Royalton Bavaro Resort & Spa

We went to Royalton Bavaro from march 1st to 8th. We expected a lot et we got all we were expected during that week. Food, beach, installations were nice! We also upgrade our service via Diamond club experience and it was a great choice. We got a lot of privilege and an amazing service by our buttler Kelvin. He was always there for us when we had some issues. Thanks much for this unforgetable week.

Recently returned from our seven day vacation. Beautiful surroundings and manicured landscaping. Lovely beach and pool areas. Staff was very friendly. As a Diamond Club member check-in was quick. We had an issue with our butler in bldg 19 however Jackie the consular was able to correct it. The food....Hunters Steakhouse ran out of some of the steaks. The only option was to pay $60 for a tomahawk steak or choose a burger or cheap skirt steak. At RIO they offered a nice selection of meats however many were a bit dry. Providing a little juice would have been nice. Grazi the Italian restaurant was very good. Buffets were basic. One suggestion would be for them to add more umbrellas at the DC pool. If you didn't secure one in the morning you'd be roasting by mid afternoon. Overhaul a very nice place.

The resort was beautiful and staff were very friendly. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed all the amenities. We had two issues. First, the check in process was extremely long and second was the food. There was a great deal of variety but it was a bit bland and not very hot. We did upgrade to the Diamond Club and I am glad we did. Anthony, our butler was amazing! He made sure we had everything we needed from getting our tubes blown up for the lazy river to bringing us extra snacks. He was attentive, professional and extremely friendly. He was prompt to reply to any messages and requests. We truly appreciated everything!

This was our second time at this resort with our small children and this time we brought my parents. We will 100 percent be back We were diamond club with a swim out room this second time around. When I booked the trip back in August, I immediately messaged our butler from 2024, Eduardo to find out if he was still there as he is beyond phenomenal. Not only was he amazing this time around for the 6 of us but he ensured my parents got a room next to us ( subject to availability but he put in a request and followed up). Anytime we needed anything, especially food or drink for the kids, he took care of it. He even drew baths with balloons and toys for the kids while we were out and the kids LOVED IT. Every morning he asked how we were doing, and made sure we got dinner reservations of our choice. We prefered having set reservations as waiting with kids is not ideal. Only one time, was the reservation not honored at the time requested (at Grazie) at which point we went to the buffet and he ended up acting as our waiter which he really didnt have to do. We re-reserved another day and he made sure we got in and were seated. Throughout the trip he continued to check in on us which was highly appreciated and he was very responsive to any request. I honestly wish I could bring him with me to other royalton resorts because he has set the bar very high. During our stay I was shocked to learn we were one of his first families in 2024 at the resort as he conducted himself as a seasoned butler. Very professional, kind and sweet. ABOUT THE RESORT The resort is beautiful. Our room was comfortable and just big enough with adequate storage space for the 4 of us. There are several pools, 2 kiddie pools ( one with splash park and slides ) and a wonderful lazy river with a bar in it. Plenty of bars in and out of pools and plenty of food options. Lunch options were good as they had hot dog/hamburges and AMAZING pizza from Grazie. Diamond club had the lounge with variety of snacks and Oceanside lunch buffet was plentiful as well and tasty. Regular Buffet has many options and I even ended getting lobster one night. There is something for everyone. We did not eat at Rio ( Brazilian ) as we weren't nuts about it the first time. Grazie was super tasty but you won't get your food for about an hour. Hunters was great my brisket was amazing however my husband said his steak was better at Oceanside for dinner. ZEN ( Teppanyaki ) was tasty and entertaining. They have decent kids menus as well. Night time entertainment was good too as we enjoyed the Michael Jackson and Queen tributes as well as the circus. They also have kids games and activities listed on the app. Scoops was also a favorite for dessert. Overall this is one of our favorite resorts and we've been to many. If you're able to afford it, I would upgrade to Diamond club as having someone like Eduardo can turn a good stay into a phenomenal stay :)
