Dreams Onyx Resort & Spa

We were a family of 10.Ourselves , our 2 sons and their wives, our 4 grandchildren. Age 16, 15, 13, 12. We booked swim out rooms, which was the best thing we did. Rooms are nice we were in building 6. Perfect because it was close to reception the coffee shop and ice cream place, but nice and quiet. We saw lots of wedding almost one every 2nd day. Spent lots of time at the water park, only problem we found was some people keeping the donut floors with them at the sun beds. Very selfish as they are free for everyone to use. Love the way the main buffet and the restaurants are in an area near the beach, it was like walking though a village looking to choose your restaurant for the evening. No complaints about the food in any of the restaurants. But one thing I did notice was, we couldn’t pre book a table for 10 at any of the restaurants, we had to wait until they could fit us in. Which is ok except I did notice that butlers for people that had upgraded to preferred club would walk to the front of the queue, and get a table for their guests. Which I found double standard. I say this because I asked the staff at reception if we could pre book a time for our son’s 10 wedding anniversary. But was told firmly it’s not possible for any guest to do. I did find contacting the hotel before we arrived, very difficult. I sent a few emails to different people, but none replied to us. Apart from that we had a fantastic holiday and the majority of staff were brilliant and went out of their way to make our holiday special. The only reason I would not return is we always go to adult only, since our boys now have their own families.

About 40 min from PUJ airport. Great resort! Pools are very nice, water park is amazing. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Went for our honeymoon, stayed in adults only section.

Fantastic experience with Dreams Onyx!!! Friendly staff, great food, immaculate vibes. Personal concierge Jesus was very helpful and insightful!!! Preferred Club is a MUST!!

They refused to allow us a late check-out, even for an additional fee, claiming that our exact rooms had already been assigned to other guests. They did not care that we had checked in after 10:00 PM on our arrival day or that our flight was late at night. Unfortunately, they showed no understanding or flexibility toward their guests.

Amazing Hotel!! If you go please book as Sterling as your butler!! He was so nice and we literally did not do anything because he booked everything for us!
