⭐ 1-Star Review — Definitely Not a 5-Star Hotel We stayed at this hotel for 15 nights during our summer holiday in Turkey, and unfortunately, I can honestly say that this was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we have ever had. This hotel is advertised as five-star, but in our experience, it is nowhere near that standard. There are so many issues that it is difficult to know where to start. Housekeeping is extremely poor. Our room was not properly cleaned during our stay. The cleaners would essentially just throw in some towels and quickly make the bed before leaving. Despite repeatedly asking for the dispensers to be refilled, there was no shower gel or hand soap available. Our room telephone did not work either. The food and restaurant service were another major disappointment. Food is removed approximately an hour before the advertised closing time, leaving guests with very limited choice if they arrive later. The food is also repeated repeatedly every single day, with very little variety throughout a 15-night stay. Even more concerning, on several occasions my chicken was visibly pink and appeared undercooked. This was brought to the attention of staff, yet there was very little concern or urgency shown. I also personally witnessed a guest tasting food directly from a serving utensil and then putting the utensil back into the food, which was extremely unhygienic and should have been dealt with immediately. There is also no proper queuing system in the restaurant. Guests push and rush to get food, and unfortunately some guests were extremely rude and aggressive. The overall organisation of the restaurant is very poor. For a hotel claiming to be five-star, the room facilities are also disappointing. There were no bathrobes or slippers, which I would expect from a hotel of this category. The blanket provided was extremely thin and there was no proper duvet. The facilities and opening times are another issue. Food and certain services are stopped well before the advertised closing times, and guests are effectively ushered out of the indoor pool just minutes after closing time. Even the ice cream service is very limited — there are no sweets/lollies available, and ice cream is only offered at a specific time and in a specific location. The reception staff were particularly disappointing. On several occasions we found them to be rude, unhelpful and unwilling to properly address our concerns. There is also a significant lack of English-speaking staff, which makes communicating problems and requesting assistance unnecessarily difficult for an international hotel. The animation team was another huge disappointment, particularly for families with children. There was very little encouragement or engagement with the children, and the entertainment overall was nowhere near what we would expect from a five-star family resort. The entertainment area itself is also extremely uncomfortable and impractical. The seating arrangement means that people constantly have to squeeze past each other, and drinks are regularly knocked over onto other guests. It is simply not a well-designed or enjoyable area. What makes all of this even more frustrating is that I repeatedly complained to the hotel during our 15-night stay. Unfortunately, I felt that my complaints were simply ignored. There appeared to be very little interest in actually resolving the problems or improving our experience. After spending two weeks here, I genuinely struggled to find any positives to mention. This hotel does not, in my opinion, deserve a five-star rating. The level of cleanliness, food quality, customer service, facilities, organisation and entertainment falls significantly below what I would expect from a five-star resort. I will also be taking this matter further with TUI, as the experience did not match the standard that was advertised to us when we booked. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering booking this hotel research it very carefully and manage their expectations. Based on our 15-night stay, we would definitely not return.

Our second holiday at this hotel, very pleased with the team and animation especially to mention Elif very helpful. Kids have had a wonderful time, the beach and the pool is spectacular. Will definitely visit again.

Very disappointing experience definitely not a 5-star resort We stayed at Horus Paradise Luxury Resort for five nights and six days, and unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing from beginning to end The problems started at check-in. The staff we met were unfriendly and seemed irritated, and their attitude and responses were often aggressive and unprofessional. We arrived early in the morning and, despite travelling with two small children, we had to wait from around 6:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. before we could enter our room. Spending almost an entire day waiting in a corridor with two children was extremely uncomfortable The food was another major disappointment. Yes, there was a large variety, but quantity does not compensate for poor quality. A large part of the food was basically fast food, fried food and dishes that appeared to be prepared in a very basic way and simply put out for guests. Much of the food tasted extremely heavy, with too many herbs and strong flavours. Some dishes appeared dry or as though they had been sitting out for a long time. Overall, the quality was far below what we expected from a resort advertised at this level The desserts were particularly disappointing. There was a pastry area, but the same desserts served at breakfast, lunch and dinner seemed to be repeatedly brought back and presented again. There was very little variety and almost nothing that felt freshly prepared. It gave us the impression that the same desserts were simply being circulated throughout the day rather than offering fresh products to guests The drinks and cocktails were equally disappointing. We tried several cocktails, but unfortunately they were all of very poor quality. They tasted mainly of extremely sweet, low-quality syrups and cheap soft drinks, rather than properly prepared cocktails. The drinks seemed to be made quickly and without any real attention to quality or presentation. Every time we went to the bar, the experience was similar: drinks made with syrups and served without the level of professionalism we would expect from a resort of this category The service was also far below what we expected. Many of the waiters did not speak English and communicated mainly in Russian or Turkish. When we needed assistance, it was often very difficult to communicate and get any useful help. We found the staff generally unprofessional and not particularly helpful The situation on our departure day was especially frustrating. We had to leave our room at 12:00 p.m. and then wait approximately eight and a half hours for our airport shuttle. We were travelling with two children, and although there were chairs available, the waiting area was noisy and crowded, making it practically impossible for the children to sleep or rest. Spending such a long time waiting in a corridor with two small children was exhausting The swimming pool was another concern. The water did not look clean or clear, which made us uncomfortable about allowing the children to swim There were also serious problems with organisation. At meal times, it was often difficult to find a free table. Around the pool, finding a free sun lounger with an umbrella was almost impossible. We frequently had to walk around carrying the children, looking for somewhere to sit in the shade. For a resort of this size and category, this should be managed much better The hotel itself also looks quite old and would benefit from significant renovation and better maintenance Overall, we left very disappointed. We came for a relaxing family holiday, but instead we experienced poor service, poor organisation, low-quality food and drinks, repetitive desserts, concerns about cleanliness, and extremely long waiting times For us, the biggest problem is that the resort has the appearance and facilities of a large holiday complex, but the quality of the food, beverages, service and organisation simply does not match the level that we expected Unfortunately, this was one of the worst hotel experiences we have had, especially as we were travelling with two young children. Based on our experience, we would not recommend this resort to families and certainly would not consider staying here again.
