Globales Don Pedro

You cannot fault the location and the view from the terrace. The rooms are comfortable. The staff are wonderful. The food is great. We really cannot fault it which is why we have been coming back for years.

We have just got back from 7 nights at Globales Don Pedro and really enjoyed our stay. The location and view was stunning, you couldn’t ask for a better location. We enjoyed seeing the goats come down from the mountains and the hundreds of fish in the sea. The staff were all very friendly, especially in the dining area. Breakfast was consistently excellent - especially the made to order omelettes. The rooms were tidied up nicely each day (beds made and towels changed) but no actual cleaning done. However, the hotel had a serious lack of allergy awareness. The signs and allergy icons on the food were few and far between and a lot of the time were not labelling the correct food (e.g pork loins labelled as chicken croquettes). I have a (non life threatening but would leave me incredibly unwell) nut and sesame allergy. Due to the lack of labelling I only went for food I knew would not have these allergens (chips, pasta, potatoes, steamed veg) and this was all very enjoyable. However, on our final night it was sushi and noodles night and once again there were no labels. Sushi and noodles often has sesame and or nuts in and there wasn’t chips or plain potatoes available. So I asked one of the chefs who stood by the sushi, does this have sesame in as I’m allergic (pointing at a specific piece of sushi) and he only said there were crispy onions and did not say yes or no to sesame. I did ask several times. So it seems allergens is not something the kitchen are aware enough of and the lack of labelling makes this clear. I was very disappointed as I then was unable to eat the dinner. My partner, with no allergies, did have the sushi and noodles and said they were very good. But something really needs to change in terms of the hotels allergy: training, awareness and labelling. Asides from the allergies the hotel was generally brilliant. There are a few things that need to be done including a lot of loose / removed tiles in the pool and unstable/dangerous umbrellas in the wind but mostly it was really good. I know a lot of my review appears negative but I want to state we did genuinely enjoy our stay and to anyone without allergies I would recommend going. If you have allergies I would suggest giving it a miss until their policies/awareness/understanding change. I would definitely go back once this has been resolved.

We had a fantastic three-night stay at Globales Don Pedro and would definitely recommend it if you’re looking for somewhere peaceful and relaxing. We originally booked a pool-view room but were very pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a sea-view room. The view was beautiful and really made our stay extra special. The hotel itself was lovely and clean, and all of the staff we encountered were extremely friendly and welcoming. The food was another real positive. Although, of course, not every dish was to my personal taste, the quality and choice were excellent. There was always plenty of food available, and staff were constantly restocking everything, so there was never any shortage. The entertainment was also a really pleasant surprise, as I wasn’t actually aware there was entertainment available when we booked. Over our three nights there were some excellent performances. One evening there was a violinist, which wasn’t quite to our taste, but it was still lovely to have entertainment available in the evenings. The location is absolutely beautiful, with the sea right there and two lovely beaches nearby. The water was gorgeous, although I would definitely recommend bringing water shoes as the rocks can be very slippery. We also absolutely loved the goats! 🐐 They were such a wonderful surprise and we enjoyed seeing them every evening. They were incredibly friendly and became a real highlight of our stay. There are a few things that could be improved. Around the pool, smoking is allowed and, as non-smokers, we sometimes found it unpleasant having to breathe in cigarette smoke while trying to relax. We also felt the pool area could have had a little more atmosphere — perhaps some background music during the day would have made it feel livelier. As this is an adults-only hotel, it is worth being aware that you will still hear children from the nearby public beaches, particularly during the day. This didn’t really bother us and obviously isn’t something the hotel can control. However, on a couple of occasions we noticed people who didn’t appear to be staying at the hotel entering the hotel complex from the beach and using the pool area. Staff did ask people to leave when they noticed them, so this isn’t something I would necessarily blame the hotel for, particularly as there are two public beaches directly accessible from the hotel. On one occasion, though, there was a large family group of around 15 people, including children, who appeared to bring their own table and chairs, food and drinks and set up a picnic outside our hotel room. On another occasion, a group of children came into the hotel complex and were playing around on the entertainment stage. As this is an adults-only hotel, we were quite surprised by this. It might be worth the hotel looking at how access from the beach is managed to make sure the adults-only environment is maintained. The surrounding area is very quiet, with only a few shops and a couple of local restaurants. There isn’t really any nightlife, so if you’re looking for bars, clubs and lots to do outside the hotel, this probably isn’t the destination for you. For us, though, that wasn’t a problem at all. We wanted a few peaceful, relaxing days away, and that’s exactly what we got. The beautiful location, friendly staff, cleanliness, food, entertainment and gorgeous sea views made for a lovely stay. We genuinely had a great time at Globales Don Pedro and would happily return for another relaxing break. Overall, a beautiful hotel in a stunning location and perfect for a peaceful few days away. 🌊☀️🐐

TUI HOLIDAY AT Globales Don Pedro CALA SAN VICENTE, Mallorca Power Outages, terrible food and unhelpful staff. AVOID we had two back to back days of power outages which was absolutely terrible. It meant no electricity, no WIFI, no power to the lifts, unable to order food and certain drinks at the bars. I spoke to the reception staff on the first day of the outages. They were rude and unhelpful. I asked to speak to the hotel manager to see if I could obtain some sort of timescale but was told she was unavailable and wouldn’t be able to help. I was told by one of the maintenance people that this was a common occurrence at this time of year and was heat related. The following morning the power came back on intermittently in the morning but was down again by 10am and then on/off all day. Off for most parts of the day and eventually came burning in the evening. As you can imagine the lift at the hotel was essential as it was four floors between the main lobby and the restaurant being on ground floor. I would also like to add that the food at the hotel was absolutely terrible apart from breakfast. We booked half board and only ate in the restaurant the first evening as it was so awful. The room was poor and needed updating along with the aircon which on full was completely useless. We use TUI for probably two holidays a year and this has been our worse ever experience to date over the last ten years. My wife never wants me to use TUI again but we have another holiday coming up in September. I have never had the reason to make a complaint like this before but feel that this hotel, amen and staff bring TUIs reputation down. All of the above I reported to the rep onsite who didn’t really seem bothered and said that the power outages were out of his control. TUI I did make a complaint to your dedicated team but received absolutely no response or from your CEO office. AWFUL

a good hotel in a lovely location, i wasn't impressed with the food so we ate out instead, the rooms were good and the beds were comfy.
