Hotel Side Star Resort

Side Star is an amazing hotel let down only by a couple of things the location as there are no bars or restaurants local only a supermarket and a few other little shops selling the same items,, the entertainment was poor with outside entertainment offering dance nights, magic show and singers that sounded like you were at a karaoke bar another issue is the area where the evening entertainment takes place as you have to sit in rows and not at a table which makes conversation difficult if you’re with a family. The onsite entertainment staff were good to a degree but they can be annoying after a few days of hearing the same songs a pool games on repeat, they did put a couple of party nights on of which was a White Gala which looked amazing however the singer they hired let it down massively. The pool was great plenty of parasols as long as you get one before 9 am, the beach is sandy and only a 5 minute walk again plenty of sun beds as the beach is down hill the walk back can be tiring in the mid day sun however it did not stop me going most days. 99.9% of the staff are really friendly and helpful there were one or two grumpy bar staff, cocktails at the bar were hit and miss as some of the people behind the bar were clearly not bar staff and did not have clue and on more than one occasion forgetting to put alcohol in. The food was delicious and caters for all, I have fussy kids and they found food they enjoyed, the deserts are what to be expected in Turkey they look amazing but don’t taste great but the alternative is the fruit as there were so many choices. The hotel and more importantly my room was very clean, with pool towels provided. A bus stops outside the hotel and for 10 euros for four of us takes you to SIDE old town this is a must I recommend you go there but you should go about 1700 hrs in the evening. If the hotel could sort out the entertainment location and improve the choice of entertainment they book then this would be easily be a 5 Star hotel and I would return but due to the poor entertainment I would not come back which is a shame because everything else was perfect.

Our family of five had a wonderful stay at Side Star Resort. From the moment we booked, communication was smooth and helpful, the team arranged a cot and ensured our room needs were met. I want to highlight the lady receptionist on the evening of 14 August, whose professionalism and patience were outstanding. She helped resolve a payment issue when my bank cards were left at home and even arranged two strollers for us at no extra cost. Truly exceptional service. We were delighted to be allocated a sea‑view family room in the main building, featuring two interconnected rooms and a lovely view of both the pool and the sea. The room was immaculately clean, housekeeping was excellent, and the minibar was restocked daily with a great selection of drinks. Food at the main buffet was consistently good, and snacks at the pool and beach bars were excellent. Even if some dishes repeat over longer stays, there is still plenty of variety. Our children enjoyed every meal, from breakfast to dinner and snacks in between. The facilities were perfect for families, the pool slides, water‑play area, private beach access, and evening entertainment (we loved the Medusa dance show) made the stay even more enjoyable. The resort is surrounded by greenery, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The chill‑out zone overlooking the beach is a beautiful spot for sunrise and sunset. All staff were friendly, professional, and welcoming. This resort offers great value for money, and I highly recommend it, especially for families with children. Just got home from a fabulous 10 night stay at side star resort. This is our second time and it just gets better and better! Food was lovely, A La carts were delicious and the hotel is so clean and well maintained! Couldn't ask for anything more. The entertainers are great, and Atakan was our favourite. He really made our stay special, always taking time to make sure everyone felt included and relaxed. Very funny and engaging which made his darts sessions enjoyable (and I dont even like darts, so that was impressive). Listening to him switch languages to make sure all nationalities could be involved was really impressive! So a big thank you to him! All staff, whether it's cleaners, pool lifeguards, bar staff were always happy and made you feel really welcomed. Would recommend this hotel and cant wait to go back!

Really lovely hotel - spotlessly clean, friendly staff and good facilities. Paid extra for a separate family area in room which was worth it for teenager and friend to heve some privacy (as well as mum and dad!). Great room cleaning and top ups to mini bar frequently - even when the teenagers were sleeping and we were just trading in the hall way! Lots of variety in terms of food in the main restaurant - I’d say this is better than some all inclusive holidays I have had. Found the entertainment in the evening a little hit and miss - by 11 it felt like they were clearing down and tidying for the next day with no real atmosphere which then just encourages you to go to bed. Vegas party was fabulous (even though some people were upset at the pool area closing - I actually defended some of the staff passing on the message to other holiday makers (yes British 🙄🙈) and said they needed to take it up with management not the poor hard working staff doing their jobs by the pool). Beach bar and food fantastic and loved the patisserie for a nice quieter coffee every day - lovely members of staff here. Agree with the comments about sunbeds - we did see towels being removed and did manage to find a spot each day - also witnessed a fight over them too though! 🙈 The real disappointment came when we queued for AN HOUR to book the à la carte restaurant as customer service point (surely there’s a quicker / more efficient way to do this) to be told that as we were only 6 nights we needed to pay €10 each for our party of 4. I was astounded. Yes, the Jet2 app details you get 3 included with a minimum of a 7 night stay so i therefore expected we’d get 1, maybe 2. After queuing for this length of time and asking the children to choose which one they wanted we went along with it rather than come back with disappointing news. However I am appalled that after paying 4 thousand pound for a holiday we do not get 1 night in the à la carte and had to pay €40 when we checked out. Had we stayed one more night we’d get 3?! This is disproportionate and in my opinion needs looking at. We spoke to a family of 4 who had booked a 7 night stay, paid less than us for their holiday and weren’t planning on using all their allocation, this needs looking at and would put me off staying again. We stayed 6 nights for home commitments not to do with price and this does leave a little sour taste. Having said that the experience in the restaurant was lovely and we enjoyed the food and service.
