitely recommend booking one. That said, it is worth remembering that this is a 4-star rather than a 5-star hotel, so you can expect a few minor issues. We noticed a damp smell at times and there was some mould on the curtains. The room also wasn’t spotless to a 10/10 standard. However, these things didn’t take away from our overall experience, and we still found the room really comfortable and enjoyable. The beach: The beach was just across the road and it was the most stunning beach I’d ever seen. It’s private and small, but very quiet. Overall: We had a fantastic trip. Aside from the slight food-related hiccup on our first day, everything was wonderful. What really stood out was how genuinely kind, attentive and accommodating the staff were. They remembered us, remembered my dietary requirements and made us feel incredibly welcome throughout our 10 days. I’d say a small tip to the great staff goes a long way, we tipped between 500-1000 Mauritius rupees to those who helped and it was very appreciated. I left feeling so grateful for the experience, especially being pregnant and celebrating my 30th birthday there. If we ever return to Mauritius, we’ll be coming back to Sunrise Attitude.

First time at a hotel, upon arrival we were greeted by Mrs Lush who gave us a warm welcome. The amenities in room was appreciated for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. The anniversary dinner at the social house was special and delicious. We felt very appreciated. The hotel is clean and also to mention that the food portion quantity is appropriate. Thank you to Sebastien for the good service for our special night. And also thanks to Mr Sunny.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was lovely, clean and comfortable, and the air conditioning worked very well. The staff were absolutely fantastic and always made us feel welcome and genuinely appreciated. The food was really good, even for a picky eater like me! I especially enjoyed the fish and chicken dishes. There was also a good variety of activities and entertainment at the hotel, and everything was kept very clean and well organized. The hotel is located in quite a small village, so there aren’t many shops or attractions nearby. The beach right next to the hotel was beautiful, but unfortunately, due to the windy weather, the waves were quite strong during our stay and it wasn’t possible to swim. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend the hotel. The friendly staff, great food, beautiful surroundings and excellent facilities made it a lovely holiday experience.
