Asteria Family Resort Side

Hotel was about 2 hours in a private transfer from the airport. It’s a lovely space with the chalet style rooms and little pathways everywhere. There’s a few pools to choose from and some more chilled than others. Our room was lovely. Tv, kettle, hair dryer, shampoo and body wash provided, safe in the room and a little balcony. We were ground floor right next to the main restaurant. For me the food was not great, there were chips and pasta and nuggets which was great for my 6 year old. My husband will eat absolutely anything but I struggled with the food selection in the main restaurant and mainly ate cheese salads. The beach bar and pool bar were much more for me with much better choice of food. Drinks were fab even the alcohol was good. The al a carte meal we had was Turkish and I have to say it wasn’t great at all. I expected more flavour from the food. I didn’t spend much time down the beach as not a beach person. Hubby and son had a fab time down there. Highlight for the little one was the light up electric bikes and cars they had going each night. €10 a go so was expensive after the week. Slides also were fun for him. We didn’t go to many shows as other guests had advised they weren’t fantastic but did see a great firework display from a neighbouring hotel. There are loads of cats on the site and plenty of kittens but they aren’t trying to get in your room or eat your food so no bother. Biggest issue for me is on site photo opportunities. Man came with a monkey in a collar and a lead and put the monkey in my sons arms whilst he was stood by the pool and the monkey panicked and clawed its way up my sons front and face. Not a great experience and also not keen on seeing a monkey that way.

A great experience, a beautiful place, a cheerful time, a very friendly and always available staff for anything, especially the reception boy, Bora. Always kind and helpful. Would totally recommend, clean rooms, wide variety of food and drinks etc

We had a lovely family holiday at Asteria Family Resort Side. The pools, food, and entertainment were great, and our children had an amazing time. The downside was that my son ended up with three cuts on his bottom after using one of the water slides. It would be good if the slides could be checked and maintained regularly to help prevent this happening to other children. The communication at the reception was also poor when i was trying to pay for a late checkout i went to the reception 3 times until a lovely receptionist helped me and the manager was there to approve my request. Just took me from 6am to 11am with two kids trying to chase this up. Overall, we still enjoyed our stay and appreciated the hard work of the staff. Hopefully this issue can be addressed.

We stayed 11 nights in this resort and had an amazing Executive suite room in the Asteria Family Resort Side which made our experience very enjoyable. This room was very comfortable for my mom and me. I highly recommend to book the suites when coming to this resort. It is very spacious with all the amenities including a living room and clean. In the resort, you can enjoy one main restaurant with several local food options and a variety of desserts. There are a lot of snack bars available at the resort. The animations throughout the day and night are also an advantage to feel occupied everyday. The resort is very large so you can enjoy a walk around the gardens, it doesn't feel like a big resort.

Currently staying here. Whilst the pools are OK and food good I wouldn't stay again. Everything geared towards Russian clientele. Tour operator barely raised their head when I tried to book a tour and instead just went on her phone whilst i sat there wondering what was happening so I just walked off after 10minutes. Staff barely muster a smile. Kids club mainly in Russian. Lifeguards (if there are any) are on their phones with earphones in and wouldn't have a clue if child drowning, lots of places in kids pool where the backs of slides come apart so kids may swim inside (so dangerous), rooms are pretty outdated and depressing with barely any artwork/pictures, only one main bar and the queue can get quite big. Plus side, the food variety was large, always snacks or cakes available, water in room always topped up, didn't have to fight for space by kids pool for sunbed.
