Secrets Tides Punta Cana

Overall, our stay at Secrets Tides was average. The resort is beautiful and the service was good, but the food lacked variety and freshness. The staff was the highlight, especially Alexandra, Jordy, Josefa, Juan, Coral, Victor, Happy Boy, and Edward at the Preferred Pool Bar. Darling, the Pool staff supervisor, and the recreation team also kept things fun. We also appreciated Feliz at Market Café, Chabela at the food truck, Luis at the Preferred Pool concierge, and our butler Luis, who went above and beyond. Unfortunately, the food lacked variety and freshness, with hard, reheated rice. El Patio was our best meal, and we had no complaints about the drinks or bar service. We visit Punta Cana often and have stayed at Secrets Cap Cana twice, which remains our favorite. Secrets Tides has potential, but the food needs attention. The staff made our stay enjoyable, and we appreciate their excellent service.

Secret tides in punta cana was a fantastic hotel and resort. The resort was immaculate every day. It was set up very beautifully with lots of little secluded areas for couples to have romantic dinners. And just to find a little place to get away, grab a book or just be by yourself. I really enjoyed my stay at this resort. And would definitely recommend it, and I would definitely go back!

Disappointing Experience My husband and I recently stayed at Secrets Tides Punta Cana, and unfortunately, we left feeling pretty disappointed.! We definitely felt the welcome when we arrived very disappointing. - it’s like they weren’t expecting us. We had upgraded to preferred and when we checked in the walked us to the basic check in. We had to prove we had upgraded. We were super frustrated! Preferred got us a butler, - we definitely thought he would make our stay more personal and special. Unfortunately, we didn’t feel like we received the level of service we paid for. Many of the things our butler helped with were things we could have easily done ourselves through the resort app. There were a few thoughtful gestures, and I do appreciate those, but overall , I don’t feel the butler service was worth the additional cost to us. The food was another big disappointment. We found most of it to be pretty average. The buffet for breakfast has a lot of choice but I was concerned with how warm some of the food looked that should be kept cold. On our second day, i became very sick after eating at Barefoot on the beach. It really put a damper on the rest of our vacation. After that, we were honestly nervous about what we were eating. We met 3 others who also got sick the same day. Now for the positives. Our room was beautiful, modern and very clean. Housekeeping did a great job, and we thought the room service was excellent. The manager was also very good about listening to our concerns. Once we spoke with him . He made an effort to address the issues we were having. He offered us a complimentary $300 romantic dinner on the beach, which was a very nice gesture. Our butler also brought me a birthday cake the day after my birthday and put balloons in our room the day after our anniversary. Definitely a nice surprise. But even with those things, the overall experience just wasn’t what we expected For the amount of money we spent, we expected better food, better communication and a much more personalized level of service. We aren’t people who expect everything to be perfect when we travel. Things happen, and I understand that. But overall all , we wouldn’t recommend The Secrets Tides. Also be aware , they try to get you to attend a “Time Share” - which we had known about prior to our stay. So avoided that.

My wife and I stayed at Secrets Tides for our honeymoon and had a great time. Upon our arrival at the resort, Rube in Member services, made us felt at home and went over and above by upgrading our preferred room to one of the best rooms at the resort. After we thought it couldn't get any better, we met our butler, Luis Fermin, whose customer service and personality were extraordinary and by far surpassed all our expectations. He would consistently check on us throughout the day, whether we were at the beach, pool or in a restaurant, just to say hello and to inquire if we needed anything. He would make our dinner reservations on a daily basis and was always available if we needed him. I have stayed at many resorts, by Luis, by far was one of the best butlers I have had the opportunity to meet.

Beautiful resort with some of the best pools in the UVC. Plenty of pool bars and 3 preferred clubs! The beach, unfortunately, was not really useable dut to huge amount of sargassum seaweed. They worked hard to clean it up but there was just so much. Service, as always, was top notch. The restaurants were good but not as good as some in the UVC collection. I would give 5 stars but we had one bartender at the large preferred pool bar that was just an ass. We tried to avoid him when there were other bartenders working but not possible very often. Shout to Juan C. at that preferred pool bar!! He was very friendly, very speedy and took great care of everyone when he was there!
