Impressive Punta Cana

Keeping it short. If only. Don't get me wrong I've been to many Carribbean islands and all been great. Never have I experienced anything like this. There's better places to stay!! Premium upgrade not worth the money no difference what so ever. Premium price budget service. Staff basic English, treated us as if we didn't count. If you're Spanish speaking you're laughing. Rooms are dirty even after being moved. Buffet food don't waste your time cold and generally not up to standard. Pictures do not live up to whats advertised. Loads of building work going on they don't tell you about 8 to 6 daily. Tractor on the beach daily all day collecting seaweed. Maybe just this time of year but no one mentioned it. Noisey, no quiet place anywhere to relax. Bars always playing Spanish style loud music. The only air conditioning is in your room, everything else is open to the elements rain or humidity. Restaurants walked out of the mexican wouldn't even feed it to the stray cats! Plumbing.. oh don't forget toilet tissue goes in the bin beside the toilet.. no lids and no brush. 3 floors over the complex and no lifts in site. Even requestef a ground floor got 3rd.. twice! Actually the only good experience was the Japanese restaurant. The customer service is just not there. Don't bother making any form of request or complaint you will be ignored. The hotel will also do the same standard message after this is posted so shows they don't read them. All I wanted was a relaxing chilled week before moving house. What we got was Nothing like it!! Sejour tres agreable et reposant dans cet hotel, personnel a l’ ecoute, et disponible sauf pour certains elements ( en attente de pourboires ) je fais reference a l’ equipe de barmen de la piscine plage. Par contre, congrats for the team of the Villa Magna restaurant : Team very professional, happy and nice, they know what Service is …Moreover, very delicious food…. A very big thanks to Sandro, MissYasaira and their colleagues for their smiles, their presence and the happy times I had there.. U are THE BEST , do not change :D

Before I arrived I had read several reviews that worried me , I am pleased to say that we had a relatively pleasant stay. Upsides Staff were always friendly and even the guys selling excursions round the pool didn’t hound you too much to book - lots of good banter. The girls at the sports bar are stand out - so friendly and smiley and made you feel really welcome. Always able to get a sun lounger - and no mad early morning dashes to do this - some days we didn’t come down till 9 am still good spaces available. Cocktails and mocktails were great - lots of choice and well made. Evening entertainment was good - the white party stood out for us. Was good with the big lightening storm in the background. Rooms are cleaned daily and to a good standard. Mini bar is restocked (does seem to be a disparity or contents in bar between rooms - even if both booked the same grade) Downsides The hotel needs a bit of love - the main pool needs resurfacing and by the end of each day has a build up of suncreams / pollen and leaves etc built up on it - we did see lots of pool cleaning going on - but the film on top of the water was a bit gross by the end of the day. Perhaps filtration system needs updating too ? The beer was not good for a few days and tasted like it had cleaning products in it. You can’t get bottled water , other than from the coffee bar - which considering it’s 30 degrees water should be readily available, there are containers at the bar but these frequently run out and aren’t restocked. Aircon in rooms is hit and miss , we spent most of the trip with our room sitting at a balmy 23 degrees - the room also smelt of damp. Food - we aren’t a fussy couple at all - we struggled with the meals with nothing really standing out as being “really good” all just a bit “meh” we found something each night - but we never found anything we really enjoyed. I would give the hotel 6/10 - it definitely has the potential for higher but needs a bit of upgrading. And not an upside or a downside more of a side note - the sea at this time of year is full of seaweed and looks very brown - if you are hoping for clear blue waters it is not the time to come - the water is warm and the hotel clear the sea weed frequently - but it’s not the crystal blue waters you might expect - so just keep that in mind.

Everything was nice. Atmospheres , Room, Food and employees . We had such a nice stay at Impressive Resort. And we will definitely be back. Special Thanks to Gigi, Picachu, Chocolatina , Lily and spaghetti and to many more. Thank you for receveing us, bye from Italy and Canada!

Customer service in the Lobby was terrible; rooms weren't ready at check-in; The front desk staff lack of tools to resolve problems, everyone seems disorganized and unsure of what to do. Out of 12 reserved rooms, the A/C worked properly in only 3. There was a bad odor in the rooms. The only good things was the people of the buffet David & Mirriam, Jisselle in premium pool, the girls from sport bar, The people from On the grill; Santo, Francheyl, the Chef and Miguel. The boys from the principal pool bar Thomas, Michael and Jensen.This was my third visit with family and friends, but I won't be coming back, nor do I recommend it. Unfortunately was a bad experience for my first time family visiting Punta Cana.
