Rixos Park Belek – The Land of Legends Theme Park Free Access

Overall, we’ve had a good stay at Rixos Park Belek. The accommodation is comfortable, the hotel has good amenities and the pool area is very nice. The drinks have also been absolutely fine — no complaints there. Unfortunately, the food is where I feel the hotel falls short. We were told there is a different theme in the buffet every night, but in reality the theme seems to apply to only a relatively small section, while much of the rest of the buffet is very similar each evening. After a few nights, it does become quite repetitive. You are also only entitled to one à la carte restaurant visit during a seven-night stay. The menu is fairly limited, and you have to book through the app. If everything is fully booked, then unfortunately you miss out. I think this could be handled much better, particularly for an all-inclusive resort that markets itself as a luxury experience. There is a restaurant by the pool which operates throughout the day, split between breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food available here is very basic, and I think the hotel is missing a huge opportunity. If this were developed into a proper buffet-style lunch and dinner venue, it could be a fantastic option and would also take some pressure off the main restaurant. The main restaurant can be absolute chaos at times. It is extremely busy and, combined with the buffet layout, doesn’t make for a particularly relaxing dining experience. One frustration which isn’t really the hotel’s fault, but is something the hotel could perhaps manage better, is the lack of queuing etiquette from some guests. We experienced numerous occasions where guests would push in front of others at the buffet, including when children were waiting for food. The same happened with the small shuttle buses around the resort. On several occasions we were first waiting at our designated stop, only for groups to arrive afterwards and push straight onto the bus ahead of us. I had to point this out more than once. I think clearer queuing arrangements and staff presence at busy points would help considerably. So, would I come back? Probably not. That’s not to say we’ve had a bad holiday — we haven’t. The hotel itself is good, the accommodation is comfortable and there are plenty of facilities. However, having stayed in Turkey before, I was expecting a more genuinely luxurious resort experience from Rixos, and unfortunately this hasn’t quite lived up to those expectations. If you’re looking for a decent all-inclusive hotel with good pools and facilities, you’ll have a good time here. But if you’re expecting a high-end luxury resort experience, I think there are better options in Belek.

The location is perfect, so close to the beach, not from from Belek, and a short trip to.Land of Legends. The atmosphere is friendly, staff are welcoming and very helpful. The rooms are really nice and spacious, our only complaint was we were a party of 6 witg two rooms and would have preferred interconnecting rooms. The value of the hotel is good due to its access to the land of legends with free transport. The food is varied and very nice with something for everyone.

I have just got back from a 9 night stay at Rixos Belek Park and i have to say that i will not be returning. We travelled as a family of 3, my partner, my 7 year old daughter and myself. We arrived in the early hours of the morning and check in was pretty straight forward. Our room was decent, with a comfy bed and a sofa bed for our daughter. Everything worked ok, apart from a few bulbs not working in the odd light but that wasnt a big deal. The rooms are a little dated, and in need of some refreshing. The maid service was adequate, beds made and a light clean daily but our balcony was never swept but again, no big deal. The communal areas are kept very clean and the gardens and grounds are immaculate. The main pool area needs work. The wooden decking around it is in major need of redoing. Loose boards, heads of screws sticking up in places, uneven and rough. You’re taking a chance walking bare foot on it. Also the main pool is all one depth, 140cm, which is just a bit too deep for your average 7 year old to stand in. No shallow end means constant treading water or swimming for younger kids. Again not a massive deal but something to bear in mind if you have children who cant swim. The kids pool in the main area is shallow, but more for 2-3 year olds, plus its tiny. There are plenty of sunbeds along with the grassed area near the beach so finding a bed isnt an issue. Next, the food. We are not the most adventurous as family when it comes to food. There are alot of options if you are adventurous but it did seem to be the same food each day. The chefs work hard and the waiting staff do also. Some are more accommodating others. Main issue with the buffet is its chaos, lack of tables, queues for food and just carnage at popular times. I guess the same can be said for most all inclusive buffets but it does get a bit tiring after a week. We tried to visit out of popular hours to avoid the chaos. Alot of the chaos comes down to the people, which is not any fault of the hotels, but we came across alot of rude obnoxious guests who had a massive lack of manners or respect. Our biggest disappointment was the evening entertainment and lack fun for kids. Aside from live music in the beach bar each evening there wasnt anything else. Definately nothing for older kids. Also the beach bar is obviously outside, so if like us, you didnt fancy sitting in 30 degree heat and humidity in the evening, there wasnt any alternative inside so it was usually just back to the room. Also i would say this isnt a kid friendly hotel. When i say kids i mean from ages 6-12. If we werent playing with our daughter then there wasnt much else for her to do to amuse herself. No waterslides or kids activites. There are even signs saying not to jump into the main pool in case of splashing people. We did visit land of legends but it wasnt for us. It was way too busy and 40 degrees. The dolphin show was amazing but the rest was just far too busy to enjoy. I would definately go back but would have to be out of season. The shuttle service from the hotel was very good but on the return it was awful. No staff were present to marshall the boarding of the bus and getting on was absolute chaos. Nobody seemed to queue so it was just a crush for the door. After being unable to get on 2 buses we decided to get a taxi. Kind of makes a free shuttle a bit pointless. I would say this hotel caters for the turkish. They seemed to receive alot more favourable treatment, allowed to push in to buffet, bus and bar queues and nothing be said. I experienced many disrespectful people with no manners and whilst this is not in the control of the hotel, it is in there control not to encourage this behaviour. The language barrier here is a big one, and it regretfully did have an impact on our experience. As much as we had a lovely holiday i feel that it was from the time spent together not for the experience the hotel provided. I definately did not feel as relaxed as i should have on a family holiday and for me that would stop me returning or recommending Rixos Belek Park.

Paddling was very good, enjoyed it and went multiple times.
