The hotel fell way below my expectations. On arrival I was asked if I wanted to pay €10/night extra for a pool view room, which I declined, it turned out I got a pool view room anyway, so they were trying to charge me extra for no change!! Shocking. The buffet food provided was often cold, greasy and really low quality. Food labels were often incorrect, which puts those with food allergies at risk. The room was tired with cracks in tiles, rusting fittings and marks on walls. Even the bed sheets had some marks on them, which was disconcerting. My AC also had a small drip leak.

Reviews do not match the reality. Problems with cots and room on arrival, not ideal with a 4 month old baby. Food is dreadful - often mis labelled or not labelled. Serious hygiene issues with this + not ideal for vegetarian breastfeeding mothers. What we did eat was often cold. Drinks also poor, little choice, cocktails awful. Transfer was 2hrs not 55mins as advertised. Room was tiny and noisy outside. Entertainment dreadful. Location fine - spent more time and money getting taxis to Can Picafort than eating in hotel. No idea how reviews are so good. Ended up complaining to TUI due to reception staff failing to deal with our complaints seriously. Avoid this hotel at all costs.

Second visit to this Hotel in just over a year It has recently changed hands and I would be lying if I said I wasn’t worried by recent reviews after booking On arrival at the Airport our transfer failed to materialise and Jet2 had to arrange a taxi for us that still took one hour to get to the Hotel after a one hour delay at Palma Airport On arrival at the Hotel at 11pm the continental Cold Meat Buffet left out for us was just not to our taste sorry so was left untouched The food by and large was quite good better than the reviews I would say out of our nine evening meals there were only two nights that failed to hit the spot as there is usually always something you can eat They are very big on Pizza We stayed on the middle banding all inclusive breakfast lunch and dinner local Spanish drinks only no brands which was fine including water and soft drinks Lunch was always the best meal of the day very good and saved you hunting outside for toasties etc Would recommend the Rose wine and the Pepsi Zero both very refreshing They also have a Snack Bar that I wouldn’t recommend as food is left outside all day for self service to all inclusive customers in the heat They have a sister Hotel at the bottom of the road The Concorde where you can use the pool and gym but will be charged for food and drink We ventured down once but did not feel welcome and felt far more comfortable back in familiar surroundings where you can just go for a drink if required Our room looked tired and run down badly in need of a refit We had a pool and sea view which was stunning five floors up but only one lift was working throughout our stay but we needed to get our steps up in any case Our balcony door wasn’t working on arrival so needed to get repaired Our TV wasn’t working so needed replaced Our Coffee machine wasn’t working and was neither repaired or replaced despite being reported to Reception during our stay Poor form after paying £2500 for a 10 day stay just not what you expect tbh There was a €60 charge for a room safe non refundable ( robbery ) €10 charge each for towels refundable with a €1 each every time a replacement is required The Hotel is situated in a nice location near a beach handy for shops and bars with a nice 20-30 minute walk along the promenade to the centre of Can Picafort I cannot fault the Staff Reception Waiters Waitresses Bar Staff Cleaners and Animation team were all extremely friendly smiling and helpful with not always perfect English but enough to get by a bit like my Spanish but they were always pleased that I made the effort The pool area offers two pools with one an Olympic sized pool popular with cyclists joggers and competitive swimmers for training There is also an extremely good Spa and Sauna for relaxation no charge The pool area is quite big with no shortage of sun beds or umbrellas There was sometimes queues at the bar for drinks but this was usually down to staff shortage more than anything with only one person serving Evening entertainment was so so with mostly Bingo and Karaoke The Jackson’s on the last night was excellent with the best Michael Jackson impersonator we have ever seen Absolutely nailed it Children’s entertainment had ended for the season when we were there On checking out at 12 noon we were informed that we would not receive lunch and would have to pay to extend our room when we pointed out we had not received our full quotas of breakfast lunch and dinners for 10 days we had already paid for they agreed to charge us €10 each for lunch The same thing happened last year when it was the Caprice and they agreed to waive this charge as a courtesy as it is simply down to flight times which I appreciate is outwith anyone’s control

