I want to share my experience so anyone thinking about staying here, especially families with children, can seriously consider avoiding this place. No, seriously. Our experience was extremely disappointing and, at times, very uncomfortable. The first day we arrived at the hotel, it took forever to get our room. The ladies at the front desk automatically gave us attitude and acted like they did not want to attend to us at all. We remained calm and decided to go to the pool area while we waited. Once we finally received our room, we discovered that the bathroom was not working. Why would they give us a room when maintenance had apparently already reported the issue? Thankfully, the butler helped us switch rooms, and he was actually very nice and helpful. Honestly, if it were up to the ladies at the front desk, I do not think we would have received the same treatment. Now, let me talk about the women working at the bars. This was probably the most uncomfortable part of our entire stay. The attitudes were unbearable. I eventually had to ask my husband to get our sodas and drinks because I did not want to deal with the way some of the employees were treating us. On one occasion, my daughter asked for a frappe, and the lady working there mocked her and stuck out her tongue at her. Unfortunately, I cannot identify her because I did not read her name tag, but she was working at the bar next to the buffet. That was completely inappropriate, especially toward a child. On another occasion, I went to ask for a drink, and a woman named Estefany Merndez gave me an ugly look, threw her arms out, and almost screamed, "What do you want?" That kind of behavior is completely unacceptable when you are paying for a service. It felt disrespectful and, honestly, like harassment. I cannot say for certain why we were treated this way, but I did notice that whenever local Dominican guests approached the employees, they seemed much more polite and welcoming. That difference in treatment made me uncomfortable and even raised concerns for me about whether there was some type of discrimination involved. I genuinely did not feel safe or welcomed at this hotel. The servers at the buffet were also rude. They would not bring us water or anything else we needed, and we often had to get our own forks and knives just to eat. Again, the attitude and facial expressions made us feel very uncomfortable. It felt like they were unhappy to even be there. As for the food, breakfast was honestly the worst. Every section seemed to repeat the same options, and the selection was very limited. The bread was really good, though, so I will give them that. The snack bar was also great, and I really enjoyed the fried chicken. The restaurants were a completely different experience. The staff there were much more courteous, especially the person in charge of the Dominican restaurant. The food also seemed to be much better quality at the restaurants compared to the buffet. We also found cockroaches in our room on multiple occasions, which was extremely disturbing. Because of that, we did not even feel comfortable bringing food back to the room. I will say that the beach was beautiful and the tours were amazing. Those were definitely some of the highlights of the trip. Unfortunately, the hotel experience completely overshadowed them. I will NEVER go back to this hotel. Sadly, this was our first time visiting the Dominican Republic, and because of this experience, my family does not even want to return to the country. That is such a shame because the Dominican Republic is beautiful, and our experience with the hotel should not have left us feeling this way. If you are considering this hotel, especially if you are traveling with children, I strongly recommend doing your research and considering other options. The way we were treated, the lack of professionalism, the issues with our room, and the overall experience were simply not acceptable for what we paid.
It is a huge resort, but the entertainment, food and bars concentrated close to the reception. You will go up and down the stairs a lot because the elevators are far apart. Two swimming pools.
Service was wonderful and my butler Leslie was amazing and did everything she could to make our experience great!
I had an amazing stay with Baroni Rodriguez! The hospitality was exceptional, the space was cozy and clean, and Baroni was attentive to every detail. Highly recommend for a memorable experience!
All the staff people were rude and unpolite. It was unconfortable to ask for a drink or a fork.
