Eftalia Marin

We spent two weeks at Eftalia Marin Hotel. On first impressions the hotel is beautiful check in went quickly as we arrived at 3am in the morning. We had a family room with two bedrooms and two balconies and was quite spacious for the five of us rooms where standard but clean. We did enjoy are holiday however would not return to this hotel. Given the high price tag on this hotel it doesn't reflect what you pay for it's an all inclusive were you have to pay for everything. On top of what we had spent to get there we spent another couple of thousand while in this hotel. Down sides to this hotel were: Drink- only one beer, vodka, brandy, wine, whiskey and gin that's it for all inclusive you pay for everything else. They measure every drink and the bar staff do not like it and take offence when you ask for a double. The red and rose wine is undrinkable the worst I've ever seen the white wine is just about tolerable. The majority of the bar staff are rude and you feel uncomfortable going up to get drinks. No bar at the evening entertainment even though there is a bar right beside it it's never opened. Bottled beer is given out for an hour at night supposedly at 11 pm but it's whenever the bar staff decide they want to give it out and who they want to give it out to yet again if you ask for it they make you feel so uncomfortable. The food is lovely we couldn't complain there is plenty and you will find something the only thing my children wouldn't eat was the chicken Nuggets or the chicken burgers they really didn't like them they did however enjoy the fries chicken that was on the beach. Bugerland is lovely during the day fresh made pizzas always warm and the food here is decent also. States 24 hrs but nothing fresh pizzas and diner kebabs stop at 6.30pm so you will only get left over stuff laying for hours if there is anything left so really not 24 hrs. Pool is ok no slides and I thought there was when I booked but after 30 minutes of booking realised this hotel had none tried to change it with on the beach and they point blank refused to do it the cheaper hotels have slides. Tried to upgrade to be told it would be another 1000 euros for the two weeks quite extreme given what we had already paid. Pool was closed several times during the two week stay with poo in pool it was then closed for hours at a time states pools opened til 7pm but closed at 6pm. Lovely man around the pool who is so helpful getting you sunbeds and umbrellas if none are free he works so hard and is always friendly. One barman in the poolside bar who is also lovely and nothing was ever a problem to him the young barman are extremely rude. Beach slides and pools are lovely and my kids enjoyed themselves and the food court really busy but food is nicer. Hotel is constantly being cleaned and never dirty the cleaning staff work tiredlessly. The cleaner for are room cleaned everyday with new towels and sheets we did tip her on a few occasions she then made stuff with towels for the children which was lovely however that stopped if a few days had gone by and she received no tips. We were going to leave one final tip on the day we left but I think the cleaner thought we should have left it the day before so that even she left us with one full towk to dry 5 people and not enough sheets for the beds which I was extremely disappointed about as we were leaving yet another tip on the last day but she obviously couldn't wait. What really let's this hotel down is the reception staff there is one girl and the face on her if you ask her anything at all she has a real attitude on her I wouldn't mind but there not run off there feet. There is also another older man who really for front of house needs to be retrained in customer service. On the day we were leaving I phoned down asked the girl for a late checkout was not told it needs to be paid upfront and at 2pm when we returned to shower this other man abruptly telephoned the room and told us to get out we hadn't asked for the late checkout my husband explained that we did he said I don't care get out the maids need to clean now this only seemed to be a problem when the maid saw us go back into the room at 2 we then had to rush to get out my hair was still wet from the shower. When we went down to reception we explained again and the girl was at the desk and I advised her that it was her I spoke to and she said you never paid I advised that she hasn't asked me to pay and was extremely cheeky and a disgusting attitude I did get annoyed with her and she was offended at that and started giving off to me and the other man had to tell her to go back. I advised him that surely the bill is settled at the end and that's what we thought we were not asked for the money or we would have gone down and paid it. This was an absolutely awful way to end are holiday. We also paid for cocktails at the bar which cost 10 euro each which were the worst cocktails ever. Overall what I feel is the biggest issue with this hotel is it doesn't realise it's all inclusive they want you to pay for everything we paid for three ice creams on the beach which cost £33. Given the cost of the hotel it's not worth it when you have to pay for everything and they expect then on topped to be tipped and if you don't be totally rude. Tip boxes everywhere you pay for absolutely everything you think once you have paid such a high cost to get there you wouldn't spend that much but we really did have to. Overall the pricetag that comes with these chain of hotels are not worth it we work really hard to go on holidays and I feel that when we were there they just expect you to have all this excess money to have over to them everyday in tipping. Maybe the hotel needs to look at paying the properly and not expecting guests to keep paying them after they arrive and if you don't you are given bad service. One evening we were on are balcony and two of the staff where out the back punching the head off one another not a great sight for guests. Overall this hotel needs to look at there bar staff that don't want to serve drink and remind them there not there to m me guests feel uncomfortable and that's how I felt when I went to get a drink. The reception staff should be retrained in what customer service is and this paying up front should be advised to customers. The hotels price tag is too high for what you get when you are there.

Amazing Stay I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The rooms were clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the service was excellent. The location was also perfect and made everything very convenient. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great experience!

What an incredible hotel. From the minute we arrived its been a pleasure. The service, the staff, the facilities, even the food We have had a great time. They even went out of their way to celebrate my son's birthday.

This is my third time to Eftalia Marin and every time me and my family come here we are made to feel more than welcome all the staff are polite and freindly they greet you every time u see them I have got a good couple of favourite workers the management teams are amazing and also the cocktails bar members of staff and the bar captains from cocktail bar are amazing their friendly and always have time to help u with any questions or to give advice with any questions I have for them, and ive got a good freind ship with many workers here and security manager Fuat, and the guest relations worker Iremsu is always their to help u with anythink and she is also very freindly and makes u feel very welcome in the hotel,that’s what makes this hotel have an amazing atmosphere this is the main reason we come back for our family holiday 3 times and definitely many more in the future

This year was me and my family’s 3rd time visiting Eftalia Marin, Turkey. We always come for two weeks at a time as this gives us time to explore all aspects of this hotel has to offer. ALL Staff are all welcoming and friendly and will do anything for theres visitors. We upgraded our room to a family room and this was exceptional. This was very clean, very big and perfect for our family of 4. Entertainment every night for the family and music on the night for both children and adults and are open for music suggestions, amazing atmosphere ! This is an all inclusive hotel, there is always somewhere to get food and drink from whatever the time. Worldwide cuisine with many options.Great value for money. Any questions you have while at the hotel visit the guest relations and ask for iremsu and she will help you with any enquiries or questions you may have, she is amazing! Thankyou again Eftalia Marin! We will see you again next year!
