Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit

Lovely place with great service!

Friendly and welcoming from moment we stepped in until check out. Everyone greets you and the staff were attentive at breakfast, reception and when we went up to the spectrum sky bar. Our room was clean and we liked the note by our cleaner and knew her name so it became personalised. We had many personal touches. We stayed there as part of the hyrox Hyatt partnership and we had some little gifts each night we started to helped my husband rest before the race. We even had a Mother’s Day cake left for us. A few days prior to the race we went on an early tour and requested a breakfast box, which was so filling and delicious. It consisted of fruit, pastries, omelette sandwich, yoghurt and juice. We had to leave some in the fridge to snack on for another day. It set us up perfectly for our day trip to the floating market. Our favourite spot in the hotel was the spectrum bar which we booked pre drinks and a buffet dinner on our last night. The view was stunning, the meal was spectacular and the entertainment was enjoyable. We were sat next to live singer and live music which we also loved. The atmosphere with the live music was quiet and had a good ambience. The music had a jazz like feel consisting of new to old songs which everyone could enjoy. This music helped us to unwind after a busy day. Our favourite moment from the spectrum bar was the view from our pre dinner table. It was stunning. I would recommend staying here in Bangkok as it’s easy to get around from the hotel, there’s a few places to eat around there too and if you’ve forgotten anything from home, you can easily find it as there’s loads of shops nearby and a mall called Terminal21. I would recommend getting the metro or sky train everywhere.

Had a great chat with Papang, a barista at the lobby’s 5-star hotel coffee bar. She shared some expert tips on making the best coffee, and her advice completely upgraded my morning routine at home!

The location is great and the service is great. Delicious breakfast. The entrance is a bit confusing but all good.

The conditions of the room were subpar, it was generally clean but areas which required maintenance seemed to be overlooked. My bathtub started leaking in the middle of the night and flooded my entire bathroom causing me to lose quite a bit of sleep. I had an evening flight the following day so I ended up having to pay for an extra half day just so i could get some rest. No apology was extended upon check out, they did not seem to have prepared any service recovery actions.
