Royalton Bavaro Resort & Spa

We had a fabulous stay at the Doyalton Bavaro Resort. Customer service was excellent. Waiters, bartenders, house keeping and front desk were all amazing. Always checking in with us to ensure we were satisfied. Rooms were clean and well kept. Would have preferred to not have to book restaurants on reservation. We have previously stayed at the Royalton Punta Cana splash and we loved that there was no need for reservations. We had a few minor issues with the room and they were addressed very promptly. Only other issue was the seaweed problem which made enjoying the beach a problem but not the resort's fault.

Visited in 2023 and the hotel was excellent! Returned in 2026 and it’s gone downhill massively. Pools have tiles missing - the amount of people I saw cut there feet was ridiculous, the lazy river half the stuff doesn’t work it was dirty and again tiles missing . Cleaners don’t clean rooms properly fold your used towels back up like they’ve been replaced - some days they’d not even clean the room and just put a do not disturb sign on your door because they can’t be bothered (happened 3 times) - when you tell reception they say they’ll look into in and nothing changes. The food options in the buffets were severely reduced in comparison to 2023 - basic things like spoons aren’t set out on a table and to get one is mission impossible, the food is merely hot and some meals needed to be sent back in the sports bar due to being cold. The entertainment is the same so if you stop for 2 weeks you’ll see the same show 2/3 times. The waiters/bar staff are the best members of staff, polite and would do anything for you where’s as the rest of the staff are unhelpful. The Hotel really needs a shake up and a renovation - if we were ever to return we’d go to a different hotel it’s not worth the money you pay for a “royalton” chain.

Our stay at Royalton Bávaro Punta Cana was made truly memorable by the exceptional service we received from so many wonderful team members. A very special thank you to our two butlers, Javier and Wellenton. They were attentive, professional, accommodating, and always available to make sure we had everything we needed. Their personalized service made us feel genuinely cared for throughout our vacation. We would also like to recognize the Prime Team, especially Jesus, for their outstanding hospitality and attention. Their warmth and dedication added so much to our experience. The restaurant staff were mostly wonderful, but one person who truly stood out was Jesus from Ocean Caribbean Restaurant. We were fortunate to have him serve us on several special occasions—including the Members Dinner, at Rio Restaurant, and during our romantic dinner on the beach. Each time, Jesus provided exceptional service. He was attentive, friendly, professional, and made every dining experience feel special. Seeing a familiar, welcoming face at these memorable dinners was such a nice touch. We also want to give special recognition to Carmelo, who took amazing care of us at the pool cabanas. His attentiveness, friendly personality, and excellent service made our relaxing days by the pool even more enjoyable. It is team members like Javier, Wellenton, Jesus from the Prime Team, Jesus from Ocean Caribbean, and Carmelo who turn a beautiful resort vacation into an unforgettable experience. They are wonderful representatives of Royalton Bávaro and deserve to be recognized for the exceptional service they provide. Thank you all for helping make our Punta Cana vacation so special. We truly appreciate you and look forward to returning!

It was a wonderful, long weekend. Edwin was wonderful and attentive. Everyone on staff was so friendly and warm.

I would not recommend this resort. Though the lazy river and pools were excellent, they only provide a handful of floats. The food was just okay. Entertainment was good. Our room smelled funny and at check in our mini bar was empty. The swim up pool was dirty to include dirty sock, condiment wrappers and a hose tied to our lounge chair submerged in the pool. They do this to fill the pool however the pool was not full causing the water to be stagnant and dirty. Room 11101. They did stock the bar and remove the hose and trash but came back a few days later and tied the hose to the chair to fill the pool but never filled it enough to allow the filters to clean the pools. It was cheap place so we got what we paid for and will not go back or recommend it.
