We had such an amazing time at the Khao Lak bandari resort. It’s a beautiful hotel with an Indonesian style feel to it, built on ponds, containing all kinds of fish. A really pretty place. It has the family part in the Bandari and Oriental side, specifically for adults. So it’s good for all ages. The hotel has a few bars and a couple of restaurants, one of which is used for a buffet style breakfast. The food and drink is good quality and tasty. The prices are very reasonable, although wine being imported is quite expensive. The rooms are very spacious and well maintained by a great team of housekeepers. They also have several pools surrounding the entire hotel. You do occasionally see the odd lizard and local wildlife, which seem chilled and harmless (adds to the tranquility and atmosphere of this wonderful country). The hotel is in the heart of Khao Lak, near the McDonald’s and within walking distance to lots of different restaurants, souvenir shops and bars. It’s a couple of miles to the night market, which we loved! There’s also many places you can book excursions to within the town, which are affordable. You can visit surrounding islands, elephant sanctuary’s, Khao Sok national park and an hour drive to Phuket. We only booked bed and breakfast as there’s so much you can experience here and we didn’t spend full days in the hotel, although it’s so lovely to relax in. We did want give a special mention to Tong, Suzy, Honey, Bowling and Smelle, as they have all been wonderful for the 2 weeks we spent here. You truly contributed to making our first visit to Thailand a very memorable one. We’ll definitely be coming back soon ☺️

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel, and I highly recommend it, with complete confidence. First of all, the establishment is impeccable: the rooms are clean, well-maintained, and you can tell that nothing is left to chance when it comes to hygiene and comfort. The service is absolutely perfect, on every level. A big thank you in particular to Kwan, who gave us an exceptional welcome from the moment we arrived. She is extremely kind, always smiling, available, and attentive to our every request. It's a real stroke of luck to come across such a warm and welcoming person. But beyond Kwan, the entire hotel team deserves praise: everyone is thoughtful, attentive, and does everything possible to make sure the stay goes as smoothly as possible. You can feel real cohesion and genuine attention to detail in the service provided. We will keep an unforgettable memory of this stay and hope to come back very soon. Location was good, position off the main strip just across the road from the beach and a peaceful serene atmosphere, with almost no noise at all. Rooms as described - beautiful Thai style bungalows, with basic needs all catered for aswell as the must have a/c, rooms were cleaned on a daily and the complex its self was always clean. Pool area was kept clean, with hardly anyone about most days (we were here low season). We had breakfast (included) everyday and there was a fantastic selection to cater for all nationalities, we ate at the on-site restaurant (Le Siam) and food was fantastic, we also ate daily in the pool bar/restaurant (Lotus) which had a good selection of food and beverages available - never had a poor meal here. Special mention to Suzy who was an absolute delight and looked after us for our stay here, all the staff were polite, friendly and smiley ☺️
