Valamar Meteor Hotel

Fantastic child friendly hotel. Hotel was tidy with almost unlimited amount of activities for children. Children’s playroom is just simply other level, there was everything. Pool area was really good with a lot of space for sun bathers, adults and then the children’s pools is another story. Location was perfect adjacent to the beach and short walk to the old side of Makarska. Rooms were relatively tight but we managed well with 2 adults + 2 children. Breakfast buffet was excellent and did not feel that it missed anything. The supervision around the hotel was relatively minor as for example one of the other hotel guest’s children were standing and pissing in the feet washing pool without interaction by staff and also same crew brought children’s toys at the pool area (from the receptions) without any interactions. Gym was tidy and surprisingly well furnished for hotel gym with multi function squat/bench rack and variety of dumbells from 4kg to 40kg We chose Makarska and Valamar Meteor by the looks of the photographs from website and it actually exceeded all our expectations.

We thoroughly enjoyed our hotel stay. We stayed here in 2023 and we got married in August this year, when planning this we were trying to decide where to go for honeymoon. We remember how much we enjoyed the hotel, location, friendly people and the beach and decided to return but this time with a bigger balcony that included loungers on it. We had the most amazing honeymoon and I’ve travelled quite a few places but honestly find the beach here my favourite beach I’ve ever been to! The water never ceases to amaze me and it’s not overcrowded. It’s only a short walk from the hotel and we would get a lounger each day. The food in the hotel has a wide variety to choose from and it’s really tasty!! The staff are always so accommodating, friendly and approachable and the facilities are incredible. Everything is very clean and feels like new. The spa is absolutely fantastic, very clean, sparkling facilities. We had a massage and used the indoor pool too as well as the sauna. There’s nothing this hotel doesn’t have. We hope to be back, it really feels 5*

We travelled to Makarska with a group of friends and had a wonderful stay at the hotel. A special thank you to Maja, who was absolutely lovely and incredibly helpful both before and during our stay. She helped us with recommendations for restaurants, airport transfers and things to do in Makarska, and was always happy to assist with a smile. Maja also helped us arrange a private boat trip, which turned out to be one of the highlights of our entire trip. It was simply a magical day on the sea, with swimming, snorkeling, lunch and beautiful surroundings. Everything was perfectly organized, and we could not have asked for a better experience. Having someone like Maja at the hotel made our stay extra special. She went above and beyond to make sure we had a fantastic holiday, and we are very grateful for all her help and kindness. Thank you for a wonderful stay and for making our girls’ trip to Makarska so memorable. We would definitely love to come back! ❤️

Fantastic trip up to Biokovo Skywalk! The minibus was comfortable, the journey was smooth and the views along the way were amazing. The Skywalk itself was breathtaking and definitely a must-see. Highly recommend this trip!” 🌄
