Hotel Koral

We've stayed at the koral several times and i feel its got to the point where the hotel needs modernising. Its like theres less and less facilities each time. The bathrooms look aged and shower sealant was removed. The restaurant is adequate but more vegetarian options needed and an extra toaster. The staff are polite and the room was always cleaned well. Also there is a pool life guard .

We've been coming on holiday to Varna/Nessebar/Burgas/Sunny Beach Bulgaria for 18 years. We normally stay in Varna and visit Saints Constantine & Helena on the bus (just 1 euro, number 31a bus from the Cathedral in Varna to Lidl Saints Constantine and Helena). This year, we decided to stay 'in' Saints Constantine and Helena, and visit Varna on the bus. We've used the facilities at Hotel Koral many, many times before. Non resident guests can 'pay' a nominal day rate, just to use the pool and facilities. We booked 10 nights half board inclusive of flights through Love Holidays. £800 each, half board with flights in high season is a great deal! As we knew the hotel, we knew what to expect. Hotel Koral has a FANTASTIC pool, surrounded by nature and trees, mix of grassland and paved areas. Exceptionally clean pool, full sun all day but plenty of natural tree shade or parasols, loads of sunbeds and NEVER fully packed around the pool, always space and tranquility. Poolside bar and also hotel bar available - clean toilets. Pool has a lifeguard 10am until 6pm. The rooms are a little dated but clean. I think they should bin the old (stinky?) carpets and just tile the floors tbh. The restaurant is clean, well staffed and plenty of seating inside and outside. The food is basic, nothing fancy but edible. There's always something on offer to choose! Breakfast is hot or continental. The tea/coffee/hot drinks are only available for breakfast, the coffee isn't great tbh. We opted for hot water, fresh lemon and honey. Staff are great, room make-up and towels no issue, replaced daily if you wish. Very close to the bus stops at Lidl, and a lovely walk down to the seafront. Every evening we walked into town/the beach after dinner - beautiful! The main issue we had was the noise from the ducting. A constant low drone sound in the rooms, but if you shut the bathroom and bedroom door it blocks most of it out. The air con works well, also noisy though. A great value hotel in a FANTASTIC resort area!

It was just horrible. Food was awful, rooms were dirty, hotel doesn't look like on the website (maybe 40years ago.....)
