Amazing place, John and Wally at the pool bar were an amazing vibe!

Comida estaba muy Buena.El Pilon dominican restaurant fue mi favorito, the staff at the buffet and all throughout the resort were nice. There were multiple pools for party.activities, quiet pools for relaxation and a water park for kids. Mini golf, basketball, pickle ball, tennis, bleach vollyball... my familys favorite activities were by the pool, darts, horse shoe fun contests. Plus Pool aerobics, dance lessons. music, nightly shows at 9:30 The Michael Jackson show was awesome, the magic show blew my mind. My family loved girls vs boys contest. plus after party in the lobby with dancing or karaoke. We loved the team at Entertainment Animacion EXCELLENTE The shows were amazing. . The staff brought all the energy and fun activities for us. Such a great team. They work really hard to make sure we have a good time. Muchas gracias a Nathanael, Estafanie, Alfrendy,Frankie, dismely, malak, . . We had a good time as a family..

The hotel looks ok. Old, colorful, but it looked like it had potential. Right from the start, it started off wrong. Maria was more interested in checking her Facebook or Instagram page than checking us in and help add one extra night and one extra guest to our reservation. She did not have her name tag - btw. We had a group of 32, a few of us staying for 3 nights and others for 2 nights. Room was nice. The pools were good, especially the one that had the in pool bar. The food was so so. The Buffett had ample selections but the taste was not the best, e.g. something as typical like a mangu. Great variety of desserts, though. The “all inclusive” (food and drinks) lived up to the name. The beach was dirty because of the sargassum but that’s not the hotel’s fault. It looks like they were raking it, picking it up, and hauling it away, though - 2 thumbs up for effort. A tale of two cities when it came to the staff. We must have come across the worst possible staff in multiple days on simple stuff. For example at the buffet, a simple request of “may I have a clean fork please?” was not acknowledged and followed with a “I heard you and I’m only one man” when asking a second time. Asking for a plastic cup to be able to leave the buffet with our drink was met with “ask the folks on the other side” only to get the same response once we went to the other side. It felt like asking for help or directions was not part of the all inclusive deal. Some of the staff was very attentive. There were some gems among. They were shadowed by the rude ones. The staff at the Brazilian restaurant was most excellent. The hostess at the buffet place was very engaging and welcoming. The folks at the coffee shop were on point despite the constant flow of many many people making requests. Some of the train drivers were attentive while many did not even stop to consider people with needs and it looked like they did not want to be there at all. The facilities are good. The layout is good. The treatment from most of the staff diminishes any positive experience you would expect “from a 5 star hotel.”

We went on a Family trip celebrating my Mother's 80th birthday. We stayed from the 27th - 30th with 3 rooms arriving on the 27th and 15+ rooms arriving on the 28th. Arrival was bumpy as not all Front Desk staff is as friendly and professional as it should be, starting with Maria who checked us in with her phone in her hand watching her Facebook feeds as we were deciding to add an extra night to one room of our Party. Yohancy was great with the group check in the day after. Also Julio and Abel are great assets answering our queries patiently. We went ahead to enjoy the Resort while the rooms were ready. One of the rooms had to request a change due to a strong humidity in them. Another one was changed due to the air conditioner not functioning properly. Another one had to request that the sheets and the pillow be changed due to a strong humidity odor. Apparently rooms are not checked prior to delivering to the guest. The rest of the rooms were spectacular. Cleaning is spotless and housekeeping staff is courteous and helpful. Staff is the best asset at bars and Restaurants, specially Ninoska and Rafael at El Pilón who are very professional and courteous. They made us feel appreciated all throughout our stay. Special mention also to the Captain at Fogo (didn't catch his name) who went beyond to ensure we had a splendid group night. The housekeeping lady for room 3105 is definately the best in what she does. Some staff though still have the stigma of Dominican groups and it is very noticeable. They made us feel unwanted and even avoided our requests bearing in mind that they were not many Tourists around. I do understand the difficulties of dealing with different ethnicities at a a Resort, however staff should be made more aware of the benefits that groups brings to your hotel. Thus the reason of you accepting Local groups. Concierge was as usual very helpful providing Restaurant reservations and helping with our request, the Restaurants receiving the guests however are not even close to know what service is. More training should be given to the Restaurants and bars staff. Not all are guilty of their lack of service, a few excell on what they do and their actions diminish what the rest don't do. That said, it is not entirely their fault, more supervision is required from their superiores. On varios venues we were given cracked glassware and dishware which is definately not aceptable. These were reported on the spot and changed immediately however this is not suppose to happen. Food recipes should be refreshed and if you are going to offer Dominican food it should taste good. The Coffe place and the Ice Cream Shop was very good, including their staff. Overall it was a nice stay considering what you paid for. Some things need to change in order to make it a better place to stay.

just now on Google We stayed at the hotel for 11 nights in august 26 (we actually go home tomorrow) thus hotel is beautiful, the staff are amazing, always happy and very welcoming and super friendly.. The beach is beautiful if u can get past the sargassum seaweed, they do try their best to clear it daily but there us so much of it its impossible.. The rooms are spacious and clean, comfy beds.. we did do the upgrade which was worth it our opinion as we got breakfast and lunch daily on the beach and use of the onsite restaurants which do require bookings.. Iffy bits: the buffet food is questionable, same food each night/day.. the food can be dry and over cooked as its leftbout on hot plates,we didn't like it but others may enjoy it so thats just our opinion, as we upgraded we enjoyed the onsite restaurants and a la cart restaurants, they where amazing.. The evening entertainment was abit lack luster.. started late and lasted an hour at most..the beach party was nice and relaxing thou.. Most of the bars close at 10pm every night which we found annoying as we booked all inclusive and to me bars and shops closing so early isnt what we expected In all we did enjoy our holiday very much and would like to return at some point..xx
