Disappointing stay — impossible to get a good night’s sleep Unfortunately, my stay at the Mövenpick Sousse was extremely disappointing, particularly for anyone travelling for business or who needs a good night’s sleep. The biggest issue was the extremely loud music from the neighbouring nightclub, which continued throughout the night. The bass was so loud that you could actually feel it shaking the hotel. It was impossible to sleep properly, making the hotel completely unsuitable for business travel or anyone needing to be rested the following day. This is not just occasional noise — the constant, heavy bass throughout the night was genuinely disruptive. Parking is another major problem. Spaces are extremely limited and the parking arrangements felt chaotic, making it difficult to find a space and adding unnecessary stress on arrival. Breakfast was also disappointing. Several plates and cups did not appear to be properly clean, while finding cutlery was surprisingly difficult. The boiled eggs were another concern — the eggs I encountered were only partially cooked, with the egg whites still runny. Overall, I expected a much higher standard from a Mövenpick hotel. The location may be attractive, but the combination of all-night nightclub noise, inadequate parking and poor breakfast service made this a very uncomfortable stay. If you are travelling for business or, like me, value a decent night's sleep, I would strongly recommend checking the noise situation before booking.

Mouhyb is an excellent waiter. He is very kind, friendly and helpful. He always comes over to check if we need anything and makes sure everything is okay. We really appreciate his service!

Is this is a 5* hotel? Very clearly no might scrape a 4...probably more realistically 3. (I know the grading system is more based on facilities). Let me expalin why We don't usually go big on hotels. We usually stay in hostels or cheap privates and yet even we were underwhelmed with the service at times. There are a lot of things advertised that no longer exists. The bar that is part of reception(Taupo?) and serves the outside terrace is tragically slow and the staff often abruot and even rude. We arrived very late at night and weren't offered any sort of welcome drink/food. 5 star service? No ice creams poolside(they were advertised) although with great effort Carmel(legend of a barmen) found us one when we asked. The service around the pool especially from Carmel and Mehadi (recreation/lifeguard) was brilliant and probqbly saved our trip. The pool area is nice. Service in restaurant was good for some people although staff very motivated by tips rather than just good service. We were treated well; you coukd tell others weren't. The food was also very good. The new beach bar is wasted at night and the guy running the bar at night treated the barmen awfully in front of guests and table service was slow. The whole mood at the bar at night was weird. It should be lovely but life is sucked out of it. I did make a complaint about this and assume it was dealt with. The concierge were very friendly and helpful. One morning I tried to get bottled water for our day trip to El Jem and had to ask at three different places(breakfast hall, Tapuo bar and reception) before finding the cleaners myself, who had some. The cleaners were very friendly but the rooms weren't particularly well cleaned. I think there are far too many rooms for the number of cleaners there. Again not 5 star. The TV (not a major part of our holiday) didn't work until I asked for it to be fixed. It isn't a smart tv but has a box plugged. IPTv worked when engineer csme to fix but nothing else. 5 star? Just get Smart tvs! It is 2026. The room in general is more like a basic chain hotel. Chocolate hour is a nice idea however staffing it with more than one person would mean the poor woman didn't have to go and restock and have 7 people queuing waiting to be served. We went to the spa on the last day. (Need to pay extra). That was a great experience and staff were very attementive . Speaking to other guests, they felt the same and there was very little( or anything) for kids to do at night. On the whole, we had to massively adjust expectations of the service for our holiday. If you are used to high end service, avoid. If you are paying more than you usually would, you won't get what you want here. If you want all inclusive and are happy to tip well, you will get decent service for parts of your stay but poor service at other times. It is a shame because some staff were brilliant and the overall management of the hotel seems to be poor and communication isn't great.
