Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine

I will keep this short - but as a general theme, all 10 of the group is looking forward to a return trip to this resort. Quick notes: Bahia team, if you are reading this and want to give special shout outs to your staff, let them know this is "Roy's" group from Toronto :) Service - depends on who you deal with, everyone was kind and attentive, but certain people seem to have more reach to make things happen depending on your request. We interacted the most with the bartenders, restaurant and entertainment staff and they all treated us like family. Special shout outs to Andy (entertainment), Francis (restaurants/bar), Salvador (pool bar), Young Luis (beach bar in the restaurant complex), Rolando? (guest services big lobby). All of you helped make the trip a success and made sure we were well taken care of - RESPECT TO YOU and THANK YOU! Rooms - a little dated, but completely fine for all of us, comfortable beds, spacious, very clean, some minor plumbing issues (hot/cold water) but that was throughout the complex as a result of construction. Dining - we are foodies, we are from Toronto were everyone knows the food game is insane - many of the a la carte meals (Fish House, Portofino, El Olivio) to mention a few would be places we would go to eat again. The buffet meals were clean, well stocked with a variety of options and many of the fruits taste better than those in our local grocery stores. And the eggs, bacon, yogurt and other breakfast staples were very tasty! TIP - Get the app and book your dinner reservations 10 days in advance - seating fills up quickly. As a group of 10, every a la carte was able to accommodate the entire group at one table with some advance notice (just email the hotel with your booking codes and they combine the seating. Drinks - and we had many of those - big lobby bar where the evening shows are seems to have the best selection, and while you're there, hit the coffee machine in the far corner - very smooth! Our other two favourite bars were the pool bar and the beach bar in the restaurant complex. The other beach bar (small tiki hut) was ok - but limited variety and sometimes too heavy on the alcohol. Beach - well it's sargassum season and we arrived in the thick of it - literally - a few feet high on the sand but after a day it seem to slow down, the beach workers did a good job clearing and maintaining, but we did spend most days at the pool as a result of this. Not their fault, mother nature has her course to run. Pool - our main spot during the trip, pool volleyball, pickle ball, aerobics, etc., all very entertaining and while your here - grab burger at the snack bar beside the towel hut - one of our group works at a very fancy restaurant in North York and he said it was fantastic and one of the better burgers he has eaten (he had 3 one day) and the rest of us thoroughly enjoyed them. TIP: yes as you may have read in other reviews, the pool bar pool, i.e. the middle pool where the aerobics etc., are done can alter the colour of white bathing suits, likely due to high chlorine to ensure it's not a "pee pee pool". We didn't have that issue in the other pools. Overall - we are very well travelled and we all agree it is one of the better resorts we have been too - so thank you Bahia Principe for upholding the standard and keep up the excellent work! We have a good time the days that we stayed at the resort. Food is sustainable! At the buffet .

I would’ve given zero if I could this is a zero star hotel I am staying here right now. It’s my first day. There was no hand so there was no tissue. There was no shampoo no conditioner. There was no cold water. The water pressure is very low. I already called the service desk so many times and I only got after five hours tissue and hand soap, and I’m still out of the shampoo and Conditioner. Hotel does not have any toothbrush or toothpaste. They had me to pay $12 for the toothbrush and toothpaste. They don’t have any i In room slippers. The restaurants are mostly full for the week and their Guest service is not helpful.Hotel hotels Club and entertainment are not free anymore. They will charge people to use the club at night.. I would give zero to this Hotel if I can this is not worth any money and any star.

Truly enjoyed my stay. Staff was friendly, room was clean and the views were great! Pool was amazing and the entertainment poolside was an energy! Added bonus was the room service, paid extra$9, but so worth it!

Our stay at Bahia Principe Aquamarine was absolutely wonderful! We had a great experience from start to finish, and the staff made our vacation even more enjoyable. A special shoutout to Yudelka and Gladys for their exceptional service. They were professional, friendly, and went above and beyond to assist us with everything we needed. Their kindness and dedication truly made a difference and made us feel welcomed throughout our stay. We would definitely recommend Bahia Principe Aquamarine to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. We can't wait to come back!
