Cons: Food was mostly average (with the exception of Tres Colores and Fusion), and the buffet lacked variety. Drinks were watered down, and the “natural” juices were clearly made from concentrate. Snacks were inconveniently far from the main pool and kids’ area, and the Tides snack bar somehow didn’t offer basics like chicken tenders or pizza—the buffet was the only place to get a slice. That’s A Wrap looked like hospital food, though the cookies were solid. Mosquitoes were a persistent issue in the room despite fumigation. Pros: Excellent entertainment, fun activities, and genuinely friendly staff. Beds were comfortable, and the bathroom’s Bluetooth speakers were a cool touch. Overall: 3.5/5. A memorable stay, but I probably wouldn’t return. Having visited Dreams Punta Cana and Hyatt Ziva Cancun, this resort felt like it was missing small but impactful details—like poolside carts for fresh fruit, pizza, ice cream, and tacos—that would’ve elevated the experience. And seriously… no birria tacos in Mexico !?

I am in love with this place! The food is amazing; there are a variety of options. They are very conscientious and accommodating of food allergies (tons of gluten free options!!!). The rooms were immaculate and well cleaned. The programming is great. If you don’t want to leave the resort, there are a myriad of fun and exciting activities to participate in on-site. I’d like to give a special shoutout to the entertainment team - specifically Alex, Gustavo, Ricardo, and Jessica. They are all so high energy, kind, personable, and genuinely hilarious. Their infectious and welcoming energy leaves you feeling like you already knew them despite it being your first interaction. I look forward to running into them at the resort, and their personalities pull you into the activities they have planned for the day. I’d also like to give a shoutout out to Guillermo with the front desk/bellman team. I had a minor medical emergency, and he was quick to respond to my needs in a graceful and patient manner. I feel very taken cared of and safe in the staff’s hands. Everyone here goes out of their way to meet your needs, and they can anticipate them before you even ask. The entire staff has been absolutely amazing throughout the duration of my stay, and they are the reason I’d want to book this resort again. I came here with my family, but I’d easily return for a solo trip the next opportunity I have. I wish I could give this place 10,000 stars!!!!! I’m going to have to leave another review talking about the different things they have going on here. I’d recommend this place to everyone who wants to visit Playa Mujeres.

Lovely resort. The staff are all very lovely, the grounds are immaculate and it’s wonderful to be able to enjoy both the Dreams resort and neighboring Secrets via the readily available golf cart taxis. However, I want to commend whomever chooses the entertainment talent with respect to the amazing guitarist who played at Dreams Playa Mujeres on Sept 1st, ROBINSON FIGUEREDO CUBAN GUITARIST!! Please don’t miss his show! It was so beautiful and soothing to listen to his incredible musicianship playing so many popular and beautiful tunes of Sting and Charlie Puth, for example. If music is the food of life, play on my friend!! I could listen and watch you all night long!! I can’t imagine the years of dedication you have put into your beautiful craft but I wish you all the best and thank you for this wonderful experience!! Gracias 🙏