⭐ **AVOID – Absolutely ruined our anniversary** We booked the Globales Janeiro in Can Picafort through Jet2 and **paid extra for a double sea-view room** because we were celebrating a very special anniversary. Before travelling, I even contacted the hotel by email and paid in advance for a bottle of wine to be waiting in our room as a surprise for my partner. We were genuinely looking forward to our stay. What a mistake. When we arrived, we were told we had been “upgraded” to a so-called special apartment with an extra room. We were also told we would be given all-inclusive on the final day. **We did not want either of these things.** We had specifically paid for the room we had booked and simply wanted what we had paid for. We were then told the hotel was fully booked and that we **could not have the room we had paid for**. After travelling and being exhausted, we felt we had little choice but to accept the alternative. The “upgrade” was anything but an upgrade. The room was **dark, dirty and extremely disappointing**, situated above what appeared to be a supermarket-style shop. It was noisy, there were broken fittings, and plugs were coming away from the walls. And there was **NO LIFT to this apartment.** My husband has had a **knee replacement**, yet he was expected to get our suitcases up and down the stairs because this was the room we had supposedly been “upgraded” to. It wasn't just us either. We saw **prams being left at the bottom of the stairs because people couldn't get them up to the apartments**. How this could possibly be presented to guests as an “upgrade” is beyond us. An upgrade should improve your holiday — not leave someone recovering from a knee replacement struggling with luggage on stairs. And the anniversary surprise? **The wine wasn't even there.** After asking where the bottle we had already paid for was, a young member of staff eventually brought us a bottle with **two dirty glasses and no bottle opener**. Yes, you read that correctly. We took the glasses back to reception and were told that clean glasses and an opener would be sent up. At this point, the whole experience was becoming ridiculous. We contacted Jet2 and were told that compensation of **£40 per person** would be started for the room issue. Because our anniversary had effectively been ruined, the all-inclusive option was also offered. We didn't book all-inclusive because **we don't want all-inclusive holidays**. Having seen the food, we were even more pleased we hadn't paid for it. Breakfast was repetitive and the dining area felt like a **cattle market**, with an extremely crowded and chaotic atmosphere. Eventually, after complaints from multiple guests, a Jet2 representative came to the hotel. Only then did we finally get the room we had actually **paid for**, at around **4pm the following day**. Think about that: on a **six-day holiday**, we lost a huge amount of time dealing with this mess, making phone calls and trying to get the room we had booked in the first place. Then came the final insult. When we moved into our correct room, we were told that because we had accepted the **£40 per person compensation**, we would receive nothing further. So apparently £40 per person makes everything acceptable. It doesn't. This wasn't simply a minor inconvenience. This was our **anniversary holiday**, something we had planned, paid for and looked forward to. Instead, the hotel gave us a room we hadn't booked, called an unsuitable apartment an “upgrade”, put my husband in the position of having to carry luggage up and down stairs despite having had a knee replacement, failed to provide the anniversary surprise we had paid for, and left us spending a significant part of our holiday sorting out a problem that **wasn't of our making**. And judging by the number of other unhappy guests we encountered, we certainly weren't the only ones. **An upgrade should be an upgrade. A room should be clean and properly maintained. Something you have paid for should actually be provided. And guests celebrating a special occasion should not have their holiday turned into a battle with reception.** We work hard for our holidays and don't expect perfection, but we do expect to receive what we have paid for. **We would absolutely not book the Globales Janeiro again.**

I was really affraid when checked reviews before my holidays but it was super time, reviews were in contrary to what I saw. It is not big hotel. We had family apartment opposite main building. In the apartment everything what is needed. Close to the beach, in the nearest area some shops. In the hotel two pools. I would like to recognize two animators Moises and Michel. You are the best. My son loved you. You are dedicated to work and even it was not so many animations during the day as it was just you two it was super time. Food was very nice, do not believe that it was nothing to eat. I don't know who is saying that. Delicious pizza and deserts. Just two things to improve: drinks which are extremely sweet and swimming pool ladders should be renovated as quite dangerous. Please remember that if you will be very early you can't go to the restaurant before check in, in the afternoon. If there are rooms available you can ask for early check in which costs 20 EUR.
