Valamar Meteor Hotel

Great location just off the promenade with beautiful views. A easy walk to the old town. Large family hotel with plenty to do for adults and children. Rooms were large and clean with good housekeeping service. Balconies are pretty small though. Breakfast was delicious with so much choice and fresh items made on request. Large reception and social, bar area. All staff very nice but shout out to Goran who was very professional and friendly. Live music a few times a week. Definitely recommended.

My stay at Valamar Meteor Hotel was truly unforgettable. From the very first day, I felt welcomed and cared for, which made the whole experience even more special. What impressed me the most was the food. Every meal was delicious, fresh, and prepared with great attention to detail. There was always plenty of choice, and I genuinely looked forward to every breakfast and dinner. The location is simply fantastic. Being so close to the beach and just a short walk from the beautiful town center of Makarska made it easy to enjoy both relaxation and exploring the local area. Most of all, I would like to thank the staff. Their kindness, professionalism, and genuine warmth made a big difference. No request was too much, and they always greeted guests with a smile. Their hospitality is what turned a great holiday into an exceptional one. I left with wonderful memories and hope to return again soon. I can wholeheartedly recommend Valamar Meteor Hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday with excellent food, a perfect location, and outstanding service. On arrival we were greeted with a friendly smile and given all the information about the hotel by the Receptionist and also that our room was ready 12pm Not many Hotels say that. The Reception /lobby /atrium area was clean and very spacious with a Bar ,Seating area and Experience Concierge Trips area. Our room did have a partial sea view which was ok, do make sure you have a shaver plug or shaver is well charged up as our bathroom did not have a shaver point. ,The suites are the rooms at the front with full sea view. Both the outdoor and indoor pools are long and very well kept with the outside pool having views over the bay, The Children have their own pool with slide and other water features, There were plenty of sunbeds and sun shades ,Pool opens at 9am , the area also has a cafe/bar and showers and pop up changing area. The Breakfast and evening dinner are Buffet with lots of choices . The Staff are very courteous ,Friendly and very efficient in all aspects of the Hotel. The Adult daytime activities run on Monday, Wednesday and Friday There is a Gym which has very cold water supply for filling water bottles ,as the Bottled water in the shops is rather expensive. The Evening Entertainment ,They have bands come in and play outside ,These bands are good both in Vocals and musicianship .All activities are on the Valamar app which is easy to download. Maja and Anja were very cheerful and very helpful in booking trips with Experience Concierge ,we did not bother with Tui as their trips were far better. The position of the hotel is good ,only 20 mins walk from the harbour for boat trips and lots of restaurants and bars. The Beach is directly opposite the hotel ,with payable waterparks for the youngsters further up the beach. The promenade has lots of trees hanging over the beach so there was lots of shade as it was very hot. There is a tourist train which has a hour round trip . Overall The Meteor is a very good hotel , in a good position and if we were to come back to the area we would definitely book a stay here.
