Sunwing Resort Kamala Beach

The hotel is amazing staff were attentive.pools were good, we played volleyball and on the slides.my teenage grandsons loved it. The beach is a stones throw away, shame there was so much plastic, staff did try to keep it clean. The breakfast was good had bacon, lots of breads for toast, cereals and other options of eggs. Restaurant by the pool did a fab pizza. Swim up bar for ice lollys. No entertainment and nothing to do at night, even local. We went out to a restaurant called Taste about 20min walk it was very nice. Mango Market was mon and Thursdays 3pm -10pm. Room was fab loads of room we had 515. TV, microwave, toaster, fridge, sink even gatve us sponge and washing up liquid. We got a free fruit bowl filled, crisps, crackers, coke, 7up, beer and wine. Water was complimentary every day. Goodie bag in the bathroom with everything you need. Towels complimentary by the pool.

We stayed as family in Sunwing for 5 days and it is very nice. The staff is very hospitable. The resort manager Renelyn is expectional to ensure guests have good time there. My kids loved the kids club and teens club. The staff in kids club is very nice and polite with kids. There are many pools and my kids loved the water slides. We took beach facing Villa and the beach view was excellent. Hotel location is amazing. Breakfast spread should improve. All in all, excellent place to stay with family.

Our stay at Sunwing Kamala Beach was truly exceptional—a wonderful experience that felt comfortable, thoughtful, and genuinely family-friendly from the very beginning. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and beautifully maintained, with clean and well-kept bathrooms. What we particularly loved were the lovely views from our balcony—simply sitting there and watching the ever-changing clouds and open skies was a pleasure in itself. As a kid-friendly resort, Sunwing has clearly thought of everything. From dedicated kids’ meals and a fantastic children’s pool with slides to the overall family-oriented atmosphere, every little detail seemed designed to make travelling with children easier and more enjoyable. The location is another major highlight. The resort sits right on the edge of beautiful Kamala Beach, while just outside you have virtually everything you might need—7-Eleven stores, massage centres, restaurants, cafés, and local conveniences, all within easy walking distance. For families, especially those travelling with young children, we would highly recommend Kamala over the much more crowded Patong area. And if you do want to enjoy Patong’s nightlife, it is still very accessible by Grab, or by walking to the main road and taking a shuttle. Overall, Sunwing Kamala Beach gave us exactly what we wanted from a family holiday—space, cleanliness, beautiful surroundings, convenience, and a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. A heartfelt recommendation for families looking for a comfortable and memorable stay in Phuket. We would happily return! ❤️

We had a fantastic 10-night stay at Sunwing Kamala Beach and would definitely recommend it for families. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, friendly, and always happy to help, creating a really welcoming atmosphere throughout our stay. The resort is very family-focused, with plenty of pools, water slides, and activities to keep the kids entertained all day. It is just a short walk to the beach with lots of restaurants, cafés, shops, and a 7-Eleven all within walking distance, so there was no shortage of places to eat or explore. The only thing to be aware of is that many of Phuket's main attractions are on the other side of the island, so day trips and excursions can involve a bit of travelling but we used Bolt taxi app in Phuke to easy book and pay for large Van taxis for our big group. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, making it the perfect place to relax after a busy day. The resort is around 40 minutes from the airport, which made transfers easy. Overall, we had a wonderful family holiday, and Sunwing Kamala Beach offered a great combination of comfort, convenience, and entertainment. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
