I have really struggled with how to approach this review. We had such a fantastic stay here last year that we decided to return, particularly because the hotel had catered so brilliantly for our daughter, who is coeliac and dairy-free. Unfortunately, the hotel has changed ownership since our last visit and there are some noticeable cutbacks, which have changed the overall experience and, in our opinion, made it feel more like a 3* than a 4* hotel. The biggest asset remains the staff. They work incredibly hard and the majority are friendly, helpful and genuinely keen to assist, always with a smile. Our comments are absolutely not a criticism of them. Our main disappointment was the restaurant and the cut backs in the handling of dietary requirements. Last year there was an app showing daily menus, including ingredients, a restaurant manager who showed us around the buffet each evening, and all dishes were clearly labelled with allergens. This year, no restaurant manager, no app and although dishes were labelled with allergens, the labels didn’t always match the dishes, which made us uncomfortable about what our daughter could safely eat. As a result, we relied on gluten-free pasta or pizza for her dinner every evening (which she did thoroughly enjoy). Lunch was even more limited, with very little choice beyond chips, rice, salad and fruit. One chef did kindly take us around the buffet, but there was still very little she could eat. At breakfast, we were given some lovely gluten-free pastries and cakes, which our daughter loved, but after waiting 45 minutes to speak to the chef, and with staff clearly very busy, we eventually gave up waiting to see if there were other options. There was also some confusion over ordering gluten-free pasta in advance. Reception told us it wasn’t necessary, only for the restaurant to tell us that evening, it should have been ordered in the morning. On the positive side, the hotel is spotlessly clean, there were always sunbeds available and the food was generally of a reasonable standard. The rosé wine was very good! The all-inclusive cocktails were quite frankly - vile - but this wasn’t a major issue for us. Our rooms were nice and well furnished but the bathrooms definitely needed updating. One other point: if requesting a street-facing room, be aware that our daughters were initially allocated an accessible room with no balcony, despite us not requesting an accessible room (my daughter does have a learning disability but she is completely mobile). We were told it was the luck of the draw - Reception did move them when we asked, so this was resolved. It is genuinely disappointing that our experience wasn’t as positive this year, particularly after such a great stay last year. Everything was resolved for us but it would have been lovely if there had been nothing to resolve! Based on this visit, I wouldn’t recommend the hotel for anyone with specific dietary requirements.

Fantastic week spent last week. The hotel is spotlessly clean, our rooms were lovely and the staff were all so friends and helpful. We paid the extra for the gold band and we couldn’t have been more pleased with the drinks. Lovely cocktails made to order, pink gin and a funny night drinking lots of tequila rose shots. Nice to have branded drinks too and the beer was lovely. Cocktails and soft drinks for kids. The food was superb, with different themes each night at dinner, including pizzas made fresh and were some of the best we’d eaten. The main buffet was lovely, especially if you like trying lots of different food and the salad bar and starter station was lovely. There’s always more plain food too, chips pastas with different sauces etc if that’s more your thing and gorgeous risottos. The puddings were gorgeous, with different cakes, tarts, mousses, a chocolate fountain a couple of nights and icecreams as well as fresh fruit. Lots of choice for vegetarians and having seen some people with allergies/intolerances, they’re very good at accommodating and cooking separate dishes. Lunch was always a lovely offering too and different to dinner and the snack bar offered burgers, hotdogs, chicken nuggets, battered broccoli, fish sticks, salad, breads and cakes. Breakfast was all hot and fresh, cooked breakfast or you could choose fresh pastries, yoghurts, fruits and meat/cheese selection. The entertainment team were brilliant with adults and kids, with water polo, aqua aerobics, volleyball and a kids club, then kids disco and fun entertainment in the evening. The acts brought in were fantastic as well as the games organised by the entertainment team. Bar staff were all friendly and gave a nice personal touch, never queued for more than about 2 minutes even in the middle of school holidays. The pools were lovely, we mainly used the big pool at the top and never struggled for 5 sun beds together. The spa was really lovely and well worth an hour or so in the morning. The beach was just over the road which we enjoyed lots of times and we also organised a boat trip from the marina (10 mins easy walk) and took a bus trip to aqua land near palma. Overall, would highly recommend and would go again.

After reading a few recent bad reviews I felt I had to write an honest review of our recent 9 night holiday! Left the hotel today. First a couple of negative points. On arrival at about 12pm we were told that both our rooms were ready but if we wanted them we’d have to pay for an early check in. Also, that if we wanted our wristbands we’d need to pay for those too or wait until 1pm. Of all the holidays we’ve been we have never known this to happen, the rooms yes but never a delay in even being able to get a drink. The staff on reception were lovely and friendly so it’s not a reflection on them at all, just the policy. We’ve stayed in 2 other Globales hotels where this didn’t apply! On to the positives. We had 2 rooms, 1 double in the main hotel and 1 apartment in the annexe opposite. Both rooms were spotlessly clean and well equipped. Food was excellent at every meal time, and different themes every night. All the staff in the restaurant were so friendly. We all made an effort to speak a bit of Spanish which is always appreciated. Special shout of to Moses who seemed to run the animation team on his own. It would have been good to have a bit more going on during the day poolside like games etc like on other hotels. Different entertainment at night with different singing acts which were fab! The token system for cups works well but we weren’t given them at check in so that caused confusion when we went to the bar! We had a fantastic holiday and don’t feel the hotel deserves the negative reviews, particularly when it comes to staff and cleanliness as everywhere was spotlessly clean and everyone was super friendly. I think they could do with some more staff and some more activities to make it even better!!

I honestly done know where to start. The one star goes to the reception manager as he helped and was super understanding. The room was hideous, like something from the 90s in need of a massive refurb. Strangely there was a window in the bathroom bedroom wall with a sheet of mesh for ‘privacy’ so if your sharing with someone who you don’t want to see you naked this hotel is not for you. The air con in the room was leaking and hair left in the bathroom from the previous guests. The door frame when entering the room had to be kicked back into place when opening the door as it caught on the door. The fridge was dirty, They wanted an extra 300 euros for a balcony not to be overlooking Shanty town, and an extra 20 euros if you arrive at the hotel before your check in time so you can have a drink etc. No warm welcome, rude check in staff and 4,50 euros a day to use the safe! The reception staff were grumpy and clearly didn’t want to be there. We sat in the pool area whilst waiting for our rooms, and I didn’t realise photos could be that deceiving! The pool was so small, no bigger than some UK garden ones! The bigger pool was slimy and massively overlooked. I can’t comment on the entertainment as we weren’t there long enough for this. The last straw for us was check in came at 3pm and our 2nd room still wasn’t ready and we were told we would just have to wait, it’s clear what happens, guests can pay a late check out for either 2pm or 4pm and they obviously just hope that the new guests don’t arrive early or on time. As I was told many times they were fully booked and there was no chance of being moved because of the state of the room. So we decided this hotel wasn’t for us, we left and stayed else where on the island, if you save all year for your holiday please don’t stay here, I wouldn’t have stayed if it was free.

Just got back from our week stay. Nice hotel and the food was nice and plenty to choose from only issue the foods not very hot. The cocktails where not on the all inclusive and the bar staff are rude. Nice location to beach would say this is a 3 star not 4
