Overall, the hotel is good. The staff have been wonderful, and I would especially like to highlight the kind and attentive service provided by Angela, Ronald, and Karina. However, I am very disappointed because I booked my room in January, seven months in advance, and nowhere on the website did it explain that the studios only have views facing either the street or an interior garden that directly overlooks the loading and unloading area. Unfortunately, this was the room we were given, so we could see and hear supply trucks coming and going, as well as rubbish being collected, even in the middle of the night. We were very kindly offered a room change on the third day, once one became available, but the new room was on a lower floor and faced the street. There are not many rooms with sea or pool views, and all of those are apartments. On the other hand, the bathroom needs updating and better maintenance. The kids’ club was wonderful for our daughter, and Angela was absolutely lovely. However, the kids’ club is closed on the entertainer’s day off, as there is only one member of staff running it, even during the peak season.

This is an excellent aparthotel with on site facilities and exceptionally professional and friendly staff. The apartments are clean, well maintained and are appointed for basic food preparation. The location is excellent with fabulous beaches, snorkelling coves and nearby shops and restaurants. The marina is a reasonable walk through the town, but entirely accessible.

5-star experience 🌟. The staff were always attentive from the very first minute. The room was like something out of a movie. The facilities were perfect, super clean, and very well organized. A special thank you to the manager, Ms. Vicenta, for her personalized service; we felt right at home. 🏠 We recommend it for families, couples, and friends. We stayed at Guya Playa for a week in early May. The season had just begun and my partner got a last minute deal to surprise me for my birthday, and saved a fortune. She requested a sea view room and the hotel did not let us down, giving us the best room in the whole complex. See photos for the belting view from room 356. The bed was firm and comfortable, with spare blankets which we did need at night this early in the season. We had a complimentary bottle of water provided, shampoo and body wash and a soap bar. They also provide some cotton buds, which is a nice touch. Everyone’s ears get sandy on holiday and no one remembers to bring cotton buds. During our stay the drain in the bathroom really began to whiff. The hotel manager was in the room within the hour of us mentioning this, and had the cleaners spray some strong stuff down there which did help the problem. The smell came back a couple of times but the cleaners kept on top of it. Apparently the drains in the street had been flushed that week, so ours may not have been the only room affected by this, but it wasn’t the hotels fault. We used the Gym and the Spa/steam room a few times during our stay, this was great for us! I should also mention the hotel is in the quietest part of Cala Ratjada, with the busy strip a nice 15 minute walk away. This meant it was very quiet and peaceful - great for sleeping. Many a holiday we’ve been let down by tourist bars playing Sweet Caroline on repeat when we’ve been trying to sleep, but there’s no problem like that at Guya Playa. The staff at the hotel were super friendly, couldn’t help us enough and really quick to sort out problems. We would love to stay here again.

Couldn't believe our luck with this hotel, it was absolutely brilliant. We've never stayed in a hotel resort before or gone on a jet 2 holiday but it was the cheapest option since we last went abroad in 2018 and we have a three year old now so needed ease and reliability. And this place was perfect. We arrived super late (2am) and at first we were pretty dubious as the jet 2 transfer coach dropped us off on the main rd so initially we couldn't find the hotel entrance down the side street. But that was the only hiccup and had nothing to do with the hotel. We woke up to discover we had the best view from our balcony; a sea view overlooking the back cove. We had room 130 on the ground floor and I'd definitely recommend this room and further down the corridor. We paid extra for an apartment room as there were three of us. We had everything we needed; towels, pool towels, pans, sieve, loads of plates/bowls/etc. The room was cleaned every day by fab housekeepers and new towels were provided if needed. The hotel itself was super chilled and quiet, the pools were gorgeous and we had them pretty much to ourselves most of the time. The other guests were a mix of families, retired people and couples. They do a great mojito at the bar and we only once at their restaurant, which was good. They do food themes every day. And there's a kids clubs some days but we were too busy swimming on the beach to go. Speaking of which to get to the beach you just exit by the pool entrance and walk along the path to the left, the beach is about a 10 minutes walk along a gorgeous coastal path. Really flat, so if you have a pram or wheelchair you'll be fine - although to get to that path there's a few steps from the pool area but there's another entrance around the front so you should be fine. The beach itself is beautiful. Long sandy beach with clear blue sea. The first day we were there it was very windy so not great for little ones as inflatables weren't allowed - there's lifeguards and they taped off dangerous areas. But the rest of the week was brilliant. We always headed further down the beach mainly because we had no choice. Everyday it was busy, jam packed, which usually I'd hate but it was fine and we always found a good spot. We hired a pedalo with a slide twice which I'd recommend. It was 20 euros for an hour and we had the best time. In terms of the area, it was quiet but we liked that. Lots of restaurants, little beach shops selling inflatables, sandals, tourist stuff. Theres a great bar/restaurant/cafe just across the cove our balcony looked over. It's right on the sea and we booked a table one night and had delicious fresh fish and vegetables. I loved that cove and swam in it most mornings. We mainly spent our days swimming in the pool and then the beach. One day we caught a bus to Alcudia, reception was great with help and directions. The bus stop is about 10 mins away, goes once every hour and takes over an hour to get there. It was a nice change. But Alcudia was very busy and touristy compared to cala ratjada. The old town was beautiful though. And as we were self catering the reception recommended a supermarket 10 mins away which was great and we got everything there. Overall, we had a wonderful time and we'd love to go back.
