Lara Barut Collection

We have literally just returned from 9 wonderful nights at the Lara Barut Collection in Antalya, and I honestly cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. This was our first ever all inclusive holiday as a family, so I have to admit I was a little apprehensive beforehand. I really didn’t know what to expect from an all inclusive resort, but from the moment we arrived, the whole experience exceeded our expectations in every possible way. We are a family of five, two adults and three children aged between 11 and 15, and every single one of us had an amazing time. The rooms We had two rooms, both of which were lovely and exceptionally well maintained. The facilities were excellent, everything was spotlessly clean, and the rooms were cleaned beautifully every day. A special mention has to go to FATMA, our lovely room cleaner. She was such a sweet and friendly lady and always went the extra mile, adding little touches that made our stay feel even more special. We got to know her during our stay and looked forward to saying good morning to her every day. Thank you, Fatma! The hotel and grounds The entire resort is immaculate. The grounds, gardens, lawns, public areas and beach are all maintained to an incredibly high standard. Everywhere you look, everything is clean, tidy and beautifully presented. The beach in particular was absolutely immaculate, and there was always such a lovely atmosphere throughout the resort. The restaurants The food and restaurant choices were fantastic, and we had no real difficulty getting into the à la carte restaurants. You do need to be organised and ready to book when the reservation slots open, but even when we had difficulties because we were staying in two separate rooms, Guest Relations were incredibly helpful. On one occasion I had managed to book for three people, while my husband couldn’t get onto the app to book the other two. A quick WhatsApp message to Guest Relations and, nine times out of ten, they were able to work their magic and arrange for all five of us to dine together. That level of service really makes a difference. Entertainment and activities The entertainment was fantastic. The shows, live music and beach club were all brilliant. We particularly loved the beach club music starting around 4pm each day. It really got everyone into the holiday mood! But for our family, the ANIMATION TEAM deserve a huge mention. They work incredibly hard and genuinely make such a difference to the whole experience, both during the day and in the evenings. From water polo and volleyball to the morning water games and all the other activities, there was always something happening. My husband and son joined the water polo virtually every day and absolutely loved it. And then there is GAMZE. I really want to give Gamze a special personal mention because she was an absolute star and made our holiday even more special. Gamze is full of enthusiasm, energy, kindness and fun. She has this amazing ability to get everyone involved. Suddenly you’re dancing, laughing and joining in even if you hadn’t planned to! Our children absolutely adored her. She ran the water polo every day we were there, as well as the water activity games, and she was constantly full of energy and enthusiasm. I honestly don’t know how the animation team manage to keep up that level of energy day after day because it must be unbelievably hard work. Gamze and the rest of the animation team are an absolute asset to the Lara Barut Collection, and I would like to say a very personal thank you to her and the others for making our family holiday so memorable and for giving us memories that we will genuinely never forget. Overall, we were completely blown away by the Lara Barut Collection. The hotel, the facilities, the cleanliness, the food, the entertainment and, most importantly, the people who work there all contributed to what was an unforgettable holiday. We would 100% return. In fact, we haven’t even been home for 24 hours and I’m already missing the hotel and the people there! Thank you so much to everyone at Lara Barut Collection for giving our family such a fantastic holiday. We hope to see you all again very soon! Just returned from our third visit to Lara Barut with the first in 2022, next 2025 and went to Voyage and Ella Excellence in the years in between. Pool/slides: Clean and great for people with children who aren’t strong swimmers with a stepped entrance at one end and walk in at the other. Cleaners coming round regularly to collect glasses etc Slides brilliant, even the smaller ones are good and the bigger ones can be used by smaller children with an adult. Grounds Immaculately kept, the gardeners are constantly on the go keeping everything green even in 40 degree heat Food Buffet, one of the best that I have visited, great variety with themed nights. A la carte, all brilliant food that you’d be happy to pay a good price for in the UK, all of which included in the price, unlike most other Turkish hotels. We used these 12 out of 14 nights and didn’t have a problem with getting booked. Alarm set for 959am and got booked straight in Entertainment Visited the amphitheatre and the shows were typical holiday resort entertainment, the motorbike show was excellent. Bands in meltem bar were always good and animation team did a great job of getting people dancing without being pushy for those who didn’t want to. Party nights were probably unnecessarily loud, but the laser shows and production were very professional Animation team do an excellent job all day, in searing heat, and really are a credit to the hotel. Jenya was fantastic on the daily darts my son played, Buket was also brilliant with my son who she made feel very special, but a special mention has to go to Amigo. My son and him had a great relationship last year and was great to see that continue this year. We all enjoyed our daily chats with him and hope to see him again next year. He seems to genuinely enjoy his job and interacting with guests, a real credit to the team. Feedback Cancelling the daily pool game due to some complaining about not being able to sleep at 12pm is a bit strange, pleased to see it reinstated but really should be at the main pool. Some areas of the hotel rooms are looking like they need a bit of maintenance, peeling paint in the shower for example. Easier to book a la cartes via whatasapp like other hotels, but are included in price for Lara barut and food is on a par (therefore no surcharge or several hundred euro bill on check out), depends what’s more important to you. Some of the outdoor restaurants would benefit from portable air con units rather than fans, similarly with the amphitheater where there were fans at voyage. The quality of the drinks at meltem bar should be consistent whether you order at the bar yourself or use waiter service. We and others did notice when using waiter service the drinks would have next to no alcohol in them. Summary Overall a fantastic visit, and very likely to return next year

We ate lunch at Turunc each day, which we really enjoyed. What made it especially great were the staff, particularly Hanife, who looked after us so well. She was friendly, (always smiling!) welcoming and knowledgeable and made the experience special. And, remembered out favourite drinks, too, which was really nice. Hanife is a credit to the hotel, a great person and hard worker.

thanks again for a great vacation. We were here for the 4th time and again really enjoyed it. Especially again the great premises and your very nice people, especially the team at the lagoon pool bar around Tayland and Ecem, the team at Iro sushi and Akdeniz, the team at breakfast outside at the cildren area around Mehmet/team, the Sports Team (Atiye/Funda) and so many other. Give them a big thanks from us again! Looking forward to our next stay 😃
