What a fantastic hotel! We’re just back from a family holiday at Ciudad Blanca and loved it! We’re were worried that the rooms would be dated but they were spacious, spotlessly clean and quiet at night. The walls are woodchip and could do with a makeover, but they are perfectly fine. My only negative is the rubbish hairdryer which didn’t blow out any air! Take your own!! The pools are fab! The main pool has music, entertainment all day and a generally good vibe. It’s a good depth for kids. The other pool is quieter and deeper. And there’s the pool with slides for little ones. The hotel was full of young families so if you don’t like screaming kids, it’s probably not for you. We enjoyed the evening entertainment. The rock band, pop singers, and acts by the entertainment team were great. The pool party on our last night was crazy but brilliant! The guy singing was incredible and my boys loved being in the pool at night! What an atmosphere! We also loved doing the club dance each night and are continuing to do the dance in the kitchen at home!! The food was very good. Some was repetitive, which is always the case when you’re all inclusive, but they had different additions each night. The pizzas were delicious and the puddings were pretty good compared to what we’ve previously experienced in Spanish buffets. My son has a milk allergy and struggled a bit, especially at breakfast. The chefs were great and made him pancakes and sorbet when we asked, but it would help if we didn’t have to ask. It would help if they had a tub of vegan ice cream to serve, instead of having to make it from scratch each time. The drinks were great and proper spirits. Cocktails very good! The self service water machines and drinks stations are brilliant, so you don’t have to wait at the bar. The hotel is on a beautiful beach. You step outside the back door straight on to the sandy beach. The water is turquoise and shallow for very far out, so great for kids. We didn’t use the pedalos etc but we did hire paddleboards from the hotel one morning (desk beside the door to the beach). They were 15 euros for an hour I think. Very reasonable and great fun in the morning when the sea is flat! Thank you for a brilliant holiday Ciudad Blanca! We’d definitely recommend this hotel!
Had a really good time at the iberostar. Food was brilliant and the staff was excellent. A special mention to Leti, who cleaned our room everyday. She was always so happy and brilliant with my kids....she's a real credit to the hotel! Place is always clean and gardens well maintained...
We’ve just returned from a fantastic stay and honestly couldn’t fault it. The hotel and rooms were spotlessly clean, and all of the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful. The welcome we received was amazing – being greeted with champagne on arrival was such a lovely touch and set the tone for the holiday! There was a great selection of food and drinks on the all-inclusive, with plenty of choice throughout our stay. The entertainment was brilliant too, and you could see just how hard all of the staff worked to make sure everyone was having a great time. The location is perfect, right on the beach, which made it even better. A huge thank you to all the staff for making our holiday so enjoyable. We had a brilliant time and would definitely come back!
I would definitely go back. We just got back from an amazing family holiday. The food was spectacular, the entertainment was great, atmosphere around the hotel was lovely. The rooms were cleaned and the cleaners even set up my son’s teddies so nicely on the bed and left a fresh flower everyday. The only thing is the rooms are a little dated but are in the process of updating them all. The beds were super comfortable which is a must after a long day by the pool.
I’m quite torn about my experience with this hotel. On the one hand, the staff are helpful, hardworking, and clearly have a strong willingness to assist guests. The entertainment team is also excellent. However, the hotel itself is urgently in need of renovation. We stayed in a sea-view room, and honestly, the mattresses on all the beds were terrible. Everything felt very old and heavily worn, with countless signs of use, to the point of looking rather dated and, at times, even tacky. That said, we have no complaints about the cleanliness of the room — it was good. The beach directly behind the hotel, with access from the back of the property, is absolutely amazing and is definitely the hotel’s strongest point. Unfortunately, the all-inclusive food left a lot to be desired. After 12 days, we were completely fed up with the feeling that everything was more or less the same. There was very little creativity or variety, and at times we even had the impression that some dishes were being reused or repurposed. As for the cleanliness of the common areas, the pool itself was generally clean, but the designated areas where used cups and plates are left were constantly overflowing. The same applied to the small bins available on each floor. The plastic cups at the pool honestly made me quite uncomfortable. I saw cups with lipstick marks among the supposedly “clean” ones. They were also constantly wet, which I found quite unpleasant and unhygienic. There are also not enough sun loungers around the pool for everyone, and there seem to be no rules regarding their use. I saw families taking four or five loungers at once, even before the pool had officially opened, leaving other families without anywhere to sit. On my second-to-last day, I went to watch the Frozen show with my daughter and ordered a pineapple juice. The juice they served was warm and honestly awful. On another day, my son was also served warm apple juice. I found this a complete lack of consideration for guests. I didn’t even bother going back to ask for ice because, given how hot the weather was, serving cold drinks should really be common sense. I also missed having somewhere to get a coffee closer to the guest rooms. Everything seemed to be quite far away, which was inconvenient, especially with children. Would I come back? Definitely not. If I had known beforehand that the hotel would be like this, I would have made a different choice. I hope this review can be taken as constructive feedback and as an opportunity for the hotel management to make improvements. I am writing this review not only as a guest, but also as someone with a professional background and education in Tourism. For that reason, I believe I have a particularly critical eye when it comes to hospitality standards and the overall guest experience.
