Hotel Plaza Duce

Absolutely blown away by the kindness and helpfulness of ALL of the staff during our whole stay at Hotel Plaza. From reception to cleaning staff to waiters and waitresses and even the regular taxi drivers! Stayed here for a week for our Honeymoon and we had the Superior Deluxe Sea View room. The room was spacious and nothing was ever too much for the cleaners who changed towels and topped things up everyday. The hotel is absolutely spotless EVERYWHERE! The reception staff gave us recommendations on where to go and eat and were always helpful and friendly. Inside and outside pool very nice and clean all the time. Beautiful views from the balcony. Breakfast was delicious and was plenty on offer. There was a fair few people but there’s plenty of room between tables. We took a bus to Split from a bus stop just down the road. Took about 40 minutes providing no traffic. Just a warning Split can be VERY busy and touristy. I don’t cope well with crowds anyway but certain areas were very busy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone. They are just fabulous!! Thank you to all at Hotel Plaza ☺️

This is our second time visiting and love it more and more. The staff cant do enough for you, they are friendly and attentive. It was lovely to see so many here again from last year. The rooms are very modern and comfortable and have amazing views of the sea. The pool and sun bed area was never too busy. The buffet breakfast and evening meals were plentiful with lots of choices. Prices for drinks are also very reasonable. We will be back next year!

Super location along the coast from Split. Great for exploring and for a peaceful getaway. Easy and enjoyable walk along the seafront to Omis which is a beautiful town with plenty to see and do. We recommend going up the watch tower on the hillside for brilliant views of the area and also to do a boat ride going inland along the Cetina river, beautiful scenery and very peaceful and relaxing. Getting a bus from outside the hotel to Split was very easy and also cheap using the Promet App. Cannot fault the hotel at all and it is definitely one of the best places we’ve ever stayed. From the moment we arrived we were impressed by the friendliness and service of all the staff. The young man who took us to our room gave us a very comprehensive tour of all the facilities and a potted history of the area, along with what there was around the hotel and suggestions of key places to visit whilst we were there. The staff and service in the bars and restaurants were superb, they epitomised what the ‘service industry’ should be. Nothing was ever too much trouble. The quality of the food and drinks were top notch and the food certainly didn’t feel like you were in a typical ‘buffet’ style restaurant, more like a table served a la carte. There was always plenty of freshly prepared food being brought out, no matter what time you went in to eat. The pool, sunbed and sun terrace/lounge area was a very pleasant and relaxing area where we sometimes spent the whole day! Drinks and food could be served at your sunbed or in the lounge area, where waiters also came to take your order if you wished, rather than going to the bar. The sunbeds and lounge chairs were good quality and well maintained with plenty of parasols if you required one. No matter what time of day you went out there would be sunbeds available. The pool was very clean and had a range of facilities such as a jacuzzi. Pool towels could be changed whenever you wished, down in the spa. The views from the sun terrace were amazing, looking straight across to Brac Island, so relaxing. The evening entertainment was held in this area too. Our room 901 was superb, great size, modern facilities, spotlessly clean and a massive sun terrace with two sunbeds and table and chairs and a mass of free space! It overlooked gardens and the sea. We made sure we walked to and from our room every day, only using the lift when we first arrived and when we left with our cases! We had to get some exercise in, especially on the days when we just lounged by the pool! The mass of stairs did test our legs at times! Especially after a day out sightseeing! Don’t worry though, you can always use the lifts. All in all a fantastic place to stay and I would certainly recommend to anyone visiting this area of Croatia - don’t stay anywhere else!

Absolutey Top class!! So regret downgrading to Plaza Omis this year. Not a patch on the service, friendliness and facilities provided at Duce.

Fantastic friendly 4 star hotel which could easily be 5 star. It overlooks the sea with the island of Brac in the background, which instilled you to sit on the balcony and never tire of the view. The rooms are excellent and are kept clean by the wonderful cleaning staff. We went for half board and the buffet style breakfast and evening meal never failed to disappoint. Albeit the hotel looks large it was extremely quiet. All the staff were friendly and nothing was too much bother, in fact our overall experience was 5 star and certainly good value. Hotel is located about 50 minutes south of Split and the village of Omiš some 10 minutes further along, both places we visited using the local bus.
