We’ve just come back from a fantastic stay at HM Mar Blau and honestly, we would come back again. The restaurant staff were amazing. So friendly, helpful and always happy to explain how everything worked. We also saw them deal with a particularly rude guest while remaining so calm and professional, which really stood out to us. We stayed half board and thought the food was excellent. There were different themed nights and a really good choice of food. We also paid for the snack bar, which was definitely worth it. The portions were huge and the food was genuinely lovely. The lifeguards were brilliant, especially the female lifeguard. She was so kind and attentive and kept a really good eye on the pool. There were also balls available to borrow, which was a nice touch. The entertainment team were fantastic too. We didn’t get too involved ourselves, but they were brilliant with both adults and children and really put the effort in. The hotel itself was spotless. The cleaners never seemed to stop! Our room was cleaned really well and we had fresh towels every day. We stayed in room 4203, which had a huge balcony and a lovely pool view. We spent a few evenings sitting out there listening to the entertainment. The rooms also have a small kitchen area, which was really handy. Location-wise, the hotel does feel a little away from the main strip, but we actually enjoyed that. It’s a lovely walk into Cala Millor or Sa Coma, and there’s a land train stop right outside the hotel. It was €10 for all-day hop-on, hop-off and we’d definitely recommend going to Cala Bona in the late afternoon. Overall, we thought the hotel was really good value for money. Friendly staff, great food, spotless surroundings and plenty to do. We’d definitely come back! ❤️☀️ Two small things breakfast was hit and miss and the WiFi wasnt great around the pool. Very small issues.

We had a lovely holiday overall and really enjoyed our stay. The location was one of the biggest highlights, as there were two beaches nearby, making it easy to enjoy different beach areas during the holiday. There were also plenty of shops around, which was very convenient for picking up anything we needed or having a look around. Having a shop on site was also really useful and made things even more convenient. The food was really impressive, with plenty to enjoy throughout our stay. We were really happy with the options available and always managed to find something we liked. The pool area was another highlight of the holiday. It was a lovely place to relax, spend time in the sun and enjoy a swim. There were many activities throughout the week lead by the entertainment team which were fun and entertaining to watch. Our room was nice, clean and comfortable, we had no problems during our stay. Although the rooms could perhaps benefit from being modernised in the future, this did not affect our holiday at all and everything we needed was available. Overall, our room was perfectly fine and comfortable for our stay. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming, it was nice to be greeted by friendly staff who created a welcoming atmosphere throughout our holiday. We also enjoyed visiting the spa, which was a beautiful place with cool pool water. The only downside was that there seemed to be quite a few mosquitoes around the spa area, therefore we did receive several mosquito bites. I would recommend packing a bite cream even though the shop on site did sell bite cooling sprays and repellent. Being all-inclusive gave us full access to the restaurant, bar and snack bar which were open throughout different times of the day. This was super convenient as any time we needed something to eat or drink we were able to help ourselves. The bar also provides an environmental policy which allows you (if you would like to) to pay one euro for a plastic cup and once you return the cup, you get your euro back. This was a really good idea as rubbish and waste was not left around the pool. Overall, we had a very enjoyable holiday and are very disappointed to be home! The amazing food, excellent location near two beaches, plenty of nearby shops, convenient on-site shop, lovely pool, comfortable rooms and friendly staff all helped make the stay unforgettable. We would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing break in a convenient location with plenty nearby to see and do.

We booked this hotel almost a year ago and the reviews were generally positive. Once we'd decided and booked we didn't re-visit any reviews for further updates so when we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised. This hotel is a four block complex with a large bar, restaurant and pool areas. We were really surprised at the size of the room we had been allocated. It was described as a one bedroom apartment which, on previous holidays, has meant one room with four sleeping spaces and a bathroom. We actually had a separate bedroom, cooking facilities, lounge area (with sofa beds) and a small dining area. We were staying All-Inclusive but would definitely consider Self Catering if we could secure a room like this, again. Everywhere was relatively clean and well looked after, daily cleaning of the room was carried out although they did appear early (pre 08.00) on a couple of days. The only thing I really didn't like (and, to be fair, I missed the hotel description where it DID identify that it was charged locally) was having to pay to use the in-room safe. It's been a long, long time since I had to pay a deposit for a key and a daily charge to use it. In my experience, in-room safes are usually digital and free. I think this is something that could be considered by the management. The pool area was busy and people were putting towels out in the morning, however, I used to stroll down about 09.00 (pool opened at 10.00) and always managed to secure some beds. Not ideal but certainly no-one was queuing at 06.30 to secure a bed. If you don't secure a bed there are plenty of bar chairs that can pressed into service as temporary sun seats. The food - whether it was in the restaurant or from the bar (which you have to pay for if you are AI) - was good with absolutely no complaints or concerns from our party. Portion sizes of the meals from the bar were large and very filling so a well timed mid afternoon meal might well have covered both lunch and tea. There is an onsite shop which sold lots of stuff (a mini supermarket, in effect) and I think that most Self Catering basics were available - for anything that wasn't then there are larger supermarkets within a ten minute stroll. Beaches exist in two different directions - towards Cala Millor and towards Sa Coma. We preferred the stroll towards Sa Coma for the availability of bars and restaurants and what looked like a nicer beach but there is a long promenade to walk if you go towards Cala Millor - each to their own. Maybe the one area that could be improved upon was the evening entertainment - there were events each night and they were clearly publicised but, some of the acts that performed, were a little bit of a let down (I'm comparing to a similar holiday last year on a different part of the island). Having said that, it didn't stop us going down most evenings and having a nice relaxing drink. We had a lovely stay, all the staff were approachable and friendly as well as being helpful. We would definitely consider returning to this hotel. For info - a taxi transfer from the airport takes approx 50-55 minutes and costs c€95 each way.
